Super annoyed at myself that I never hit on the idea of the open A and D in the riff, despite always being able to hear that tell-tale ringing out. This lesson has shown me the light. Much appreciated 🙏
Always dug the hell outta' this song, but never took the time to learn it. Thanks Man, You did a 'Stand-Up' lesson on the correct way of how to approach this song! Rock On!
Dude, so glad I found this video! I've seen so many that have that main riff as 5E-5E-5A-5E-5Ah/o7A-E-E, but your's sound so much more accurate! Really interesting to hear the same technique that Eddie uses across multile songs, too!
Very very nice lesson and once again beautiful Stratocaster. The dark fingerboard looks very well.By the way although I prefer listening to punkrock bands like Rancid I consider Pearl Jam the best rock n' roll (in general) band of the last 30 years but of course it's just an opinion.
Hey Matt. I’m not a stalker... honest. But I have the very similar (if not the same) Vox Mini 3 G2 practice amp. Give me another 20 years or so and I’ll be just as good with it. Great little bit of kit. Thanks again for the lesson, brill as always. Take care.
You sure about the tab Mike? Instead of 5-0-0 (a-a-d) I tend to play 5-5 (first string) and 7 (2nd string) which is a-a-e, at the modulation I play 7-7 (1st string) and 9 (2nd string) which is b-b-fis. Hope this makes any sense but it sounds better that way to me. Or just forget what I wrote and thanks for the upload again mate 😉👍🏻
You can play it a number of ways but Eddie tends to keep things simple and I hear the notes ringing out more, which you can’t do playing it 5-5 1st string and 7th fret 2nd string. I also hear the slight dissonance when he moves to the 7th fret. Like I say though feel free to play it anyway you like 🤘😀🤘
Just checking this one... I got the notes right... but fuck me used to make hard work of the riff when I was young... all down picked without the open strings like I was playing master of fucking puppets. So much easier alternate picked like this.
It's refreshing to find a Brit that has a love for grunge music.
This guy absolutely NAILED the tone.
@@tomperri3693 why thank you 🤘😊
Genius analysis of the way he plays. I have seen Eddie play it this way during a live show...that I saw on tv..
Mariano Abundiz thanks Mariano 😊🤘
Awesome, man! RVM is arguably my favorite Pearl Jam song, been waiting for this for a long time!
Austin Hayes you’re welcome Austin!
Are you

Yeah, I play it the way you do, BeeCee.

You're probably right. Thanks for the video!
Matthew Klein you’re welcome mate! 🤘
As long as we have fun doing it guys 😆🤙🏼
I love that Mike's lead guitar on the chorus (at 9:40 on your video).
I just wander why he never plays it on live shows :(
Oscar Cueto Mike changes lots of his parts live, didn’t realise he doesn’t play that but live!
Is that the Wildwood Guitars ‘59 Sherwood Green Fender Thin-Skin Strat?
Jon's Record Rack it’s the AVRI ‘59 model in metallic sherwood green, awesome Strat 🤘
Nice. I had the WW version. I actually sold it last year, but it was my main gigging single coil for almost 5 years.
thanks man
No problem!
What’s the song played at 3:10?
Present tense, another pearl jam one
PLEASE GUITAR COVER ONLY PART EDDIE VEDDER

how much is your amp?
1200$
@@danielfernandez4786 я пожалуй воздержусь
The Victory head is about £800 I think and the practise amp about £80 so slight difference there but through headphones the £80 one sounds amazing 😉
Don't need any talking brother just play it....subbed anyway
Thanks for the sub Alan!
