God Da...Man I love watching that. The part at 2:20 is so smooth,LOVED IT. The kids were stunned.Made there night man, thanks. The dudes right man, 7x? you're a machine.I,m guessing you don't smoke.
very nice. Two things nice trick with the Tama poster. I thought it was an outside window. Also I like the foot pedal camera. Too bad my sucky work computer won't keep up with the video. I'll have to watch it at home. Another nice video and a great job on the kit.
very nice job again buddy - love the Footwork (& the sandals/socks combo!), you should show more footwork camera work if possible. look forward to the next video!
Too bad RUSH stopped playing this live... it all about live performances. its all about entertainment ... and it was great Live in concert... by the way, great job on the drums... you nailed it.
@roberttylershaver I use a boom arm attached to the ratchet part of a MC66 clamp. The ratchet fits well in the hole on the tom mount, normally used to hold a tom holder.
I like how play to the details of each song, way to go, as usual great work. Would you ever consider covering one of his early drum solos? Before the electronics.
I was seriously getting ready to roll my eyes BUT, you did a great job. Good tempo, no goofy faces while playing (always a plus in my book) excellent choice of drums. I met Neil when I worked at The Omni in Charlotte, early 90's, and I was surprised how tight he use to crank his drumheads. He said he always had issues with the lugs pulling away from the shells. The only thing he kept loosely tuned was his 22" gong bass. I loved that drum. So keep jammin.
@violazard This is hard to answer. A brand new song will take about 2 weeks to nail the details. This is mostly to figure out what they are and to memorize them. Songs I have heard before but not really played can be done in about one week.
Great high energy playing. Love it. I was hoping you would do the live variation with the toms combo in the latter half of the chorus. No matter. Enjoyed it.
I'll bet it IS quite the workout this song...and you didn't miss a beat! It is a great song, but then RUSH is a GREAT BAND too. Neill would be proud :)
Astrotama, A SERIOUS QUESTION for you...I've watched alot of Peart drum, and I would say he has a SPECIFIC ARRANGEMENT in which he sets his drums; like all good drummers. What is the framework that drummers use to set them and keep them still called? Like what others said here at this session, and probably all your sessions, I don't see you missing even a single beat. PRESTO is my second best RUSH cd, next to GRACE UNDER PRESSURE.
Thank you! I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question? Are you talking about why drummers set their drumsets with a certain configuration, or more about the hardware?
Awesome again Astro. I always enjoyed this song and thought it was a mighty good description of the pop world in the 80s as well. It's fun to play and a "workout" on guitar as well -- lots of fast chord switching. I know you're not a jukebox and all, but in case you would ever honor a request, it'd be nice if your wife could join you on bass and pull off La Villa Strangiato together. That'd be great to jam along with in the home studio! Keep rockin'.
@hyperpyretic Neil's playing is very methodical and always with a purpose. It helps in duplicating his playing - and sound - when your kit has a similar arrangement than his.
That's entertainment! Very nice - as usual! Sandals with socks...an under-appreciated combination.

Incredible job! Keep it up! I cant get enough of your videos.
Wow.. most excellent. Love that song and great job as usual.

qui a été génial! bien joué! adoré à 3:07-3:09 roll!
@danjcan I live in Tucson, AZ. No, I have never met Neil or heard from him. It's ok, he knows his songs well enough... ;) Thanks for watching!
GREAT job brother!!
Like a machine....
Nice Man U rock at this I like ur drums
great song
Wow. Great job!
You are amazing....
Holy 16th notes Batman! I got tired just watching you! Great work on that one! Lots of odd placed cymbals hits. That'd be a good warm up tune.
@sparkles67 Contrary to what many people think, I do not run my life around what Neil likes or not... ;)
Awesome cover! 👍
Thank you!
Damn nice job!!!
Great!!!
I am seriously impressed. With the exception of Neil himself, you are the best i've seen doing Rush.
Muito bom
Cardio central! 7 times in a row. Heck of a workout! Crazy timings. Good job!
Nice work AGAIN Astro! What a fun song I smile every time I hear it!
Too bad RUSH stopped playing this live... it all about live performances. its all about entertainment ... and it was great Live in concert... by the way, great job on the drums... you nailed it.
+ILSRWY4 i think the lyrics have some personal relation to neils passed daughter, so its pretty sensitive for him
Great Cover
So much talent, love it.

You got the V Drums and cymbals, now you just need a DW kit.
I notice that your kit is laid out almost exactly like Neil's. Is that more for aesthetics or is it actually easier to play in that set up?
I like how play to the details of each song, way to go, as usual great work. Would you ever consider covering one of his early drum solos? Before the electronics.
@reine71658 No, just helping with the sweat and tendinitis.
Damn.....i watch you more than Neil lately
awesome!!!!
Call me crazy, but this song one can really hear the "musicality" of Neil's composition. Peart is unmatched.
Yup, and it's a real sprint that song. Tough to play with power and speed.
@reine71658 No, never did, thank God. I also exercise everyday now, stationary biking and dumbbells.
Antoher Great vid
Excellent job of covering this song!!! I find this song very hard to cover myself and you did a really nice job!!! Keep it up!!!🤘
@thebiglou29 Toutes des Sabian Paragon, achetees comme un set special en 2006.
@ralle474 Some details of the drumset are available under my channel...
The move at about 3:06 is what sets you apart. Nice work. I noticed the new snare sound right away. Sounds very crisp.

Wow! Congratulations, you do a great job, you're a great drummer. I also admire "Professor" Neil Peart. Greetings here from Brazil! \o/

Yeahhh man!!! Congrats, I like your videos a lot!
+emohuerta Thank you!
Dude snare is incredible sounds freakin great! Oh and so do you, sorry!
freaking awesome
nailed it. That fill at 3:15 is fire!
@TheShornak Yes. Watch "Jacob's Ladder" for instance. I started to work on some songs yesterday mostly using the V-drums; stay tuned...
When are we going to see between the wheels?
My bad just found between the wheels! Ok. R30 overture?
Thank you!
Sparkles67-- new foot wear!,,,
I'll bet it IS quite the workout this song...and you didn't miss a beat! It is a great song, but then RUSH is a GREAT BAND too. Neill would be proud :)
Have you ever turned around and use the other drum set you have in the back?

Oh yeah, and if those are wrist weights I'm gonna' lose it.

Lock and Key... (flippin' iPad typing - hit enter instead of Shift) :)
Awesome playing! As said before, the last minutes of this song is just crazy. I feel well worked out playing only the guitar part.... :)
Wow.....this is the closest to Neil that I have ever seen. I enjoy and respect your talent a lot.
De quel marque son tes cymbales ?
You need to do
Wow. great. you look like you were gonna have a jammer.
@modelrailroader247 Nope, I'm perfectly happy with my Starclassic...
@roberttylershaver I got mine on eBay, years ago. I have seen several of these banners popping on eBay from time to time.
les québécois sont les meilleures.
