Griot's Garage Best of Show Detailer and Speed Shine Review

- In this video I am doing a review of Griot's Garage Best of Show Detailer and Speed Shine. Both products work amazing as exterior detailers. Speed Shine can be a detailer and a clay lubricant, Best of Show is not a clay lubricant.
Speed shine has been around for a long time but Best of Show is around a year old. I like both products alot and I hope that with this video you will be able to tell how these products are similar and also how they are different.

Nice review on the detailers
i just used both products recently on June 2024 for the first time ever in my life, i prefer the Best Of Show Detailer gives u that extra boost shine gloss for my black car, not sure about other car color paints, but if u have a black color glossy car i recommend it, but always first give ur car a wash first at a car wash machine before using it. peace out !

I always keep a bottle of Speed Shine and a few microfibers in my car in case of bird bombs on my paint. Great product and smells really good.

Just subbed. Very helpful review. I have a 17 Charger with Pitch Black paint. I can see buying both. But will by Speed Shine soon, as I don't have an easy way to hand wash my car.
WhatYouSee Oh man Chargers are one of my favorite cars! Speed Shine is a great Detailer for sure. If you want a true Waterless wash I would recommend Griot’s Spray on Carwash or Adam’s Polishes Waterless Wash. Also check out my video on Griot’s Rinseless Wash and Wax. That’s also a great product for washing your car without a hose. Thanks and welcome aboard!
FAB Automotive Detailing .. I'll see how far I can go between washes with the speed shine. Thanks for the quick response. My last car was a 2005 Magnum...Inferno Red. You can get away with dirt in red,, to a degree. BLACK, however, shows no mercy. 👊👊
WhatYouSee No problem. YesBlack is one of if not the hardest color to detail. Man I like Magnums also. 😃

tom martin it really is a great Detailer/clay lubricant and the smell is awesome too. Honestly though ever since Best of Show Detailer came out I don’t use Speed Shine that much other then when claying.
Nice vid thanks for the info. I love griot. I’m curious, if I use griots spray on car wash, do i follow up with speed shine? Or are they both performing the same objective? Thanks.
Alpen10 Griot’s is definitely my go to! You can follow it with speed shine or Best of Show Detailer to give extra gloss but you don’t have to.
You can spray the Speed Shine on a clean, wet car, helps to aid in drying the paint.
Does best of show detailer have anti-static proverties? Ive been using meguairs last touch detail spray and ive notice it ends up attracting dust
Griots is one of my favorite places to buy good products.
Speed Shine is an awesome versatile products, clay lube, detail spray or to remove light dust safely.
I just put it on my Tic Toc page to let others know about it, no secrets. 🙄
It has no wax but enhancers that makes the paint pop.

Best of show is probably the best stuff I've ever used.. I just purchased the speed shine a few hours ago... And you're correct with your video that it's more for slightly dirty cars.... It stays wet slightly longer but both of these have a nice smooth result, Both of these products are better than the chemical guys synthetic purple speed shine... So far I'm loving the best of show as the king. ... You can spray it on anything from windows paint and plastic with no residue.. Great stuff.
I completely agree! I have not found a better detailer yet then Best of Show. Speed shine is a long time favorite of mine and I still use it quite often as my clay lube and as a detailer but I seem to reach for Best of Show more often. Best of Show Spray wax is also an excellent product you should try if you haven't already.

BOS is even like Sonax BSD isn't it? With its fast flashing and polymer linking system, it can actually protect the paint? Like a light spray sealant? Good stuff.

It looks like you also have the Adams detail spray in your cabinet. How does that rate compared to the Speed Shine and Best of Show? I also saw one reviewer say that Speed Shine broke down the wax on his car. Have you ever experienced that issue? Great video.

Yall are right about griots having the best smelling products.
It makes for a more pleasurable washing experience.
MOBROOKS It’s not quite a waterless wash but works better on a slightly dirty car then Best of Show does. Yeah their products all smell amazing.
can either of these be used on chrome bumpers/trim? Or should a chrome only polisher be used?
Shawn D You can use both on chrome. They won’t clean oxidized chrome but dusty or a little dirty chrome will clean right up with these.
Does speed shine has protection? because when I use it with a clay bar it beads water. And bsd?
Speed shine has no protection and BOS Detailer has some protection. Water will bead on unprotected paint it just won’t be uniform beading. Hope this helps. Both products are great!

Genysmen runner I have not. I bought mine at Advance Auto parts. It’s really nice and it’s padded.

Antonio Martins Speed Shine because it serves 2 purposes.
If your car has beeb ceramic coated Speed shine will probably work better than best in show beczuse you don't want waxes and polymers on top of ceramic coating. Same with carwash products. Better to use a wash without waxes and polymers.
I agree 100%! I made this video before I ceramic coated the Journey.

Antonio Martins Because you can use it as a quick Detailer and lubricant for claying the paint. Plus it does a great job as a Detailer.
try to always wash & dry your vehicle before using these products, enough said,
john thompson I agree but unfortunately in Indiana it gets way to cold to wash a car outside. I only use these on the cars when they are a little dusty or after a rain. Other then that I don’t use them.
