- In this video i do some fabrication to make some add ons to allow a mole plough to be used to lay water pipe. A relatively simply job but still took some thinking about.
Hope you found it interesting.
Thanks for watching.
If you'd like to support the channel you can purchase a Snowball engineering hoodie at snowballengineering.co.uk/ I will be adding various different items to the shop as time goes on.
Thanks. - Наука та технологія
You talk as long as you want, mate! Your channel is like free education for people like me and I love watching it.
I agree! I like when Oliver explains things!
Totally agree
I look forward to your videos. I am 81 yrs. old and did the same type work as you for over 60 yrs. I learn from you every time I watch. Greetings from West Texas USA.
You have turned that into a much more useful machine! That plasma table certainly earns its living, jobs like this would be much more difficult and take much more time without it!

What a super way to start a Sunday - with another great video from Snowball Engineering. Your design, problem-solving and fabrication skills are first class, together with being educational and instructive to watch, particularly with regard to CAD. I'm mindful of the amount of time you'll have spent editing this video; the quality of your videography, is at the very least, equal to Cutting Edge Engineering, where Kurtis' wife does all the filming and editing. I find your videos compulsive viewing - I never want them to end. Your latest post has been most interesting and an absolute delight to watch, Thank you for posting such superb content.
Enjoyed the build, and like that adage "Dirty hands = Clean Money". 🌿
A lie in, coffee and Snowball Engineering. Whats not to like?
And another cracking job there Ollie.
and switch it on the tv so i can sit relaxed and enjoy my coffee there:p
@@bazingabert3346, get the wife out of the way watch crap American tv and I’m right with you👍
Hey mate love your work. A little tip I've picked up for edges with hoses or pipes running over them is to weld a bit of round bar along the edge, quick and easy 👌
You can talk as long as you like Ollie. Really enjoy your work. It’s great to see your business grow.
Good job, all we need now is a video of it operating.
Dont Forget to lock the door! LOL
I'm glad I found and subcribed to Snowball Engineering. One of the best channels on UA-cam. Keep up the great work Ollie 👍
Thanks!your love of painting is world renowned, 😊
Thank you! I love painting 😐
Great video, nicely presented. I’ve got no problem with you talking a lot, it gives interesting narrative
You are becoming the person over there where people come to you and "can you make me something that will do ......" I have this over here (Australia) but I don't have the plasma gear and the ability to drive the software to draw up the items. The stuff I make is much smaller and simpler. Keep up your good work.
Excellent job, engineer and designer!
One bonus video footage would be to see it in action
A nice smaller version of what Dirt Perfect and Man Behind the Scenes built for laying drainage pipe behind a bulldozer on its ripper. Good job!
Another interesting build. Your plasma table has become a great asset in your tool box. Thanks for bring us along every Sunday morning.
Nice Job!
Your local farmers don’t know how lucky they are to have a can do guy like you around.
Maybe the customer could film it in action. Just 1 minute 🤠
We enjoy both work and talk, no problem. Nice job done as usual! 😊
Oliver, another great Snowball Engineering job. The Hoodie looks good too. I'm not sure why viewers claim you talk too much, you don't. Cheers.
Signs of Spring in the background.
Good job, you were right to add on the extra webbing to support the arm. Shock loading can be devastating and can easily deform, or even break the welds. Thoroughly enjoyed the post, many thanks. Stay safe and well 👍
I’m one or the guys in the US rocking my new Snowball Engineering hoodie! Super nice and got it extremely fast! Thanks Oliver! 🎉
Some clever solutions to the problems and we love listening to you talking Ollie. I don’t know how you find the time to do all that you do, maybe you don’t sleep much.
Another Sunday, another snowball!!
It's fascinating to see your problem solving and design process. You came up with great solutions. The program that shows the stress is really interesting. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Now that’s a roll of water pipe it’s huge. Love that plasma cutter saves so much fabricating
Good job, you should check out the tile plough (that's what they call the pipe in the states, a bit bigger though) build on Dirt Perfect it's a monster for doser.
It might be useful to also take a look at Dirt Perfect's design. ua-cam.com/video/VNMumFRUv3g/v-deo.htmlsi=gMMFC9hswap6Swa- Although it is for a shovel, it is about the functional idea. Greetings from the Netherlands.

THE Jackson Brothers use a D11 to lay polly pipe (vlog128) in Australia.
Yes you're right @raymondmusarra1328, Mike and his friend Aaron his welder make and design and make the tools for his machines. He does a load of tile work and was using his excavators to dig the trenches needed before laying the pipes which could be 6 or 8 inches in diameter, the trench had to be refilled. So he bought an old military John Deere dozer and made a tile plough to be mounted on to it. He only has to dig a small length of trench so he can get the depth he needs then he begins to plough down the field.
Lately they have been making a tree lopper to get the clearance for the combine harvesters. The tile plough has saved him a lot of time because he doesn't have to go up and down the fields back filling after laying the tile.
DIRT PERFECT is his channel.
Tile plow is for laying tile pipe thats for water drainage, this is for water supply, tile plows can lay water pipe but they're not great for it
Great video my friend! Compared to your other fans I am a local, but it's great to see from the comments how far you fan base goes. World wide is no small feat for a humble Yorkshire lad! Talk as much as you fell comfortable with my friend. Thanks and greetings from Selby north Yorkshire.
Proper Engineering with a capital E. Taking all the forces in to consideration. Well done and thanks for sharing
Notification, coffee, bagel and a great start to my Sunday morning. Fantastic work Sir! As always, a big howdy from across the pond.
Another brilliant fabrication, Olly and great sunday video
Thanks for another great video mate. Your ingenuity and vision is nothing short of astounding. I'm just a home hobby metalworker in learning, so your videos are invaluable for tips on how to approach and do things. Watching you cut the holes in the box section for the axle to fit, hammered home just how much I really need to get my arse in gear and build a CNC plasma table. I've been playing with 3D Printers for a few years now so have a decent understanding of the robotic element, just need to get my head around the mechanics and build the chuffing thing 🙂
Another quality job from planning to finish. A job 'too strong' is better than a weak one is my way of thinking and working.
The plasma table makes these jobs so much easier and quicker. Thanks for sharing your work week. Brian from South Yorkshire.
That was bloody good as usual Oliver mate, so much to enjoy. All the CAD all the CNC cutting, you designing and sorting out problems as they arise.. and even a bit of bodge mate when you fixed the hose. That was good, now looking forward to the next one...
Another interesting watch. It was well worth seeing the job evolve over time. Would be good to see it working in the field. Good luck with the merch.
Don't worry. I could listen to you all day!.
Quite a bit smaller than the arrangement that Dirt Perfect and MBTS made for laying 8" Drainage 'tile' in the USA, but then they didn't try and design a reel for it, they tow a trailer-mounted one behind a baby tractor! Well done Ollie, another imaginative solution well thought through.
Thanks! Your work is much appreciated.
Thanks!
You did a great job, it took a lot of work. You've turned it into a much more useful machine!
That new CNC plasma cutter does a nice job of cutting out different shapes. Way better and far more accurate than using an oxy torch to cut things out by hand.
Nice job on the pipe reel. It should work well. I bet that worked out a lot cheaper than a bought one.
You are a talented young man…and you don’t talk to much 👍
Excellent work! I love seeing these jobs come together. And the plasma table is a life saver!
The plasma table coming in clutch again 😊
I use it for nearly every job
Great to see you think and then create a one off piece of equipment. Great Channel.
Nice job! Looks to me like it will be quite effective and user friendly when at work in the field . :)
I love your channel! Your ingenuity is absolutely amazing. You look much better with your new brown jacket. Shows that you have pride in your appearance. Keep up the great work.
Fantastic work, innovation and good design.
I love these make something from nothing videos. Great vision and problem solving skills as always. 👊
This was a brilliant and stylized fabrication. It was great to see you create this interesting machine. You have left the possibility of changing pipe size open to the simple task of making a new shoe for the larger pipe as required.
A little tip I saw on another channel some day: when you're grinding those small parts with an angle grinder, or even bigger parts, put a piece of old carpet on your table. The parts you're grinding won't slip on the carpet
I enjoy all your videos but especially when you're making machines. I really enjoyed the potato conveyor ones. Good work mush stay safe
Cracking work as always Oliver
Another great Sunday morning video Olly❤
Very clever design and fabrication. I enjoy the mix of CAD, cutting table, analysis, and of course your descriptions - keep 'em coming!
Another great project I hope it worked well I sure it would do ,It will be interested in what you make for your shop .
I made a mini version about 30 years ago to plough in PA speaker cables for events that fitted on the back of my Land Rover. The cable was spooled onto Mig wire drums. Lovely Job Oliver.
Thank you for sharing, another sunday morning who start with you and your project, always a pleasure watch your video, have a nice week end 👍👍👍👍
Great job Ollie, Sundays are great with new videos of your hard work! Just ordered my hoodie and hope you will have the metal signs back in stock soon
I’ll get some more cut out this week. Will have some other designs too.
Looks like it's still pretty cold over there in the UK. Here in Queensland Australia, we're getting rainy weather again, but we did get a week without rain so I could finally cut the grass that was a foot high. Winter is slowly creeping on here, so you should get some warmer weather there soon.
We have been back down into the single digits last week. Plenty of rain still as well
Cool more awesome fabrication.
Keep up the great work Oliver.
From kiwi land
Looking good Oliver, great fab job.
Great video, new sub. Your channel was offered up after watching Cutting Edge Australia so the youtube algorithm sees you in heady company. One small suggestion, recycled conveyor belt makes good anti-chaff guides.
Another fine job done enjoy watching your videos keep em coming you stay safe from the mountains of south eastern Kentucky
Well done !
Sharp hoodie!
Another great job, well done nice to watch.
Another job well done!
Ingenious job well done .
