Milan Lysak thank you!!! It is and has been my favorite for a while and I cannot see that changing. Such a charming little burst of color whenever you poke your head in the grow room!
Wow your post is gorgeous. Well done. 👏👏👏 lepanthes seems super easy and fun. I have to get my temps under control before I even think of bringing one home.
Orchidelirium thank you so much!! I certainly hope one does find its way into your collection! These little guys are quite the treat and just about the most warmth tolerant Lepanthes you can find! Can probably take up to 85F if you can keep the humidity about 85%. Where there’s a 🍍, there’s a way! 😝
Some days when the heat isn’t so intense I think hmm maybe I could. But then we get a sultry day and I’m Like yea... I don’t want to torture anything plus I managed to fill my tent lol. 🥴
Well dearest you had me hooked way before the video! So maybe you have talked others into it to! 😆 going on week 2 with mine. So far so good! Gonna be nervous wreck when I remount! Whew! Im already shaking thinking about it!!!🤣
Paula Marsh I know you’ll do great!! Soak the cork tile well first and you may be surprised. I’ve had good luck extracting off the ecuagenera mounts so far. I cannot wait to see yours on their new homes one day soon! Should be about acclimated now, huh? ;)
Thank you :-) I like your video and the orchid very much, you made me want to buy one, it is hard to get one in the UK but I managed to find it. Mine is very small compare to yours it only has about 3 leaves. Hopefully with lots of care mine will look like yours one day.
Nadia La Rosa congratulations!! I’m so thrilled you found one! They are charmers and very hardy for a miniature, I know you’ll do great. Thanks for your kind words, please feel free to reach out if you need any help. Happy growing :)
Gorgeous, love that plant close up and now I can see why it is in flower so long, it is a perpetual flowerer on the same spike and when you did the close ups I counted at least 9 previous flowering’s, so tiny but so so beautiful. I now need to re-mount mine so that it can romp away like yours. Do you buy your bark as large pieces then break it up or are you able to buy little bits and pieces of mixed shapes and sizes. Could look at those flowers all day.
Hi Lynn, I just bought a 3lb bag of Cork flats. I am going to cut to fit my 2 Lepanthes Telipogoniflora that my dear sweet Bobby talked me into getting, finally! 🤣 I must say he had his work cut out for him, but when I look at his Telipogoniflora I drool!🤤
Thank you Lynn! I’m glad you enjoyed! It does bloom successively off the same spike for around a year or so, about every 3-4 weeks. Eventually the spikes turn brown and die back but by that time usually there are plenty to replace! I believe in 2 years there has only been 2 or 3 months where it wasn’t in flower. Just about all the Lepanthes species have this characteristic which is how they won their way right into my heart and collection. I typically buy my bark in bulk and break it into whatever sized pieces I need. It can be expensive to get individual pieces and I have found that with the amount of mounting I do, it is always nice to have extra on hand. Most of the Lepanthes I have received from ecuagenera on the cork tile come off somewhat easily with a good soaking ahead of time. After you get it off and get some more air around the base of the plant it should go nuts once it realizes it’s in fresh new media. I cannot wait to see once you do! Thanks so much for watching! I finally have some down time today to catch up on some UA-cam videos. Looking forward to finally watching your last 2! 😊
I am always up for being persuaded to buy more orchids, to be fair though, I dont need much persuasion. I have now found a piece of bark I am happy with in my box and I am beginning to think I should have done this ages ago and it would look quite spectacular by now but we shall see. I am hopefully going to do it later when it cools down a bit so will do a short video to share with you both.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Told you before and I'm going to say it again. Amazing plant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍀🍀🍀
