    Mr. Wilde is so funny with his scratches. If he could speak, I imagine him saying, "Ooo, right there, you got it! Nooo, don't stop!!" I love the head action.
    I noticed with Lena and the carrots that when she pushed you a little hard and knocked you off balance, she took a half step backwards like she was apologizing. Forgot the hooman is not as sturdy on just 2 legs.
    As far as acquiring horses and not having the space, I wished I could afford to provide that, but then realized that really wouldn't solve the problem. The real problem is there isn't enough Graeme to accomplish the task, even with help. ❤❤❤ The horses you have adore and respect you. I, for one of many, appreciate that you do share the horses with us along with your knowledge. Thank you, profusely.

      Thank you very much! Yes, Mr. Wilde is the best there, he just loves is scratches. As for Lena, she talks A LOT! Not sure if she took a step back for anything other than to be prepared to block me if I moved! hahaha... Yes, I do need more time. I'm working on it!

    I had to switch jobs late last year, partly due to the economy, and partly due to burnout... What I ended up doing is far less glamorous than most people would be willing to do, but overall I'm happier due to more financial stability. Long story short, I'm just trying to say I totally understand having to do what you have to in order to support your family (and horses). I'm grateful that you're the type to conclude "nope, we're full up" and not getting horses you don't have the room for in order to get views. Your family and current horses are your priority, that really shows and is appreciated. Keep up the good work, sir!

    • @StableHorseTraining
      @StableHorseTraining  5 місяців тому +11

      Burnout is a big deal, I felt that with trimming and training other people's horses. It's not the horses that burn me out though...
      Happiness is everything, it leads to so much of a better life and lifestyle.
      Yes, I think that if more horses = more views, then that's just a bad business plan as you're never going to placate the insatiable appetite of the internet, or at least the perceived appetite. There's lots to watch and learn from the horses here I think, I learn something pretty much everyday still.
      Thank you for your kind words and positivity! It means a lot!

    NEVER apologize for lack of videos! You should only post when you want to and have time. Maybe your channel will grow more slowly that way, but a person's channel should not be their life. Your fans won't leave you over your posting frequency (or lack of). All the best to you all! ❤❤❤

    Thanks for the update! Glad things are going well. Excited to see more videos. That’s great that you are thinking of ways to continue sharing here. You asked for thoughts- I’ve learned so much from your horsey playtime videos. The straightforward format really helps to see everything that is happening. You, the horses, the unedited and complete playtime footage and your thoughts in the moment. This is what is helping me learn. No one else really does this. You are unique! 😊 Change is inevitable but I hope you’ll keep these super helpful type videos in your repertoire. All the best. And thanks for everything you do here on the channel!

I'm really glad you're enjoying your time here, thanks for letting me know!

    There's a new UA-camr who recently acquired a wonderful, mid-aged Freisian. He was told not to pet the horse's face. Don't know if there's a truly legitimate reason or not. He also stated he didn't know too much about horses ( as opposed to his daughter). I recommended he check out your channel. Hope he does so he can learn from you.
    Very glad things are working out. You do so much, Graeme.
    Anyway, thank you for checking in for us.

    • @StableHorseTraining
      @StableHorseTraining  5 місяців тому +14

      People who recommend to not pet a horse's face have never had a horse that really likes and trusts them. My horses LOVE it and have complete trust that my hands are kind and helpful. If anybody comes across a horse that doesn't like it, it's because they have been hit, or are being hit regularly still, and in turn don't trust. All of my wildies have ZERO issues with it, which tells me that horses really appreciate it and look forward to it. So, the reason is simple :) There are a ton of super poor practices being carried down the generations in the horse world, this is one of them.
      Anyways, thank for the positive thoughts, I'm glad you're enjoying your time here :)

I was not aware that you had another job but am happy that you like it and it is allowing you to take care of all the horsey needs. I have gotten my horsey fix from all of your very creative shorts which I have loved - thanks! Hey Graeme. Working on getting help? Who?How? Great idea.
    A very gentle comment made with love. Before you get more wildies perhaps you could work on establishing a pipeline for moving them on. Or be the go-to place for owners who want help bringing their wildie along, like you did for Little Miss.

    Why don’t you become an affiliate with the product you’re promoting for the horses? Brings in money with less work. Just an idea. 😊

    • @StableHorseTraining
      @StableHorseTraining  4 місяці тому

      No it doesn't unfortunately. There's no money in selling to a tiny audience of people from a tiny market. I would say maybe .01 percent of people in the market would watch this page and the market to sell to is very very small. Then I'd have to make an ad, sell out on my own channel for a product I don't own, don't provide support for nor can guarantee the quality in the long run. The video stays up forever as it's embedded in my content and I'd have to delete the video if I stop becoming an affiliate... Anyways, I don't have a single product I would promote anyways other than my own stuff. Thanks for the idea, but those are the problems with that option.

    This might sound like a bit of a long shot but have you ever thought about learning other horse breeds from around the world like for example the Australian Brumby, the Waler, the Frisian and so on and so forth?

      Hi Kathy. Yes, we have to do something around here or there's going to be a problem for sure! I appreciate the kind words and positivity, I've always been a survivor and searcher of better ways and things to do to get goals attainable and things done. This is just another step in that direction :) Thanks for being here!

    Hey Graeme, glad you’re doing well! I can’t imagine how busy your are with the up keep of your place, and with all the horses. I know you weren’t continuing with boarding. As you had mentioned prior, about possibly selling Annie. I know you have your keepers, it’s hard but maybe you can downsize a bit, which would open up more room, possibly open a couple of self board spots only to people you completely trust. They provide all their own feeds, do their cleaning etc. less work on you which could help with hay costs etc. Just thoughts running around in my head 😊 Have a great evening!

      To downsize I'd have to let go of one or more of my horses, I don't really know how to do that... I have never allowed self boarders, they are the worst as they will never care for a place as much as a person does of their own space. Sooner or later they stop caring completely and it just doesn't work unfortunately. I'm just going to keep working on doing what I can under my own power and knowledge attained. So far so good :) Thank you for your thoughts though!

      @@StableHorseTrainingI totally get it! I was always a self boarder, as I was very picky with my horses and I needed to see him everyday for a my piece of mind. Unfortunately the horse world has those people that have ruined it for others. Not to toot my own horn 🎉haha, but I always treated the properties like it was my own and I always had great references. I wished I lived your side of the Fraser cause I would have loved to help out with the chores or whatever 😊

      @@rockysmumakagma I'm cynical maybe as I know there are many great self boarders, but it's just not worth it to me for such little money in the end. It's also unusual to come across people that want to see their horse all the time, many just pop out a few times a month kind of thing...
