- some people might be asking why i made this video because i grew up with the ps1 playing spiderman, gran turismo 1 & 2, and alot of other ps1 games and when i was playing grand turismo 2 i would always watch the intro everytime and enjoy it and i wanted to recreate my memories of turning on my ps1 and listening to the boot of the ps1 and the intro of gran turismo. I was always so entranced by the intro on GT2, to this day I feel like it's the best intro ever...but I think this is better. Using more modern scenes gives me more of a FEEL of how I remember it. Thanks for the remake. As I am older now, and GT is a thing of long past, I really love this kind of nostalgia.
I'm not much of a racing fan like I used to be, but I've always had major respect for the Gran Turismo series. Each game that comes out just blows me away with its incredible graphics, and I hold the GT2 intro with this song dear to my heart.
I've never found another game that pulled me in like this one did! All my friends were into this game at the time. Best time ever spent on video games! The song was the cherry on top!! GT2 fan for life!

@@averagesundaydriver8122 That's nostalgia, and while I don't disagree with you, (because GT4 was my childhood and what literally got me into fully loving racing irl and the whole GT series) Gran Turismo 7 is going to be quite amazing. Plus don't forget about ray tracing and ultra high HD graphics 4k 120fps.

The greatest thing about this video is that when we saw the original GT2 for the first time is this graphics that we saw, cause that where the best in that age. Tks for the video, awesome work, pure nostalgie!
The early Gran Turismo games 1-4 were phenomenal games, the musicians that were supported truly is what set this apart from all the generic racing franchises of all past attempts to make a driving game, on a home console, and we can't forget that most if not all the cars were real cars you could potentially buy in real life, many of which never were offered in the USA and some models came to the USA as a result of this games success, for example the beloved Subaru WRX STI and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for example, we may have never gotten a taste of awesome AWD 4 door turbo rally car goodness without this game.

I played granturismo 2 at the time and a spec I race to victory very well with the coolest vehicles and tracks from around the world.

Fits Sport perfectly, cus we all started losing our favorite game. Not a bad game, but definitely wasn't as greeat as it could of been. Luckily 7 looks to be going back to its roots.

the only thing missing is maybe some of the sounds... like of the cars, going over the dirt roads, through the tunnels, the engines... etc.. they could've been done in the background and in low volume so the song is still the main focus... but this is still great!
I never even played GT2 as a kid. I was born in ‘99 so started out with GT4 but I have to say this song is just so fitting to the series. Would love to see this over GT4... and for it to be the intro for GT7!!

Nah these new GT games stopped trying after 4...graphically they've always been amazing but in terms of the meat and potatoes [simulator aspect] they've lost it same with engine sounds everything still sounds like a vacuum cleaner...
