Hi Taylor. This whole project may be frustrating for you and Brent but it’s also a great display of the teamwork and camaraderie you two have . This is a good example of what small farmers have to overcome to stay in business.. It’s also amazing that you can stay so focused and positive during this project. It’s been another informative and interesting video to watch . I know we won’t be as excited as you and Brent will be when everything is installed. Keep farming, keep smiling, and may God keep you safe.😅. 🐄🚜
Wow 😮 girl you are a farm beast. Girls like you are hard to find. Keep on farming and doing your thing. Very impressed with your work ethic and determination to get the job done.
Thanks for another great video, that is so awesome you are getting the barn cleaner fixed, and at a fraction of the cost of buying new!!!! A wise farmer once told me the easiest money to make is not spending money foolishly, and you and Brent are shining examples of that!!!!!!
Hi Taylor awesome video again thanks, excellent production line with the flights that plasma cutter made light work of the flights. That was some work out getting that head gear ⚙️ in.Hope you have a fantastic weekend take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Hey Taylor, I worry about you having to lift so many things like you have to. I farmed all my life am 73 and my back is shot, just be safe when lifting. I don't know any young women that work as hard as you do!!!!!! Be safe. Stan Ia.
Happy two years in the UA-cam world! You and your channel have grown so much since that first appearance spreading that high dollar fertilizer! Awesome job!🤙
Fill a used 5 gallon soap bucket with used motor oil, and put a valve on it. Every couple weeks, lay it on the edge of the gutter and open the valve while the cleaner runs to oil the chain. I had to stand on the side of the spreader and pull the manure off the paddles at the heifer barn. There was two places with 2 links instead of 3 between paddles, I had to hold them up to keep it from throwing the chain.
years ago i worked for a guy he had 62 stalls in the barn. every morning after milking he would drive the manure spreader in and we would pitch it in. my mom and dad had 20 stalls we would shoevel and wheelbarrow out every day
We had a 12 station flat parlor and the gutters got wheelbarrowednout every or everyother day. But they were 3-4 inches deep, so a lot less than the deep gutters the barn cleaners have.
Went through the same ordeal back when I was in high-school so I feel your pain. There isn't a much more irritating job than cleaning gutters when the cleaner breaks. I am glad you found one in such good shape!
Taylor you are a tough young lady you and Brent work so well together great teamwork once the barn cleaner is finished there will be more time to get ready for field work really enjoy your videos
Good evening it’s Thursday Taylor and Brent just finished watching video Tay you’re such beautiful young gal that hardest worker I see plus explain everything as you and Brent work Brent is big teddy bear 🧸 best boss ever and as always you both be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love watching you and Brent, people don’t know how hard that work is ,but as the saying is if you love your job then it’s not hard, also I had the same facial expression and awe when y’all saw that windmill farm,I saw them on internet but I was shocked when I saw them in person, what a waste of money and land, keep bringing them shows
There are some things I miss about milking cows. The calf bawling while waiting for milk is still appealing to me! it was a simpler time and was a LOT of work but when we were all the same and could make a living off of it, it was desirable. Thanks for the videos!
Back breaking work working as a fork lift! You sure got some grit! Must be tough trying to coordinate all the parts of replacing the cleaner. Looking good so far. Thanks for sharing!
You guys are amazing to watch! Your ears must have been ringing after those hours at the welder…mine were just watching on TV. That board scraper was genius!
I wondered about the struggle with the new head, vs. your statement the old head came out easy. Maybe it was because the old head had worn off so much metal that it became lighter. 😁 Your videos get better and better, Taylor. And there is so much love for you from your viewers. I hope it comes through to you from their comments.
Yea I can see this barn cleaner deal is pretty frustrating. But you'll be so happy when all this is over; and you have the system back up and running and with no breakdowns. All of this hassle will be over soon. Take care😃
Taylor I think I saw you and Brent earlier today I was out walking getting my mile in and on the way back home I had just crossed back onto the langhill road and I saw a big farm dump Truck with a yellow cab on it it looked like Brent's. If it was you and Brent it was great to see you both not only that but it was great to see a fellow youtuber out there!! That's if it was you and him. Farming is my side hobby.
All I can say is this. Great job. We used to have to shovel our manure out of the gutter, place it wheelbarrows and push the barrow up a ramp to the spreader. Of course, in the winter we just dumped it outside. Then in the spring after the thaw we shoveled it into the spreader. A lot of back-breaking work. I personally was glad when my uncle installed a gutter cleaner in the barn. We just had a chute to where the manure went up and dumped into the spreader. Have a good day and God Bless
Sure looks like it's gonna work out well to me making good progress there but it's never as fast as you want it to go we think fast but we work slow have a great weekend
Back in the old days, 60s, before we had a Patz gutter cleaner, we used to back the spreader and tractor down the middle and shovel it directly into the spreader. But, the gutters weren't that deep, we only milked 30 cows, and the spreader and tractor were smaller. I feel sorry for all your trouble there. Hang in there!
Great job showing us all the trials you're both going through to overcome this significant breakdown, another few days and you'll be looking back on a job well done and laughing about it..keep it real. 😘
Hi Taylor, you guys have a pretty big project going on hopefully when it’s up and running and the bugs worked out you will have years of dependability, back in the day we had to shovel the gutters out every day before we went to free stalls
Great idea on the boards to help with cleaning. Thanks for sharing, Taylor. Btw @26:16 ,the head room reminded me of an old church bell/clock steeple 🙏😊
Awesome video thanks for letting us see your progress on the cleaning system. I would ve interested in buying a few of the calves if you sell any. Thanks for sharing...,....roy
Hi!! Thanks so much! Sorry if you’ve messaged me on messenger, for some reason that doesn’t work on my phone anymore 🤷🏼♀️ Hope you’re doing well and finally getting some nice spring weather 😀
@@tayfarmsyou’re welcome always, yeah i sent more calf pics lol just rainy here. Glad its going well. Well, hopefully you’ll be able to read them sometime lol 🤗💕
Never had a barn cleaner. Stalls were raised, and for a long time we just scraped the barn with a loader. If the loader tractor was down, we'd use a back blade. Later we got a skid steer and scraped with that. Did, however, have one of those chains. It was in the concrete feed bunker, and moved the silage around when we were feeding out of the silo.
If it was me, I'd fabricate a device that would affix to the bucket on the skid steer. It would have guides to force the manure to go toward the center away from the stalls. Basically something similar to the boards you showed except it would have guides.
When I was a kid. My dad use to tell stories of hooking the to cyclinder John Deere G up to the spreader. Driving down the middle of the barn. Scooping the gutters out once a day, winter twice a day. That was the 1950s and 1960s... 😊😅❤
Hope you had some good eggs and bacon or sausage for proteins to help those muscles, you probably felt a few muscles you didn't even know you had. Remember a heating pad will help pain and stiffness and ice packs reduce swelling. Plasma cuts metal pretty fast, if you have one it is great. I hope you all stay safe and healthy.
Wow! Taylor this was a tough one. You rather have titled the video "The most powerful AND beautiful farmgirl in action". I hope by this time the system is working well and your weather situation has improved. 😄💪👍

You and Brent will sleep tonight.
Wow 😮 girl you are a farm beast. Girls like you are hard to find. Keep on farming and doing your thing. Very impressed with your work ethic and determination to get the job done.

Ever thought of using a shovel twice a day & a barrow or skig steer bucket.????? Until you get the cleaner replaced. That's what we did !!
It actually already fixed, we were more concerned with getting everything sorted out for a quick swap
Went through the same ordeal back when I was in high-school so I feel your pain. There isn't a much more irritating job than cleaning gutters when the cleaner breaks. I am glad you found one in such good shape!
Tay you are so darn impressive!! You and Brent are a great team. Get some rest you deserve it! Larry
Love watching your videos Taylor And Brent ❤❤❤❤God bless the two of you

Back breaking work working as a fork lift! You sure got some grit! Must be tough trying to coordinate all the parts of replacing the cleaner. Looking good so far. Thanks for sharing!

Of course you're proud of your cows, a sign of a good farmer

A single blade plough makes super quick work of lifting muck out of gutters like that.
Great idea on the boards to help with cleaning. Thanks for sharing, Taylor.
Btw @26:16 ,the head room reminded me of an old church bell/clock steeple 🙏😊
Taylor you are one strong and dedicated lady.
Can be too strong then expected to lift to much 😟
Great how you both handle all the mess with great mood and a nice smile on your face, so cool! Keep goin', good luck ;-)
Being a old dairy farmer we completely understand ! Good days bad days.
Cool that was a good job with the board , Cool
Awesome video thanks for letting us see your progress on the cleaning system. I would ve interested in buying a few of the calves if you sell any. Thanks for sharing...,....roy
That was impressive putting the head back on . I had a patz 40 ' swinging boom stacker and have had to do the same thing.
Great video young lady! I can't wait until you get the new cleaner in 👍👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄 Prayers for you and your family always 🙏🙏
This video is amazing. In fact all of them are!
You two done very well to get as far as you have and that looked very heavy. We'll have to start calling you supergirl 😂
Great video Tay. You’re definitely one tough strong little woman the new barn cleaner. Hopefully it goes in well. Looks good so far.🤗
Hi!! Thanks so much! Sorry if you’ve messaged me on messenger, for some reason that doesn’t work on my phone anymore 🤷🏼♀️ Hope you’re doing well and finally getting some nice spring weather 😀

Wow ive done hard &sloppy work thru the years i understand how hard you guys gotit i feel for ya.😊
As kid used to drive manure spreader in barn and clean with shovel out before barn cleaners so they are a blessing when they work

I've just watched 2 videos in a row very enjoyable just before my bedtime so its goodnight from me im from Scotland
If it was me, I'd fabricate a device that would affix to the bucket on the skid steer. It would have guides to force the manure to go toward the center away from the stalls. Basically something similar to the boards you showed except it would have guides.
🆒 Video Taylor !!!!!!!
Genius...Idea.. !!!!!
I hope all goes well for you two. 👍
Looking good be safe

Wow! Taylor this was a tough one. You rather have titled the video "The most powerful AND beautiful farmgirl in action". I hope by this time the system is working well
and your weather situation has improved. 😄💪👍
Nice to see it all coming together. I am guessing Sunday's video will be you finishing up the chain and getting it running. :)
A great work ethic by all and not afraid to get dirty, KUDOS!.
Didn't look like fun putting the drive mechanism back in. that is quite a hole to work in though I do like the arched shape of the building extension.
Nice one Taylor
You 2 sure work good together❤️
Grew up on a small dairy farm in western maine always said if cows would give as much milk as crap you would double your income
Hi Taylor hope you're well. I just love watching your videos
From nick in Wiltshire England 🏴

That narrower will put a lot less load on everything than it was designed for.
Strong lady...
Good job but you better drive down the key into the slot on the first pully from the motor.
That new head you put in looks like it's been rebuilt already how blue the parts are
Nothing like good hard work good job guys 👍👍👍👍👍

What a FARM GIRL not afraid to get dirty and get the job done.
