Not only is there a battle for squad space, but also for materials. Even whales will only be able to farm SSS so much over time and max out so many modules. I'm reasonably certain, in fact, that it is impossible to max out every single module. And even ignoring SSS, not everyone will be able to afford the sanity cost of upgrading all of their operators. For instance, I still have Angelina's S2 on my I'm Gonna M3 This One Day I Promise list! I can't afford it because there's just so much else I need to prioritize! HyperGryph, pls. Let Angelina eat. She is so hungry.

Same. At this rate Angie will be forever M3 because why would I ever M3 her S2 in her current state? Hell, why would I ever use Angelina when Gnosis exists? His S3 is far superior to her S2 for utility AND he can attack during his skill downtime. Angie's HP regen is also too small to matter. If I need team-wide HP regen, Perfumer or using the Abyssal Hunters are a way better utility pick.

Also, she brings more to the table than just pure heals, which means that if you don't need stronger direct heals in your squad, Angelina does the job quite well. Unlike Perfumer, healing is a part-time job for Angie -- it goes offline when she's actually doing things, and that could matter. Also, mentioning An Entire Literal Squad is kind of unfair when you're talking about a single operator. You are, sadly, correct about Gnosis. There could be niche applications where Angelina's viable and Gnosis isn't, but in general... yeah. Much as I'm loathe to admit it.
There have been some success stories with modules: passenger and mostima got solid buffs to their usability, and the summoners got easier to use for an average player. But also, I think the 'buffing groups of units within the same subclass' design set was wrongheaded from the start. Personally, I think modules should have been closer to interludes/rank up quests in Fate/Grand Order, and actually directly changed or upgraded skills, rather than being this weird mix of passive upgrades and trait upgrades, and been personally tailored to each unit. That way, they could directly address units who had problems, rather than being forced to buff units who really don't need the help.
I mean, there is no reason why the upgrades could not be tailored to fit the unit in the subclass anyway. Like you said, Passenger (and all chain-casters) got a very nice buff, and Summoners as a whole were raised to better/easier to use levels. Still, at the end of the day, it is a gacha game. I have Siege as one of my only 6* Vanguards, and thus I will keep using her, and I will welcome her module once it releases to Global.

If they keep to the pattern, the next 6* alter isn't until Anniv-- which means probably another Abyssal Hunter/Aegirian, unless SN was the last of the Iberian Bloodborne arc. Assuming they keep to the pattern, Siege alter isn't probable until a year from now. Wild guess: It's a version of her after she's taken the throne, and her release coincides with the arc's last chapter.
@bird9412 Is Andreana really absent in the story? I feel she's the most likely of the hunters we currently have, just by process of elimination. Both Kal and Gladiia are 6*s who rank well in the current meta, unlike Skadi and Ch'en way back when. Expanding it to Aegirians at large, I kinda wanna see Deepcolor or Cuora be given makeovers.

How about what the module system did to Reed? Step 1: Give a certain other charger vanguard, Bagpipe, 2 dp on kill, on or off skill, removing Reed's already narrow niche. Step 2: Give Reed a faster attack speed after getting hit with arts damage, making tanking arts damage her only applicable niche. Step 3: Realize every other operator in this niche does it better than her. Step 4: Do nothing about it.
Though to put a bit of a finer point on it I do think you are somewhat overstating the part that meta plays in what people choose to bring in terms of operators. The fact that people still bring guard Ch'en despite Ch'en alter being a thing is proof enough of that.

As someone who loves and uses Siege a LOT as a prime Vanguard, yeah I feel this immensely. Granted she is HEAVILY implied to be getting an Alter sometime soon, but it doesn't change the fact that she is a character who NEEDS something big to make her feel like she has her place.
I don't see how alternate characters validates leaving the original versions as they are. Especially since Hypergryph just loves making said alters either limited or event-exclusive rewards. Siege's biggest issue is the fact that neither of her unique skills actually support her role as a vanguard that well. Second skill needs enemies to hit (and in a large wave, to generate more SP on E2), which is counterproductive to vanguards that you want to unload early to build the team when the enemies are a slow trickle. Her third skill makes her just a meh guard. The damage is large, but it's single target and slow. That's kind of unacceptable when her stats outside of the skills usage are nothing special for a guard. If it at least included some chip DP generation, we could then consider her having some area, but right now, she's only particularly good for maps with a literal flood of fodder (like the tumors) due to her second skills true AoE.

Reed's module broke my heart, and I truly, truly fear the day they make absolutely useless Carnelian or Frostleaf modules. Modules died as a concept of 'buffing units' when they did Reed so dirty

That'd make her too broken imo or it would push HG to make stupid counters like more 9999 weight enemies. Honestly, I just wished the talent upgrades were swapped. Her best module is defo the SP-gen when enemies are in her range module but I wish the passive on that was the double passive healing coz that makes it the best of both worlds. Makes her into Skalter-lite and Eyja-lite into 1 compact unit. Or you can also go the route of actually making the +atk speed she gives relevant. A paltry +5 extra if a unit is in her range for a total of +12 (max pot) is so fucking irrelevant. Also since Ange's charging mechanic exists, the slow-increase module is instantly trash on her. Great for a unit like Istina who constantly attacks on/off skill but not Ange. Honestly, we're past the point where Ange even needs to charge. Just remove her charging mechanic and let her normal attack while off-skill.

"HG did my girls dirty" *Me looking at Dusk* "First time?" Although Dusk's 2nd module makes her niche a lot more fun to use it is still very rare for me to think to use Dusk on difficult stages. Stultifera Navis's Reefbreakers were enemies Dusk's skill 3 shined for though.

I've been telling you. There are 2 teams making the module. One of them is filled with actual human being who knows and plays the game, and the other one is an office room filled with a bunch of cats with keyboard as a floor. But for real, I honestly don't know what good Ange module would be. One idea I have is "grants 1 shield to all allies in range(all deployed allies on T3 module) when activating skill." The idea was she got really good at controlling gravity that she can nullify enemy attack.
See, that just feels a lil too different from her regular talents for me, Not sure what kind of buffs you’d need to actually need to bring them up to par while staying wholly in their talents rather than effectively giving her a third one like yours sounds like.
@@mochithepooh5368 Gladiia's 1st talent buffs Abyssal hunters, it buffs them in two different ways, but it's still just buffing abyssal hunters. Angelina's talents are a heal when skill is deactivated and a permanent attackspeed boost, I'd expect either of the module upgrades to keep to at least one of those traits- maybe you could stretch it to do something when the skill *finishes* with her Part-time job talent, but I think that'd be a stretch.
@@sqentontheslime1967 If you want to go the boring way, is to remove the "skill not activated" requirement for her passive healing, which is good...until you look at other people's module. Or buff her aspd talent to +10, additional +15 for allies in range (during when skill is active) The fact that her talent is global but also really boring makes it hard to balance. Because if you buff it too little, it would good but really "meh", but if you buff it too much, it would broke a lot stuff.
Tbf, the talent upgrade for Angelina is super useful for that one stage with the 4 omega defender dudes, where the secret challenge is to keep them all alive.
Don't worry Yii, if HG fucks up fixing Hellagur and the Mushas I will also be as mad as you lmao (And Angelina was my second e2 6*, so the fact that she's falling into irrelevance makes me pretty sad. I only bring her out when I'm dealing with healer bans and want to pretend that my casters don't exist)
Their module is out in CN soon. But I don't think they can fix musha, given their 1st talent is already a copy pasta of each other (instead of it being subclass thingy)
@@DisIngRaM I don't think HG fix musha, but they really bring hellagur back to the meta roaster. Like, that +130 ASPD on 50% HP is so fucking crazy. 2,6 ASPD per 1% HP lost is just crazy. And don't forget they give all musha Shelter effect.

They should have done something similar to the rogue like for Angelina's module. Like "When skill is activated, deals damage equal to 2% of the targets max hp" type of thing. It's not like she had too much for herself

the idea behind sieges module is good since shes so stat relient but the stat increase is like the bare minimum it should have been 13% for all vanguards and extra 13% for siege
I'll be honest, I'm still at early-middle game probably so I can't really feel most of these nuances since I only have a few 6* to be grateful for, but it's great to have content both informative and easy to follow for the future.
As someone whose beloved are: Estelle, a forgotten jewel who faces neglection. And Reed, a dragon who lost all her treasure and had what made her special stolen from her. I know exactly how you feel.
Another reason why i hate module system is others get significant buffs while others is just mid or downright shit but they literally cost the same 💀. Also the fact that some ops are not the same char before and after their modules and they are still not even 1 year old operators 🤣. I wish HG stop being stingy with buffs and just put it in the operator in question directly(I mean 80% of our current modules are just literally like this "tier" kind of buff) and save the module system for something unique like what the others got.

For what it's worth, I still use Siege sometimes. Mostly because I don't have Bagpipe yet and I'm too poor / stubborn to E2 Saga. If I need a third vanguard after Texas and Myrtle (or I can't use Myrtle cuz I need to block early enemies), I pick Siege.
Was this video made for me specifically? Angelina and Siege were my first 6 Star Operators from the beginner banner (I don't do Rerolls in gacha). And while I love them and used them for a while to clear content, they really just don't get the kind of love from the devs that they deserve
Siege's 2nd module will have a -DP cost for first deployment, right? In some levels, the only thing keeping me from making Siege my only vanguard or sticking to her 3rd skill is because of her high DP cost, so...maybe? useful? and it'll interact with her 2nd talent, which means either more SP/kill, or SP gen when specific other units kill, or /copium becomes SP battery Well, I hope it's something fun
I mean I still use Angelina and find her useful. I just think other characters are overtuned rather than her being undertuned. Take Ejia, she basically powercreeps all AOE mages by being a single target mage that can fill both niches. And can pretty much do what Angelina does but better. Or any ranged Guard, Thorns basically powercreeps half the roster by existing. The one thing I do find Angelina really useful for is Emnity knights though. Since Skalter can only cover a limited range, Angelina can serve as a healer and can chip enemies down for Mudrock, Hellagur and Akafuyu. Also she is great if you wanna do pushing and pulling shenanigans. But otherwise yeah.
there's this system call "balance change" where you can either buff, nerf, or both (rework) Releasing more modules with (seemingly) super boring farming stages for module isn't gonna do it With HG's reputation so far? Nothing is gonna change, I would love to be wrong though There's also this trend where only popular operator got reasonable buff, so uhh... interesting
As someone who M6 Angelina skills and unlock her module when it first release, I really hoped that HG gave her module upgrade something to be excited for. A buff is a buff but because of having limited resources of course I will prioritize those that gives the most benefit. Hopefully HG tweak her modules or any other operators that was given meh modules to be more versatile or beneficial
it's really sad remembering she's top pick for first few CC and now not even used, her Module and i think Nightingale's module is garbo, Nightingale's only saving grace was that she doesn't get powercreeped by blue woman and still have some uses to this day

Great for a unit like Istina who constantly attacks on/off skill but not Ange. Honestly, we're past the point where Ange even needs to charge. Just remove her charging mechanic and let her normal attack while off-skill.

Tested weedy on w cuz she’s weight 5 and bosses like patriot is a 7 weight -2 is 5 w flew back .5 of a tile so maybe her module can be
the first second of Angelina’s skill being activated -1 weight to all enemies in range so it can only happen whenever her skill is activated and her cd would be her skill being active and having to charge the skill
It honestly wouldn’t be absurdly broken as to use this skill effectively u need a good map and a few push or pull operators and at that point u can just use meta units like kal’tsit who can deal like 3k true damage to kill the boss it’ll give content creators some fun as well

I've been telling you. There are 2 teams making the module. One of them is filled with actual human being who knows and plays the game, and the other one is an office room filled with a bunch of cats with keyboard as a floor.
But for real, I honestly don't know what good Ange module would be. One idea I have is "grants 1 shield to all allies in range(all deployed allies on T3 module) when activating skill."
The idea was she got really good at controlling gravity that she can nullify enemy attack.

@@mochithepooh5368 Gladiia's 1st talent buffs Abyssal hunters, it buffs them in two different ways, but it's still just buffing abyssal hunters.
Angelina's talents are a heal when skill is deactivated and a permanent attackspeed boost, I'd expect either of the module upgrades to keep to at least one of those traits- maybe you could stretch it to do something when the skill *finishes* with her Part-time job talent, but I think that'd be a stretch.

If you want to go the boring way, is to remove the "skill not activated" requirement for her passive healing, which is good...until you look at other people's module. Or buff her aspd talent to +10, additional +15 for allies in range (during when skill is active)
The fact that her talent is global but also really boring makes it hard to balance. Because if you buff it too little, it would good but really "meh", but if you buff it too much, it would broke a lot stuff.

Tbf, the talent upgrade for Angelina is super useful for that one stage with the 4 omega defender dudes, where the secret challenge is to keep them all alive.

@@DisIngRaM I don't think HG fix musha, but they really bring hellagur back to the meta roaster. Like, that +130 ASPD on 50% HP is so fucking crazy. 2,6 ASPD per 1% HP lost is just crazy. And don't forget they give all musha Shelter effect.

Another reason why i hate module system is others get significant buffs while others is just mid or downright shit but they literally cost the same 💀.
Also the fact that some ops are not the same char before and after their modules and they are still not even 1 year old operators 🤣.
I wish HG stop being stingy with buffs and just put it in the operator in question directly(I mean 80% of our current modules are just literally like this "tier" kind of buff) and save the module system for something unique like what the others got.
The problem isnt about the idea of module, they are made to improve an operator or create a new niche/playstyle for them but how they implemented it.

For what it's worth, I still use Siege sometimes. Mostly because I don't have Bagpipe yet and I'm too poor / stubborn to E2 Saga. If I need a third vanguard after Texas and Myrtle (or I can't use Myrtle cuz I need to block early enemies), I pick Siege.
Same lol. I do have Flagpipe team, but I never bothered raising Saga to E2. Siege is my go-to whenever I needed a Pioneer Vanguard.
Was this video made for me specifically? Angelina and Siege were my first 6 Star Operators from the beginner banner (I don't do Rerolls in gacha). And while I love them and used them for a while to clear content, they really just don't get the kind of love from the devs that they deserve

Siege's 2nd module will have a -DP cost for first deployment, right? In some levels, the only thing keeping me from making Siege my only vanguard or sticking to her 3rd skill is because of her high DP cost, so...maybe? useful?
and it'll interact with her 2nd talent, which means either more SP/kill, or SP gen when specific other units kill, or /copium becomes SP battery

I mean I still use Angelina and find her useful. I just think other characters are overtuned rather than her being undertuned.
Take Ejia, she basically powercreeps all AOE mages by being a single target mage that can fill both niches. And can pretty much do what Angelina does but better.
Or any ranged Guard, Thorns basically powercreeps half the roster by existing.
The one thing I do find Angelina really useful for is Emnity knights though. Since Skalter can only cover a limited range, Angelina can serve as a healer and can chip enemies down for Mudrock, Hellagur and Akafuyu. Also she is great if you wanna do pushing and pulling shenanigans. But otherwise yeah.

As someone who M6 Angelina skills and unlock her module when it first release, I really hoped that HG gave her module upgrade something to be excited for. A buff is a buff but because of having limited resources of course I will prioritize those that gives the most benefit. Hopefully HG tweak her modules or any other operators that was given meh modules to be more versatile or beneficial
it's really sad remembering she's top pick for first few CC and now not even used, her Module and i think Nightingale's module is garbo, Nightingale's only saving grace was that she doesn't get powercreeped by blue woman and still have some uses to this day
