Good morning Dave ☕️ That’s great to hear, this new design is a huge improvement. The next few videos to be released are the alignment video and outdrive install video. 👍🧰
When I got to the end of this, my shaft spins pretty stiff. Difficult to get it to spin with one hand like yours does in the video. Is this normal? Mine is a alpha one gen 2. White plastic washer on top of the shaft, no washer on bottom of shaft.
@@johnathonuncapher7523 Thanks for watching, it can be normal to a certain extent. New seals and bushings can and will create a firmer grip, however not to an extent that it would be noticeably concerning. Did you buy OEM or aftermarket? Aftermarket bushings and seals can be hit or miss in regards to the perfect fit.
@DIYwithMichaelBorders I bought OEM same kit in your video. Turned out the bottom bushing needed to be set in another 1/8". So on mine, it's more like 3/8" instead of 1/4" above the top lip of the bottom of the bell housing. Now it spins freely and seems proper. Hopefully that's not an issue. It really took 2 hands to spin it before, and was concerning.

Hey man I love your videos very professional and well done keep going💪
Thank you! 😁👍 Means the world to us, no joke.
can I do this while my bellow head is still on?
I believe that the bolt is a 5/16"(dia) not a 1/2" bolt used on the home made tool. Other than that, it's a great video!

Very cool, OEM is best. That’s awesome you were able to make the minor adjustment to get it working more efficiently. 😎👍
