Jackie does a great job.
Thank you Mr Brand for another great Video , i started showing your Vids to my Mechanics at my shop and they all ask is there any new videos from BRE , thats a wonderful thing Mr Brand to grab the attention of the Generation of techs i have working for me now compared to 37yrs ago....
I am impressed by how you just dove in on this one! Nice work Gerald. Im sure the head porting guy is glad not to do that repair! And I like the logo at the beginning, too.
Thanks
Well done sir. I love watching these post. All sorts of engine builds all over UA-cam but there is only a select few ppl that will do repairs like this anymore. Thabks for sharing this with us.
I can't begin to explain how impressed I am with your work. You are a master machinist and artist! And humble....
Nice work brother keep it coming I love watching you do your magic and you attention to detail ❤

Great work buddy! Love to watch you doing these videos!
Great video!!! I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Keep'em coming!
...awesome video, Gerald ! Thanks for sharing !...
Found your attachment of the dial indicator to the quill / touching off the deck, to get the seat depth, brilliant for the simplicity.
Thanks for sharing.
You Tube gives me the opportunity to learn so much about so many topics. I enjoyed your video. Amazing work!
Thank you for posting every awesome videos. Everything what you do is like a Magic to me !. Keep on coming !.
Great video I really enjoy the ones like this they show off your skills. Please make more like this.
Thanks for the video Gerald.
Beautiful work
Beautiful finish, I got an Edelbrock head that gotten a terrible weld job done to it :( and I might be stuck dealing with shaping the chamber. So this video should help me out when it comes to that.
You've just proved once again you da man when it comes to engine Gerald Chief thinks so and so does Damon keep doing what you do Sir it's perfect
Happy Thanksgiving Gerald... it's amazing how you took what looked like junk to me and turned em into like new heads
This kind of machinist work has always greatly intrigued me. Tho my life’s journey has unfolded into transportation HVAC repair, I’ve often wondered how I would have fared within the machinists community.
Nice work and just a good guy. Definitely cares.
That is some awesome machine work brother hats off
Outstanding work.
Beautiful work!!!
Nice work. I have done something similar to a cast iron head. Aluminum is a little easier to repair, but still a lot of precision work.
We have used the 30 degree bowl hog as a top dresser for the seat blend into the chamber. It closely mimics the typical Newen seat extension into the chamber.
That's good work. You're a wizard! 🍻🇺🇲
Love your content, very interesting and educational.
Masterful work 👌
Very nice job. Look brand new.😊.
How could all that work be cheaper than just buying new heads. That was an amazing job
You are getting lessons from a master machinist. For free! On how to do cylinder head repair. I just say thank you for the video.😁👍
$2300 per head
Nice work!
What a talented man & gentleman to do business with…
Awesome video. That was impressive.
I always enjoy your video's.
A true Artist you are Mr. Brand this takes talent anything can be fixed but in the wrong shop they are never the same after being fixed you sir are a master of your craft!

HELLO GERALD LOVE YOUR WORK BROTHER.
Good job buddy!!

Awesome work keep it up
Clean fix.
Amazing talent!!!
I have a set of Dart 345's and they are good heads. Even better when they're ported.
Great video!
Very nice job Gerald.
Thanks for sharing the process.
Happy Thanksgiving.
You to happy Thanksgiving
Nice work
Amazing!
Gerald I could watch you do this all day you have a Happy Thanksgiving and we'll see you in a couple of weeks
Thanks
👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
Man this was cool to watch!!!!
Culasse moteur condamnée 😢😢 Sauvée.... Bravo 👏👏👏
That’s pretty cool what you can save that would appear to be scrape.
beautiful work, most people woulda made wall art out of those
Those heads look real familiar
There's just something about watching someone restoring something back to it's glory and being better than it would be when bought. I'm sure you run tighter tolerances than most. TY for sharing! Awesome graphics on the Brand brand intro? 🤔. Did I type that right?
Yes
Awesome!!
Way badass!!
Ruby got you a new subscriber 👍😉✌️
Love to see it
If only the rest of that grenade was so easily repaired. Damn nice work.
Impressive work! Do you work on Corvair heads?
Thanks
I my drag racing days I seen a pro stock head let go and there was a cyl missing and was welded up I've never seen welding that could fix it but they were amazing stuff
I guess not many people read the video description, shame I live in Australia because I would love to work with you Gerald. It would a great opportunity to learn a lot more about machining. I guess someone will read it eventually. LOL.
😀
Brodix repaired my bb3x head after a valve went through a piston. Lots of damage to head. 8 weeks later it's hard to find where it was fixed. Nice work, delived on time as promised.
Brodix does a nice job. But the only repair their heads which I totally understand.
I remember 25-30yrs ago you could find hardly anyone that could weld cast! Aluminum heads was pretty pricey back then!
Amazing Craftsmanship.
Eine wirklich gute Handwerkskunst, wen die Hand zur CNC wird.👍
Magician!
Gerald amazing the will to fix things is strong.
same with me, question sir where is the line when its not cost affective.and just buy a new set of heads
You Have to let the custom decide. Give them a price and let them decide. Thanks
Merci!!!!!!
Wooooww.... Back from the dead. That thing is back as new.
Thanks
Real interesting. Thanks for posting this. What filler rod do you use?
4043
WOW!!!!
This video shows exactly why you pay dearly at a pro machine shop.
You pay for the incredible skill needed to do these jobs!
Thanks
Wish had a Gerald near by to machine blocks and heads for me. I have many to build.
Beautiful work. What kind of TIG rod are you using?
4043
WOW!
O i need to get thr lathes mills and scopes to start doing this kind of stuff.
I love the detail and narrative you provide, thank you! Does your guy who valves & ports the heads also cc them for volume and sign off, so they are compression-matched and competition legal?
The customer had someone that was going to do the valve job and report and CC the heads he just wanted me to do the repair work.
@@BrandRacingEngines I see, thank you for the fast response! It would be great if that process was on video, too. 😀 Cheers!
An older Wera brand Allen wrench. Recognize one anywhere. Love them concave flats they have!
That’s amazing work, I did wonder does it hurt anything when u cut in new seats that the aluminum between them cracks out with the new seats in? I wasn’t sure if it mattered or not, I guess I was worried they might crack further down but I’m not sure. I have a set of aluminum brodix heads thAt have 2.02/ 1.6 valves but need repaired so I wasn’t sure if it’s worth fixing.
E- mail picture and I can give you a price.
Great job. I love and hate aluminum heads.
🎉🎉 GREAT 👍🎉🎉
Iam always amazed at the level of damage that be repaired these days by a highly skilled engineer.
