I didn't. Delena was toxic as fuck but the chemistry was so wild we forgot all the reasons why they were terrible for each other. Stelena was healthier in the beginning but by the time he threatened to drive her off the bridge it was obvious that they needed very different things to get to a place where they could work as a couple again. Truthfully I think she should have ended up with Kol if he didn't have Davina and she didn't help kill him. If you watched the Originals you know that Kol can be the perfect blend of all the things that made Stefen and Damon good for her. Though that might just be my shippers heart speaking for me. This is not the same as that situation with Stefan at all. Stefan did it to get back at Klaus send didn't care about how she felt. Damon did it to make sure she didn't die.
@@Sims4T actually he did care he stated that he cared The only reason why he pretended like he didn't is because running any emotion in would have brought back his humanity and humanity and Stephen was the worst thing he could possibly do after everything and he did involving class in Elena new this but and her eyes her problems in her past was more important than what Stephen was going through so yeah she was toxic to both brothers and I'm glad Stephen Dodge to bullet and guess what they make it have that he can have that piece of trash cuz well deserved on both ends they're going to toxic relationship and by all means I wish Damon would though attention as a human now and decide to punch somebody in the throat and couldn't kill him properly and then goes to jail for the rest of his life because he's a narcissist he's a psychopath and yeah he did get some TV time growth but only because a Bonnie and that is the only reason why I will ever respect him is because of Bonnie

Klaus was about to use Elena to break the hybrid curse. He was supposed to drink all of her blood which would have killed her. That's when damon thought that if he fed her his blood, even if Klaus killed her, she would come back as a vampire.
