My ex also did this in Southern California for several years. You can choose to ban yourself for a year at a time when you can to see bang yourself for a lifetime. They will take pictures of you and have them posted with security in the back and if they see you on the property or a security guard at the door catches you trying to come in they will kick you out and possibly call the local sheriff's to have you arrested if it happens too many times. But unfortunately those watchful eyes of security just stop caring and you're able to gamble away. Of course you are not allowed to use a player's card because that would definitely give you away. So in my opinion, unless you are a strong enough person to stay away on your own, don't expect the band to be enforced for very long. To a casino money is money after all. Eventually, my ex was able to go in and request a reversal of the lifetime ban he chose to do at his favorite casino. That way he can use his players card if you chooses and also he can bet Max and not worry about actually hitting a jackpot. Otherwise when he would win a signer he would have to pay someone else like a person sitting next to him to claim it, as he would never be able to claim it. He is still lifetime self banned at the other casinos that he did not request to be unbanned from. But he gambles in all of them just the same. Once you band yourself they'll watch for you in the beginning for a few months but stay away for a few months and start coming back and they don't usually notice and/or care. I'm very glad that it worked for your dad. I would say that is a testament to his motivation to want the change. Good for him.
I remember the Mirage in 1992 when I was fasinated by the Volcano which does not exist . I heard they will be closing to start work on the Hard Rock Casino .

It looks like a cess pool actually. People sitting around because they've lost their money and they're looking for someone to scrounge from. So many gaming tables closed and machines turned off, just hellish.
Don't they realize that the casino does not have to pay out anything? The mirage is not legally entitled to give any of that money back. But it's a great advertisement for the mirage to get some last ditch gamblers desperately trying to hit that $1.6 million.
Better read up what Nevada law says about unclaimed progressives when a casino closes bud. They are giving out $200000-250000 each day starting today. But thanks for your opinion
Not surprised, I’d be sitting and waiting too with a $200k a day guaranteed win that increases today to $250k and the $1.2 million in slots and $400k table games from the $1.6 million they have to pay out before they close.

I was there for 4 hours not once I heard anyone win, Vegas is now a complete paper tiger don't go don't make those Asians any richer.
Oh, the ol' My'Rage. Some fun memories there.
wait...what? I thought the economy was bad. Huh...
must be a liquidation sale going on
Last time I was there I saw
Dr. Drew coming out of the men's bathroom when the Beatles Love Show let out. LOL . good times.
Happy Trails, Mirage! Fare Thee Well 😢
Mirage was special to me during my childhood
They all look absolutely miserable
That's probably why they be there
I remember the Mirage in 1992 when I was fasinated by the Volcano which does not exist . I heard they will be closing to start work on the Hard Rock Casino .
Everyone dresses like a slob.
They dress the way want to. Who are to judge how a person dresses? Stupid
😂😂😂😂
Vegas today is a trash magnet.
@@YaoEspirito...Well , Hispanics in
pull over T Shirts. = low class
sloppy.
I went to Vegas in 2012, I never saw anything with a crowd except outside. Maybe swimming pools, and eateries.
It’s not like there’s a going out of business sale
They have to give away $1.6 Million before they close - that’s why the crowd.
@@RichKent Does anyone doubt the casinos would play fair about this?
What's to say they wouldn't have one last cash grab from people. How is this being tracked?
@@rustycolon9368 Yeah for sure Mirage/Hard Rock is making $10s of Millions in the process of ‘giving away’ 1.6m.
Actually, they ARE holding a "going out of business" sale.
Gaming commission basically makes them eventually give out any progressive jackpot. So they all have to hit before they close
So funny how people buy into this marketing scheme tell him you're going to give away 1.6 million while you're making 50 million
Look at all those people that Paid for that casino for that guy who owns it
Literally made zero sense to say that
@@mattmodena8299😅 are you serious not even a little bit if you don't get the jist of it than you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed
@Steve-td5xu dude. You can't even put a sentence together properly. Are you trying to communicate your displeasure in capitalism where a guy takes a risk, builds a venue and people pay to enjoy it? What's your point?
@@mattmodena8299 I didn't realize I was in english class and by the way I'm quite certain that I am much smarter than you way way smarter
@Steve-td5xu that statement proves you otherwise. "I know you are but what am i?" Seriously? Your spouse must love your narcissistic arguments.
My first Vegas hotel experience in the 90s! Then Treasure Island opened
The Mirage is outdated since the Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat closed in late 2022
Outdated? I will admit, first time I went in 2010, it did feel like going back to the nineties. It was definitely nice back then. It still holds its own today.
I really wish I got to see it one last time. They better put those mermaid statues in a museum
I win 100% of the time at the casinos because I don't go.
Yawn
I bet you order water with no ice at the restaurant

@@Dizzymarvel exactly. I like to "yawn" and have a lot of money.

Thank you for this video. I was curious how bad it was going to get 😂
Don't understand why it's crowded
The Mirage is closing
The Mirage Hotel and Casino has a whopping $1.6 million in unclaimed winnings that await its loyalty members looking to try their luck one last time before the famed Las Vegas casino closes its doors permanently.
I was only able to hit the high limit room which is the only slots you can play there
Does not look fun. Pathetic
I used to do hard count at Harrah’s. That’s counting the money that comes into the machines. Take my word for it. Casinos aren’t built on credit. They are paid for in full !
But why so crowded? Saying boodby to the Mirage or because of the heat outside?
I believe all those progressive jackpots on certain machines must by paid out before casino shuts down for good
Both lol
Love your energy.
Playing 4 that progressive $$$
It looks like a cess pool actually. People sitting around because they've lost their money and they're looking for someone to scrounge from. So many gaming tables closed and machines turned off, just hellish.
Don't they realize that the casino does not have to pay out anything? The mirage is not legally entitled to give any of that money back. But it's a great advertisement for the mirage to get some last ditch gamblers desperately trying to hit that $1.6 million.
Better read up what Nevada law says about unclaimed progressives when a casino closes bud. They are giving out $200000-250000 each day starting today. But thanks for your opinion
They are required by law to pay their progressive jackpots, hence the cash giveaway
@@vegasonfilm6303 The casino will make $1.6 million over this supposed cash giveaway.
They have to pay out progressives by law before they close. Read up on Nevada laws.
Um, you don't know what you're talking about.
Not surprised, I’d be sitting and waiting too with a $200k a day guaranteed win that increases today to $250k and the $1.2 million in slots and $400k table games from the $1.6 million they have to pay out before they close.
I could never get away with taking pictures in a casino..
Wow that is crazy. I've never seen so many people at a Casino before.
I'm surprised no one kicked you out for recording video in the casino...
Great video from of the last days of The Mirage!
