As long as you talk enough, you can go back and pick out old things where you use them to say you were right all along. I hear talking heads saying basically contradictory things all the times depending on the latest news and wind direction. Prove something by making open bets on specifics and maintaining an open record of them that you can show in entirety and compare to others if you wanna impress me. Don’t just take some clips. I hear Shannon Sharps go GOAT praising LeBron then saying he’s got issues he won’t overcome, same with everyone else. The only series I’ve called wrong so far was the Lakers/Warriors one (I underestimated the LeBron favoring by refs lol and the chaos of the Warriors team dynamic with Poole and Dray and all that, also Klay didn’t come through the way I thought he would in game 6, I half seriously conjectured that the Refs/NBA in general wanted LeBron to advance for economic reasons long term but ultimately against Denver the team quality differential was too much for them to hole to sway the outcome, but I admit this is speculative on my part). Jimmy Buckets is one of the few dogs left in the league, and I won’t bet against them ever (though I think Denver may be able to beat them with their team dynamic but I haven’t thought about or analyzed it enough yet to form my opinion but I will if/when they win tonight or Monday night lol, my money is on them winning tonight, I don’t see Boston becoming the first of 151 teams to come back from being down 0-3 given how inconsistent they can be, the way they balled in Game 5 was not something they can reproduce in both of the next 2 games even if they miraculously do tonight in Miami, but we shall see).
As far as Boston versus Denver, I would think Denver would fuck them up. Miami would have a greater chance but it’s hard to see myself betting against Denver unless Jimmy Buckets just goes God mode. We shall see!

wow, amazing video with some insane insights. when you guys were describing how the Heat always managed to find themselves in close games only to barely win- little did we know, all those experiences were building up the entire roster to be absolute killers in the clutch come playoff time. As we’ve all seen now, they play with so much confidence and are able to come back from 10+ deficits in the fourth out of absolutely nowhere while the other team is discombobulated and gassed. They dont fold under pressure and have immense poise. Every player in the rotation knows their role and they dont buckle or mentally collapse.
They’ve completely torn the souls out from the Bucks and the Celtics and left them looking confused and lost despite those teams being way more talented and deep on paper. The Bucks looked like they completely collapsed in Games 4 and 5. Giannis was completely rattled and looked terrified to even touch the ball by the end of that series which is insane to see from the guy who mercilessly dropped 50 in Game 6 of the finals just 2 years ago. “Best Perimeter Defender in the League” Jrue Holiday was getting straight up abused by Jimmy. In Game 3 for the Celtics we saw Jayson Tatum getting his ankles snapped by Gabe Vincent and blown past by Duncan Robinson. Shits just embarrassing. They’ve completely wrecked the Eastern conference.
To me this is a sign of top tier coaching and a well run franchise. To sum it up, the entire team got that dawg in them.

To me, this series reminds me of the Simpsons episode with the zombies. The Heat tapping the Celtics head, hearing only hollow noises, and coming up disgusted that there's no "braaaaaiiins" in there

There versatility on defense is whats insane. When you match how hard they play defense and hustle and scrap with switching from man to man to multiple random different zone defenses and different kinds of double teams where they moght jist show or completely trap or whatever they do really hard to stifle the best scorers it throws teams off. Most nba teams will have one type of zone theyll use a little bit or half the time maybe. Miami uses different zones a bunch and then u got Jimmy and Bam anchoring it and then Jimmy actually turns up like crazy in ths postseason so u have a legitimate superstar running things.

While I can appreciate the frustration, this team was the #1 seed last year and were one possession away from the NBA Finals, along with being 3 years removed from an NBA Finals. This team wins by staying close and finding a moment in the 2nd half to win comfortably or make it to the last moments and win by the smallest of margins. The road is just as comfortable as playing at home. They are the team that relies on the game being 48 minutes full of basketball. You will lose focus, you get mentally tired, and they'll give you enough rope so you can h@ng yourself. The Miami Heat are a worthy Championship contending team who by mid-June could have finished the job. This is basketball not gymnastics. There are no style points and in 10 years they will be remembered as the tough team at the beginning of the decade that won 1 Championship, went to 2 NBA Finals and 3 Eastern Conference Finals in 4 years.
Put some RESPEK in their name.

As a heat fan I thought our season was over when we lost to the hawks at the playing, we could've been the 6th or 5th seed if we win some key games down the stretch but we lost and kept losing but we always played our style of basketball and always competed so I feel I gotta apologize for ever doubt this team and the Godfather Pat Riley
