I just want to say awesome work and thanks for helping us to play the song, I 've checked for the TAB but there is nothing correct on the net and you man give us that outstanding version, thank to you and merry christmas, this is my christmas song !
Ah thanks man, happy christmas and thanks for the kind words!
Awesome!
Always wondered how that was played. Thanks for that.

Great!!!!
well here I am again getting tips from your videos. and that tone? oh my...
haha nice to hear from you again mate and thanks for your kind words! hope you and the guys are still riding high from the awesomeness of your "Dance..." video!
Long time no see! Too many great videos posted lately! Thanks a lor for your great work! You will probably know but Mike uses the Hughes & Kettner rotosphere mk2 rotary effect. Unfortunately it is very hard to find then on the market right now. I tried it a couple of years ago but the prices was crazy. The sound is simply amazing. Thanks a lot for another great lesson!
Thanks man and welcome back :-) Didn't know that so thanks for the info!
I kinda miss the binmen now 😉. Great lesson Matt, thanks 👍🏼
Brian Madden haha thanks Brian, don’t worry I’m sure they’ll be back soon!! 😂
Great video, great song... thanks! Love that guitar btw (please tell us it's story, in detail).
you're welcome! i may have done in another vid but bascially it's a Fender US Tele plus that i bought when i was in college in the late 90s. Had it ever since!
😊
Awesome. Those videos are one of the more inspiring things for me to grab a guitar and try to actually play a song through and through, and not just fiddle around with it (the guitar).
If there is one suggestion I'd make is: at the begining of the video add maybe 30 seconds of actually playing the tune so that we can get reminded which song you're talking about. Kinda like "What's the melody" - sometimes just a couple of seconds are enough to get full song back to your head.
cool thanks so much for the kind comment!
Agree
Great lesson Matt as always. Thank you. Can you say how Eddie plays the intro live?
Martin Steiger haha I did think I should have put this in the vid but thought nah no one will be too bothered 😀 I’ll pop some tab up on Patreon with a description mate 🤘
Let's Play All thanks Matt. That would be great.
Hey Matt !quick question how do you like the line 6 mm4 in total ? And also for Mike tonal quality live ? . im looking to spruce up my live setup !thanks for all you do . its a lifesaver during quarantine
Daniel Harris hey Daniel, no worries man glad you’re enjoying the vids! The MM4 is superb value for money (especially if you buy second hand - I think mine was about £60!) so given you get so many modulation effects it’s excellent value and perfect for home use. For live use I’m not so sure tbh, I think it sucks a little volume out but tbh I don’t use a lot of the sounds in it that regularly. So it’s perfect for vids cos I can use it to get a load of sounds. If I was serious about using univibe or tremolo I’d probably go for a pedal that just did that one thing well, but tbh I’m not a pedal snob so it really depends what sounds you want and how much you want to spend. If you want a variety of modulation then the MM4 is excellent value but I think for mike’s tones univibe and MXR phaser would do the job to and take up less room on a board! 🤘😀
Hey there, thanks for the awesome lesson!! Is the tab a bit off on Mike's second solo bit, around the 22:56 point? I figured it out from your fingers, but was a bit confusing at the start... Thanks for all your work on these songs!! :-)
Thanks man and yes, it is a typing TAB error! I put the 9th bend on the wrong line :-) If in doubt go with what i'm playing and you should be fine. Cheers for the kind words too mate!
@@LetsPlayAll Got the song down and have already moved to In Hiding... Didn't mean to sound like a clever pants... Really do appreciate all the tutorials!!!!
@@eyejacker haha i didn't take it that way at all mate! glad you're enjoying the lessons!
👍👍👍
I'm not going to sleep tonight. Thanks, THANKS a lot.
haha sorry man :-)
Can't thank you enough. Keep up the good work.
Transtaganu you’re welcome 🤘😎🤘
I'd love to know how you get that great sounds doing eddie's parts
You don't need too much tbh, tele with middle position (bridge and neck) and some light gain will get you in the ball park.
Beautiful guitar, what Telecaster model is it?
Fender US Tele Plus from the 90s!
Great vídeo , pelase make a vídeo of
NOTHING AS IT SEEMS
will get there eventually :-) on the list....
... And you sound pretty damn good too ; )
thanks man i do try and get the tone as close as i can!
Please play "Nothing at is seems" and explain what pedal Mike McCready uses during the recording of the song. I deeply admire you, you are my emotional quarantine hero. Greetings from Argentina.
G Ar it’s coming soon so fear not! I’ve already worked that one out. Thanks so much for the kind words too and hope you’re keeping safe in Argentina, we’ll get through this 😊🤘
