I only just learned how to hit it straight, consistently. I can't wait to start adding this stuff to my arsenal. Morikawa is one of my favorite golfers.

Where on the clubface is ideal, center? or does it cut across it alil out to in as u hit down on it? to get more technical, I wonder if there is a threshold spin rate or swing speed that creates a nice 6ft or more worth of back spin.. the pros make it look so fun and magical with so much control.. though in most cases, my best sw spins on a launch monitor means I bottom out after the ball and it kicks fwd 1 yd upon landing..
It’s mostly about Spin-Loft (difference between Attack Angle and Dynamic loft) and Club Speed. That’s why he mentions hitting down to create more spin. So, the more spin-loft and club speed, the more spin you’ll have.
He did. Hit down on it with speed and trust the loft. I mean, he didn't mention that you need a premium ball and a clean new ish wedge or go into how much speed, radius, attack angle, low point, dynamic loft, etc. if that is what you were looking for?
Best I can do is get it to stop with no roll out with a good shot but never spin back. One time, I had one spin really hard right (off of the green..gee thanks).
@@kalemitchell1979 I often play on an old school back to front severely sloped green course where you are doomed if you are above the hole, so it would be nice to spin it back when I need to.
Trail arm could be getting too narrow/losing width. When the trail arm structure collapses it will shorten the radius from where you started at address, causing toe strikes

most of the science (like the video briefly mentioned when CM said 60* at high speed) has to do with the club face and surface area for friction. Exact opposite of the open area for grooves

Always enjoy watching these videos with Collin, he's a great golfer with fab technique but he's also quite a natural in front of the camera 👍
Wow great shots! Imagine if those were vokeys how hard they would rip back. Nice work all
these videos are the best, thank you Taylor Made
I want a chip video from more difficult lies since that’s where I’m at on the course typically 😂
this guy knows his stuff
Great shots Collin, you have such a great swing.
Good tips to bring to the course 🤙
Considering this was filmed like a year ago and he recently hit this shot in competition.
A marketing dream LOL
Would love to see all his wedge distance feels: hip to shoulder w his 60 is 50y etc
Does he open the face slightly for the 50 yard shot?
Probably
No reason to he’s using a 60 it’s plenty of loft.
@@IamWonderBread thought he was using the 56 for the back pin
@@vega21 yes but the original comment asked if he opens the face for the 50 yard shot which he doesn’t appear to
@@IamWonderBread oh I see. Yah if he has a 60 in hand it's pretty much already open 😂
can anyone tell me which grip hes using?
his compression is insane
Collin is such a dawg
is that tiger /scottie filming in the back left loll

excellent♪
the bots are out tonight
Yeah, LIV bots.
Nothing said about how to properly impart spin. Just adjustments for distance.

Why do you want it to spin back? That is so hard to judge. You want it to hit and stick

Is there a reason I keep hitting off the toe ? Too far away from ball or ?
You’re probably not striking it in the center of the face.

Notice how he punches the ball towards the green
Wonder what club he playing.
MG4 wedges judging my available information
He told us, 60 degree(lob) and then 56 degree (sand).
Try paying attention buddy! He told you the clubs and it’s a Taylor Made ad.

That’s funny 50 yards is my favorite distance and I feel like it’s hip to hip. But really it looks the same like rib to rib.
“yeah so i just hit the ball basically”
he got that shit on though
Gotta talk about how important a consistent strike is!

He forgot to mention the your have to get brand new wedges about every 3 to 4 months to keep brand new grooves on wedges.
