Just got done watching the whole playlist on the car!! Glad to see your back on the car getting it fixed again. I truelly wish I had a car like yours! I would be wrenching on it as much as I can to get her back on the road! Myself I am doing a Triumph Spitfire 1500 and have plans to have it going by May. Just subbed and cant wait to see more! the cost of machining and sleeving the original cyclinders may have solved all those other problems !

i too, housed my first car, a '61 MGA bought in 1970, in an old wooden garage. the garage was most likely built, initially, to shelter the family carriage. as the adjacent lean-to looked a lot like a horse stable. ...always a process getting it in and out.

From what Land Rover series are the finally beak cylinders ?

@mycaseihc2238 They're Series 2 cylinders and Defender 90 shoes. The part numbers are in one of the videos, but I can find them for you if you need them.

will be interested in whether or not that is enough movement in the piston to do the job. i suspect that it isn't. but hoping it is. BTW, didn't see any adjustment mechanism for the shoes...curious.

No, alas that certainly won't be enough movement to engage the shoes properly. There is still plenty of air in the system, and I'm working on getting a rebuilt master cylinder as a safety measure.
Well spotted with the lack of adjustment mechanism - they are supposedly "self-adjusting" according to Triumph, but in reality this just means they bind all the time! No wonder the Roadsters had a reputation for hesitant performance...
