During the privates auction and before the waterfall after the cheapest company is bought, you are allowed to take back your money IF you are over bid. I don’t believe this was mentioned. Great video!
Thank you! Actually it is mentioned at 10:08. If there's more than one bid on a private company the player with the lowest bid starts the final bidding on that private company. And there are two options - increase your bid or pass. When you pass, you take your money back.
Hello Branislav, Great channel. Is this game playable at all at a 2 player count or is it like most other 18xx games and play only well at 3+? Thanks. RJ
Thank you. :) It plays reasonably well at 2p, but both players will have 3 or even 4 companies and it may take a long time to think about the best possible actions with each company. So the game may take longer than usual.
Vtedy sa tieto vlaky v novej firme v tom OR použiť nedajú.
Rules on stock value markers aren't entirely correct here -- You place the token on the stock chart immediately when buying the president certificate, not when the company floats. Thus the stock value of a company can fall even before it floats.
Also, the rules about Emergency Money Raising are a bit unclear -- When emergency buying a train from the bank/bank pool, the cheapest option from BOTH options must be selected (for example, one cannot buy a $630 6T from bank or a $300 4T from bank pool if there's a $130 3T available in the bank pool). Furthermore, when buying a train from another company during emergency money raising, you cannot pay more than the face value of the train.
Oh, I had to re-read the rules for this one again, and unfortunately my understanding of that formulation was not correct. I thought I may (but I don't have to) buy the train from the bank pool, and if I do then it must be the cheapest one, but you're right - I must buy ANY cheapest train available. Thanks for the correction!
Excellent explanation as always
Wow. Thank you for your effort to prepare it. Excellent!
This was an excellent tutorial. It really helped me to see how everything fits together.

Great timing for this video! I played this a week ago and struggled so much with the rules! Thank you so much!!!!

Sweet money chips. Mind if I ask where’d you get them?
Found them here: pokershop.de/KINGS-QUEENS-BOARDGAME-CHIPS
@@nithrania-gameinanutshell thank you 🙂
Branislav, where did you find game? It's unavailable in Europe AFAIK. Tnx!
It's available in Europe from www.all-aboardgames.com/
Correct! All Aboard Games!
I bought several other titles there as well.
Oh great!

Anyway, great instructional video; Far and away the best effort to untangle introductory 18xx games on UA-cam so far.
True, apologies, I made a mistake in my script, and just followed the script.

Since it seems everybody recommends using poker chips, I feel like the game maker should just include those instead of paper money.
Well, that would probably make the game too expensive. Besides, everyone likes to use their own style of pokerchips.
