Hey guys! If you're interested in the demo or wishlisting Train Valley World, you can find it here: tblink.co/TotalXclipseTrain I'll also be jumping into stream later (6pm GMT) if you want to join!
PSA: Passengers in this game are f'ing stupid and will refuse to board at a station if the train has a drop-off order there. In order to get anything close to a loop, you need to do this: Passengers board at Station A and are dropped off at Station B. Train proceeds empty to Station C and more passengers board. Train then returns to Station B, where it drops off those passengers, before returning to Station A empty to start over.
You can see in this video that we do a loop where passengers are picked up at station A and dropped off at station B, followed by being picked up at station B and heading to station A to drop off and pick up, this is with no issues. Are you sure all of your stations allows you to drop off passengers?
@@TotalXclipseI could drop passengers off just fine, but new ones would refuse to get on at that station. In further testing, this behavior applied to all cargo; dropping anything off - or even just having a drop off queued but being empty - stopped the train from picking anything up at the same station. For example, I tried to set a train to drop off sand at a glass factory, then pick up any glass that was ready and bring it to the goal, then go back for more sand. Instead it just kept doing loops while the factory filled up with glass ready to ship.
Ahh I think I know the issue, you need to click the station to drop the items and passengers off, then click the platform again to collect the items it should work@@armedkevin1178
@@TotalXclipse Right you are, that did the trick. Thanks for that, and apologies if "tired from staying up too late playing a new game" me was difficult to deal with.
