Your editing is everything and I love it. Nosk randomly jumscaring the player in deepnest is something I never knew I wanted. Can you imagine Nosk being like Nemesis from Resident Evil? He just keeps chasing you throught deepnest and then you have a battle to the death in the beast's den. Than would be wicked!

He's possibly a void creature who fused with the infection. in his lair you see he hunts vessels, which don't really have any meat to them, just void. also with his masks in game he's hunting for the knight and Hornet (Nosk thinks Hornet is void smh).

Nosk can read the memories of its prey and shapeshift into their loved ones in order to lure them to their lair, hence the Dream Nail dialogue of the corpses found on the way to its lair (plus, seeing an exact replica of yourself in the middle of a spider-infested cave would be much more suspicious than finding your sibling there). The reason why it shapeshifts into the Knight during the Deepnest encounter is because, being an emptier vessel than the rest, the Knight lacks any memories for Nosk to use, so it has to resort to mimicking the Knight themselves. I'm not sure about Winged Nosk, but I imagine the reason why it turns into Hornet is because either the Knight isn't as hollow anymore or it's using the memories of the Godseekers instead. Also, all sorts of ordinary predatory creatures such as vengeflies and fool eaters attack the Knight, who is made of void, so the fact that Nosk hunted other vessels doesn't mean it's also made of void. Maybe it just mistook them for ordinary living creatures, just like most NPCs don't recognize the Knight as a vessel.
