About the microwave thing, the metal grate is designed specifically to block microwaves, so they don’t block all types of radiation. Also, the microwaves would just kinda heat your skin for the most part if some did leak, not actually causing much cellular damage. If you did want to see someone get microwaved; there are videos of an ADS system which uses microwaves to disperse crowds. Different wavelength, but still a microwave.
I used to work in tech support and we used to tell people to put certain phones/devices in their microwave so the device would lose the signal and reconnect when they took it out because some devices wouldn't reconnect properly if you just rebooted them. After one memorable incident, we started telling people to unplug their microwave first.

They didn't "lose it". That would be when it's supposed to be on a base and someone realizes it isn't actually there and no one is sure where it is. In this case it crashed and they haven't been able to locate the site yet. This happens all the time with planes. Unless it crashes right near an area full of people who call it in, they can't find it until someone reports that they saw it crash, or finds the wreckage, or the search aircraft spot the site. If the plane was still flying me or less that can be in a thousand square miles, often deep in the forest or the mountains, and the crash site isn't always very obvious. An entire passenger jet vanished a while back and they never did find it. They are still locating old crash sites all the time.
Fun fact US government lost a t28 tank and then found it in a field like 60 years later and for the people who don't know what a t-28 is it's a super heavy tank it's massive

I'm just imagining the pilot chatting with his wingman about what they're going to have to lunch, then hearing the Wilhelm scream and seeing him get yeeted with zero warning. 🤣🤣
Okay so I'm a dumbass when it comes to things. Does the F-35 have a place for a wingman? And if it did, was there a wingman? And if so, where's the wingman since we know where the pilot is. (No I haven't read any news articles and I am lazy so I am relying on random youtube people to just give me either facts or keks)
@@SleeprunnerInc Wingman refers to a fellow pilot flying a different plane in a formation, usually just to the left or right of you . They aren't in the same plane as you.
The hardest part is making sure the "eject pilot at random" option is turned off. It's buried two levels deep in the settings, in the "night mode menu colors" page.
Yes, assuming it glided in to a perfect landing in the woods while somehow completely missing every single tree and suffering no damage. And that you can just start it up like a car. And that it can take off from its belly without any issues and without sucking 100lbsn of leaves and twigsb and pine cones and needles into the engine. Which is very unlikely since the lift fan is exhausting directly onto the ground, even assuming it's able to open the central duct. If it's not a B variant you will need a way to jack a 50,000lb aircraft up six feet to lower the gear, and then use the same mile long perfectly flat and smooth and wide path that it happened to land on to avoid hitting any trees. Oh and you will probably need to find some way to get 8,000lbs of jet fuel and truck it into the woods and pump it into the tanks first, since I doubt get much they left it with full tanks. Especially if it actually survived a crash landing.
When you read "I'm all for the second amendment but" I was looking away feeding my baby and looked over so shocked so quickly. I was afraid you were being serious😬 😂🤣
Brandon, the microwave is perfectly safe to be around! The grid that is on the window is more than sufficient to stop all microwave radiation due to their long wavelengths, and as phones use a much much shorter wavelength to transmit data, it's usually not intercepted by that grid.
@@ZakerathWavelength and Frequency are different things. Wavelength is the distance between the top & bottom of the wave. Frequency is waves per second. To make it maybe a bit simpler, wavelength is size and frequency is how often. So even if the frequency is the same it’s waves are too big to fit through the holes in the shielding compared to the phones waves.
@TheyCallMeKix I figured it didn't matter when frequency and wavelength in light are so tightly correlated, as to convert the units from it's recognizable forms. The wavelengths should be the same if the frequency is the same. The exception is a relative change in the speed of light, such as light passing through a medium, but those are a bit insignificantly minor changes for this, and would effect both equally when a phone and microwave are in the same location. my comment is to say, that the phone can operate on a shorter wavelength than the microwave was designed to block
@@Zakerathyeah I don’t know what I was talking about with that explanation I typed, guess a 5 second google search after being up all night didn’t give me the best response. Looking for more than 5 seconds I’m now more confused, I was under the impression that the 2.4 & 5 GHz ranges were radio frequencies, but they are intact microwaves. There’s probably some other reason that a phone might work in the microwave (probably the cell tower signal being a radio wave or bad shielding from the microwave oven) but I’m not smart enough to figure that out. So you’re right, and I have a new found distrust of my microwave.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that was bothered by his comment. Another point would be light is also radiation and I can clearly see inside a microwave, but that doesn't mean microwaves can escape. Microwaves are also non-ionizing so they are harmless to us so long as the exposure amount isn't enough to actually burn you.
I always got a laugh out of that quote... notice he said the blood of patriots, but never mentioned the blood of TYRANTS. I feel like that one's the more important of the two.

About the microwave thing. Microwaves aren't the same type of radiation as you think. For context, even light from an LED or radiowaves are a form of electromagnetic radiation. Microwaves have a large waveform that's big enough to interact with molecules in a way to "excite" them to produce heat. Rest assured, if they were leaking through, you would feel the heal greatly. There are even experiments to where you can see the shape of microwaves at the human eye. And Funfact: ants in a microwave can survive because they're smaller than the microwaves. (Referring to the radiation wavelength, not the appliance as a whole.) Your body is also being beamed with radio waves 24/7 as they have the largest wavelength, why we use them for long distance communication.
Oh and, you want to be concerned at smaller wavelengths, the smaller the electromagnetic radiation's wavelength is, then the more energy it has (which sounds backwards), as smaller wavelengths have a higher frequency.

The jet thing is funny, but my old man grew up seeing this as a routine. He was born in 1931, San Antonio, near many military bases. He used to tell stories that it wasn't so unusual to see a parachute in the sky or a pilot walking along the road looking for a ride. He had a good long life. Saw flight go from fabic covered fighters to humanity landing on the Moon.
The difference is that the F-35 set a trillion dollars on fire. It's probably the most expensive military project in history, including naval projects, even adjusted for inflation. A single F-35 has, to date, cost $1 billion. A _Nimitz_ class nuclear aircraft carrier cost $10 billion in 2021 dollars.
@Bacteriophagebs It's very much a pork barrel multi-billion dollar boondoggle that will probably be terrifyingly effective for the first few months or years of a major conflict before counters arise. Everyone and their mother is off planning for the next big war, figuring it's gonna be one of stealth, precision, and low intensity over a great period of time. It's gonna blow up in our faces big time.
I still don't understand why people would complain about the high price tag on the F 35, then proceeded to complain that the jet wasn't tracked. The jet has an extremely high price tag because it's specifically designed to be incredibly difficult to track.
Not claiming to be a military expert, but the f35 isn't literally invisible. They fly in formation, communicate, etc., and can still see each other on their "minimap" or whatever the technical military equivalent of that is. As a counterpoint, if you can spend billions on stealth, you should also be able to spend a bit on detecting your own stealth aircraft and working on communication methods (transmit position) that don't breach the stealth factor. This is compounded by the fact that it was operating well into American soil. So I don't think it's unreasonable to see it as an amateur mistake for the self titled and largely agreed upon best military ever.
Low observable when passive. Transponders can provide safe nav info, including location, to the net when active. If they're running complete stealth mode, say for training, exercise of good judgment is to do so on a range.
My brother in Christ, it is ALWAYS a good time to take a stand against tyranny and I for one get a real kick out of hearing updates on your political endeavors!
9:40 As a former RSO, you should do what I did with a guy who brought an SBR to a range where multiple police departments conduct regular training. If you did want to see someone get microwaved; there are videos of an ADS system which uses microwaves to disperse crowds. Different wavelength, but still a microwave.
Phone signals are in the microwave area of the EM spectrum, so they shouldn't pass anyways.
so, basically, a radiation burn..
I used to work in tech support and we used to tell people to put certain phones/devices in their microwave so the device would lose the signal and reconnect when they took it out because some devices wouldn't reconnect properly if you just rebooted them.
After one memorable incident, we started telling people to unplug their microwave first.

😂 them losing the F35 and asking for help to find was straight comedy

I flew a Cessna once. I could easily fly an F-35 I found in the woods. Probably.
The hardest part is making sure the "eject pilot at random" option is turned off. It's buried two levels deep in the settings, in the "night mode menu colors" page.
I have faith. You could totally fly that b*"ch.
especially if you slept in a dyas inn last night.
The trick would be taking it off from the woods, when that is a sub optimal runway at best. If you were lucky it would be the B variant though.
Wishing you the best with your campaign Brandon! Not a Texan so can't vote for ya but sure as hell would!

No, because the plane auto-ejected the pilot. Try again, junior.
You just talk to it , right? “Hey F-35 “ “ take off” “hey F-35” “eject”
Brandon, the microwave is perfectly safe to be around!
The grid that is on the window is more than sufficient to stop all microwave radiation due to their long wavelengths, and as phones use a much much shorter wavelength to transmit data, it's usually not intercepted by that grid.
don't they both use 2.4ghz frequencies?
but true, 5ghz is becoming more popular
That stealth technology is really kicking in

About the microwave thing.
Microwaves aren't the same type of radiation as you think.
For context, even light from an LED or radiowaves are a form of electromagnetic radiation.
Microwaves have a large waveform that's big enough to interact with molecules in a way to "excite" them to produce heat. Rest assured, if they were leaking through, you would feel the heal greatly.
There are even experiments to where you can see the shape of microwaves at the human eye.
And Funfact: ants in a microwave can survive because they're smaller than the microwaves. (Referring to the radiation wavelength, not the appliance as a whole.)
Your body is also being beamed with radio waves 24/7 as they have the largest wavelength, why we use them for long distance communication.
Oh and, you want to be concerned at smaller wavelengths, the smaller the electromagnetic radiation's wavelength is, then the more energy it has (which sounds backwards), as smaller wavelengths have a higher frequency.
Only in America can you get gold emergency phone call log leaks like this one, the full version of that call is so much more hilarious

The military has always been good at losing shit. They managed to lose a big ass 90 ton tank for like 30 years.
