You are hands-down the best drummer that ever Grace UA-cam! Everything is spot-on! Your Rhythm your fills your Cadence totally awesome. Much love and respect brother
Man I LOVE this shit !.. This guy and Satsuma 3042 are so great to watch because they nail these guys so well you get a whole new level of perspective on the original artists' genius.... I bet Neil has seen All of dudes videos.
Excellent work, as usual, P! For some reason UA-cam did not notify me about this upload so I only stumbled on this upload from last month today. This is one of my favorite Rush tunes - complex just how I like it :)
That's a really good job you did Tom from Reno ☺️ I'm impressedcuz I love Neil Peart and Rush always have since I was a kid and I'm 60 years old stay safe
Never get tired of you working your magic on the drums! Unreal! I hope you are enjoying your music and that you are reaping the rewards of success. Awesome. I watch Subdivisions, YYZ, and this one for a mood altering experience!
Hey today is 7/14/22.... i watch all your rush videos many times. ..i'll check back... i'd like to see what your drums look like from ovethead. Your setup. Do you have a video from drummer view ? Thanks 🎶🎼🎼
Haven’t had one of your videos pop up on my feed for a while, but when I saw this I had to click on it because I remembered just how perfectly you cover Peart’s drums. I also love the sound of your kit. That is a really sweet set of drums there. I can’t believe that you’re not in a Rush tribute band? I see so many poor tribute bands trying to cover Rush and many that have drummers that can’t hold a candle to your playing. There has to be an awesome bassist and guitarists out there in a tribute band that would die to have you on the drums. I guess the weakest link in most Rush tribute bands is the vocals. Geddy has one of the most unique voices in rock. Very difficult to cover his vocals, even Geddy has had a hard time covering Geddy in the last years they toured. Anyway dude, no one rips up Neil’s drum pieces the way you do. I hope you find some other worthy musicians to jam with. We would all hate to see that talent go to waste. We all enjoy these videos you make, so all is not wasted. Keep up the awesome work man.
@RedBarchetta47 Top view would be kind of hard, unless I take down the roof! ;) I have two camcorders so I might try something different, some day... The problem is editing the stuff and I prefer to play than to spend hours editing in front of my computer... The sound is directly taken through my Canon camera.
Thanks for the input. Keith Moon to me was a great drummer, I describe his work as always "busy" and in songs like " "Reign o'er me" inspirational. Ringo , I think had the right sound that complitmented the music of the Beatles, a good drummer but not in the vein of Rush or others...Once again, I have the greatest admiration for your education and chosen profession and then you have my admiration for you ability as a drummer, plain and simple, you are goooood! Say Hello to the family for me!
Astro, I like RUSH. I grew up with it. Did you learn Peart by watching him, if not how so? I've watched Peart work his Drumset, which circles around him. I really think he is, at least, one of the greatest Drummers of all time. I've never seen anyone do this song, Not even NEW WORLD MEN, and they're very good. I would say RED BARCHETTA IS MY 2nd fav RUSH song.
I hope you and the family are doing well! Once again, good, good sounds, thank you! I wanted to ask you what do you think of Keith Moon and Ringo Starr as drummers? I love your work or is it play? Take the best of care of you and the family and a sincere thank you for entertaining us, after all, ft astrophysics peters out (lol) , you could always take the universe by storm with your muscianship!!!
WOW! Dude, you can PLAY! This is coming from a long time accomplished drummer ... and I am impressed!!!! Curious what type cymbals you use - I realize it would be too time consuming to list them all - but what is the ride you're using, and the hi hats? Also what type double pedal do you use? Keep up the great work!!
@Astrotama damn that camera has one heck of a mic then, but I know what you mean about time constraints. I always promise myself I'm going to make some videos or record something but then I end up using that time playing more and more.
@mjcygnus Hopefully, soon. The band has been moving at a slow pace in the last few months but we have plans to pick it up after the holidays, with gigs soon.
Astro: have you ever thought of doing different camera angles? This one is great for a wide angle shot of your whole kit, but a top view would be awesome! And do you mic your kit or just use the camera's built in one?
Where did this guy go? He is the King of Rush drums.
Hes an astronomy prof now at the university of hawaii .. wrote with him a few weeks ago
No doubt where art thou?!!
You are hands-down the best drummer that ever Grace UA-cam! Everything is spot-on! Your Rhythm your fills your Cadence totally awesome. Much love and respect brother
I don't think I could compliment you enough on this. It was nearly perfect. You have a great feel for Peart's style.
I WATCHED THIS A 100 TIMES AND THIS GUY STILL ROCKS..
Man I LOVE this shit !.. This guy and Satsuma 3042 are so great to watch because they nail these guys so well you get a whole new level of perspective on the original artists' genius.... I bet Neil has seen All of dudes videos.
Another great cover Astro. if Neil ever retires, I think Geddy and Alex will be calling you.
Best rush cover on UA-cam and it's 8 years old already
Thank you!
