  • If you've been browsing my site: TennisElbowClassroom.com or watching the videos here on my UA-cam channel, you may be wondering “Who's this 'Tennis Elbow Tutor' guy?... What does he know about treating Tennis Elbow?... And why should you listen to me?”
(You might also be wondering, “What's this bee-sting thing you keep mentioning?”)
My name is Allen Willette, and in this video I finally share the incredibly frustrating experience of my 'Wrist Extensor Tenosynovitis' injury 25 years ago, all my struggles and crazy attempts to recover from it…
Including my desperate foray into Bee Sting / Bee Venom Therapy land - And how all of this led me to eventually specialize in treating tendon injuries myself, and why I became so passionate about Tennis Elbow.
(Which is why I often go by the screen name 'Tennis Elbow Tutor,' since that's obviously what I'm all about - As in teaching people what to do and what not to do when it comes to Golfer's Elbow and Tennis Elbow treatment and exercise.)

Hey allen. I got my injury from taking the barbell and not removing the weight (foolishly out of laziness) and grabbing the barbell (palm out) lifting it out of the rack to drop it to the box bar below. It was too heavy and when I dropped it I hurt both elbows on the tennis side.I seem to be healing after 5 days my left feels a bit better my right though is still a bit sore. I was still doing my bench with little discomfort and squats, but deadlifts were not doable. I have decided to lay off the weights for a few days.Is that a good idea or is that gonna hinder my healing? Is my tendon strain different then tendonitis since it was a quick fast pull? The left healed pretty fast my right is taking its time. Love you videos.

Hey, thanks for the compliment, Conkuur! Yes, it's quite possible that you sustained an acute muscle/tendon injury, (tear) considering the sudden forces involved. I would definitely lay off for a few days, at least. Be careful.

Hi there, I was wondering if your program would work on healing a low grade tear in the common flexor tendon?

Yes, it's possible my Golfer's Elbow program could help you heal a smaller tear in your common flexor tendon. (You didn't have a bunch of Cortisone shots for it did you?)

Not even one, I have been very apprehensive to cortisone. It's been about a year stuck in the trap and the injury went on for months before getting help so the scar tissue pinched the ulnar nerve. That has passed but I continue to reinjure the tendon every time any progress has been made. My next consideration is PRP injections.

Not sure if the tear has worsened since the MRI results in April...

Really glad to hear you didn't have any Cortisone. Here are my thoughts on PRP in this post and video: tenniselbowclassroom.com/tennis-elbow-treatments/platelet-rich-plasma-for-treating-tennis-elbow-does-it-work/ And if you're interested in checking out my program, you can go from there. (A year may seem like forever to you when you have Golfer's Elbow - which you do, if you have a tear in your common flexor tendon - but I can reassure you that it's not that long from what I've seen, and there's no reason you can't heal a smaller tear if you work hard on it.
