As far as drive sounds, it certainly does sound miles better than the Boss IR-2 (which everything sounded oddly similar). So... is the vasing made of plastic or metal? And not much Clean stuff shown, that was the only miss here - for me at least because, as you probably already know, I buy the amp sims purely for clean sounds and then layer that with drive pedals. Thanks for the video!
I'm pretty excited about this pedal. Looks to be direct competition with the Boss IR-2 but with a few more features. I only wish it had an fx loop. Can you use a cab (or IR) with the room reverb and delay? The user manual seems to say you cannot.
You can always add their ms-70cdr plus at either start or end of the chain, both support midi controller so if you can create presets with both pedals.
I still have the zoom bt100, I guess im lucky cause all these zoom lines have, my zoom bt100 has it. i just dont know if these new ones are better than mine I use a bd2 sd1 boss ge7 joys American with, and so far im satisfied and I have a mooer yellow compressor in the start of my chain hehehe
Nice video. But... Bro, the distorted sound of this pedal sounds terrible, like the first zoom devices, a wild bee, no bass, mid hidden and a lot of horrible highs. An almost useless presence control that changes the sound in a insignificant way. I think that after so much time Zoom could be done somethin better than that...
It's probably his amp or post-mastering. Can't imagine the pedal is lacking in bass frequencies but then again, at $179, which is a bit cheaper than the Boss IR-2, you really do get what you pay for....
@@matteomidas638they mean the boss is in high demand. That's why it has been out o stock. Have you actually played this zoom unit? I have. It sounds absolutely terrible, especially the cleans. Units from boss and line 6 are orders of magnitude better. If you care about brand and you love zoom, get the zoom. If you care about the tone, get pretty much anything else. This is the worst sounding modeler I've ever played.
I have been using a Zoom G3 for years now. I can't find a reason to replace it. Does everything I need, sounds great.
Can be used as an IR loader, turning off the preamp and using a cab only?
I’m like 99% sure yes

metal casing with plastic it says on the zoom site
Is there a way to put a midi controller into it?
At 7:20, are you using Dual Rectfier (phone screen) or the MS800 (pedal screen)
MS800

Basically you can use Reverb or IR block.

Can be used like interface pc?
Yes. It can act like an audio interface
Does anyone know the length of IR that this will support? Thanks aheada time

Any good clean tones here?
7:48-7:49, lol.
👍💥
vox tonelab ex is very better. Even though it is technology from 10 years ago
At £170 the amp models would have to be something special for me to take the plunge on this. There's units with way more functionality out there

Hey Boss you can retire the Ir-2 from the market which is basically a useless pedal against the Zoom.
Please dont, they already did that, at least temporarily, with the katana go
Lolol ok. Buy the Zoom. Literally no one cares.
And the Boss IR2 has been out of stock since the day it was released.
@@LeStraTele And so what? Think before writing those stupid comments please.
