Anyone who has kids or been around kids today knows that Pokemon will be around for another 50 years at least. Its part of growing up and the only tangible thing kids really have in a digital world of you tube slime videos , social media and video games.
I think people just find it hard to believe how consistent pokemon is at making people money. Every set ever has just gone up in price. You certainly can't find a set that was even printed 5 years ago for retail. You can't really say the same for other card games like magic and yugioh.
The only manipulation for Pokémon cards is so called “investors in Pokémon cards” themselves. They treat those cards as stocks. Whatever happen on Wall Street has carries over TCGs.
Though I don't disagree about the bubble, the TCG stores do communicate and then those that don't simply follow downstream. It's as easy as clicking send on a mass email with BCC. If you don't believe this, then you clearly weren't around for the massive "pull out cards" prior to MtG unbans that was unilateral across all big TCGs. GGT getting unbanned tomorrow? Look at that, a week ahead all stocks on this card that was never unbanned went to 0 and suddenly, the day of the announcement, it went back up to 100 units for every store. Get real...
Rudy, people equate the market to the health of most other markets during 2020-2023. Stocks, Crypto, and everything was pumped during this time period. For Pokémon; You can thank all of the influencers who bought Pokémon at absurd prices during a time of over printing. Not saying Pokémon will have an epic crash but it's possible after seeing most other markets. The shear amount of product in major retailers is insane, no one is buying them as I have been to the same Walmarts, month after month; I can only imagine sealed booster boxes and blister packs will hold value and accrue.
Following Rudy's bathroom video, I kept tabs and bought every single under priced pokemon product these past 2 years. Invested in Battle Styles aka the worst set ever - bought boxes under 75$ from anyone who wanted to sell, and look at that, they already going for almost 700$ per case or 115-120 per box... Can't wait to see what's the price going to be by the end of this year :)
@@D0012D13 Incorrect. If he didn't invest the money, it would still be effected by inflation. $100 invested return $110 after an inflation of 10% he still has the same buying power. WIthout investing he would have $90 buying power.
I am struggling to decide of 3 things. Stay away from TCG’s. Invest in Revised Dual Lands (I think there’s $ to be made here right now). Or become a Rudy patron and invest in sealed draft boxes to sit on for 15 years when I plan to retire. Thoughts please?

This is probably more important then what I said. Top card PRICES:
Battle Styles: Tyranitar V Alt Art $70
Chilling Reign: Blaziken VMax Alt Art $178
Evolving Skies: Umbreon VMax Alt Art $606 / Rayquaza $200 / and more.. box is expensive for a reason
Fusion Strike: Gengar Vmax Alt Art $135 / Special mention to Espeon at $100 - I don't think that's it's ceiling.
Brilliant Stars: Charizard V Alt Art $100
Astral Radiance: Machamp V Alt Art $114
Lost Origin: Giratina V Alt Art $325
Silver Tempest: Lugia V Alt Art $165
Crown Zenith: Giratina VStar $120 - Release In January. Not as solid as the other prices.
No hat required though. People want the card(s)
Anyone who has kids or been around kids today knows that Pokemon will be around for another 50 years at least. Its part of growing up and the only tangible thing kids really have in a digital world of you tube slime videos , social media and video games.
Rudy talks pokemon!!! :D
HA! You've exposed yourself Rudy. You're clearly in league with TCGPlayer and the Pokemon Company. Time to dump your S&S boxes folks 😉
Thanks Rudy!
You got a sub from me my friend!! Great content 🎉
Don’t worry Rudy. I’m still holding on to my towers in time sealed boxes
No Rudy, NOOOO!!
Hell I hope it is a bubble so I can rip all my sealed and buy anything I like that I don’t pull!😎👍🏼
I’d start buying Korean eevee heroes . Can’t beat it at $50
Though I don't disagree about the bubble, the TCG stores do communicate and then those that don't simply follow downstream.
Get real...
I feel like people don't understand that Pokemon is the biggest franchise in the world. Ofc. MetaZoo can't compete with that.
Lol I have a TCGPlayer seller account and sold my Evolving Skies BB case for $2.5k, there are definitely people buying it up LOL
The Card market has been slowly deflating whilst inflation is rising
Whats that called
I like this weekly timmys talk.
dear rudy, pokemon has crashed 70% in the last 2 years, pokemon is in a bubble.
After inflation, shipping and selling costs; sounds like you might break even.
@@D0012D13 Incorrect. If he didn't invest the money, it would still be effected by inflation. $100 invested return $110 after an inflation of 10% he still has the same buying power. WIthout investing he would have $90 buying power.
Sounds like toilet paper....😢
evolving skies to the moon
Lol conspiracy theorists, surprised we haven’t heard it’s the government buying all the Pokémon cards
I am struggling to decide of 3 things. Stay away from TCG’s. Invest in Revised Dual Lands (I think there’s $ to be made here right now). Or become a Rudy patron and invest in sealed draft boxes to sit on for 15 years when I plan to retire. Thoughts please?
magics a dead boomer game, bad investment now
@@ugandanknuckles464 all due respect sir, that doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’m late Gen X and I was playing the game in its relative youth (Homelands, Ice Age, 4th Ed., Mirage, Alliances).
I think the state of the Pokemon franchise is in the gutter, but no, the TCG is probably not in a bubble. In fact, the massive spike we saw in SuMo was a market overcorrection, where people realized there are Base Set Charizards worth a few hundred bucks, when they realistically should cost thousands. Now we're behind the uptick, the prices are slowly coming back to normal, market is calming down. If they'd continue going up, I'd say it's definitely a bubble, because interest in Pokemon isn't actually that high. The games are garbage and the TCG is now garbage too.
games are garbage, but they still sell tons. pokemon to the mooooooon
Who is this person that said that pokemon is a bubble loool. I'm in the pokemon tcg community and there's just so so much hype and it just doesn't seem to die down.
Dear Rudy, its pronounced why-fu. Have a nice day folks!
Rudy, my gf said it’s not my fault I dump my cardboard load too early for too cheap
Dear Rudy what about the Outsiders situation, will you comment on that? :D
This dude's asking the tough questions
Why what happened?
