I’m happy for you Kacee that you got to go book shopping in Japan. Very cool. ❤️
One of the things I love most about Japan is the way they do graphic design/product design. I feel like they really do specialize in the arts and design of any kind. Even looking through Kinokuniya’s selection of japanese books gets me excited because I just love everything about the design of the book covers. The images, the plastic (?) dust cover, the miniature size of the novels, even the font😂 When I peek inside some of the informational/educational nonfiction books they always have some small illustrations and infographics, not just a wall of text. I’ve actually seen quite a few nonfiction books that would be titled something like “learn … through illustration”.
My interest in Japan and japanese language started from anime (like most of us i’m sure) but now, my main motivation for learning japanese is being to explore these books! 😅 I gotta say, even as I buy my japanese language study books, I get excited cuz the covers are so colorful.😂
3:34 that movie is a fun watch
if you like fairy tales and murder mistery
You should pick up a Murakami book while you’re there (if you still are). He is a rock star in Japan and I love his translated works in English. Norwegian Wood, The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, and After the Quake are some of my favorites!
No way!! I've always wanted to travel to Japan.
*SHUT! UP!
I always called Japan Gainex land bc how much they've been in my whole life. that place is tankoban mecca : )
That looks like the store right behind the Tokyo JR Station! Did you see the HUGE fountain pen selection on the top floor!?
Your cameraman seems legit, you should find him to do reaction!😂
The Gion District is amazing! I've read that they instituted a tourist ban in some areas recently. Is that still going on?
Make a vlog for dos cavasoz irl
Bookstores here in Japan are all going bankrupt.
Nobody buys or reads physical books anymore.
I still remember the times when everybody used to read in trains.
Now everybody seems to be staring at their smartphones.
So sad!😢
