Hell yeah - this is some down home Dooby action 😅 I so love the laid back vibes of Korea's rural areas! Very naturally beautiful but (usually) not overrun with tourists and commercialism.
@Blondi Muck do you live in Philly? Only asking since I do, for most of the year 🙂. But my time in Korea is the best 😁 (and yeah, it is for the most part a very safe place!)
Would love to see more videos like this! Doobie Explores Rural Korea. I love seeing these type of setting in korean dramas because of how slow paced and peaceful it is, like Hometown Cha Cha Cha, My Liberation Notes, and When the Camellia Blooms.
Absolutely. Would love to see her feature Damyang, Yeosu, Sokcho, or a number of other small cities/areas. There's a lot of beauty in Korea, and she'd be a great tour guide for us all 😁
The way you capture moments on camera is just phenomenal. Even the silent scenery of the village is what warmed up my heart ❤ I love your dynamic together and yejin seems like a really sweet and genuine person
All UA-camrs use body pics in their vlogs for enhancement. Maybe I shouldn’t mention it, but I especially appreciate the one seen at 15:09, Kevin’s, “Greek god pose”. Hot as hell! 🔥😝
You have found your zone of genius. I hope you get to fully enjoy that gift. You are excellent at content creation & having collaborators is serving your channel well⭐️. I lived in rural South Korea as a South African. And it was a life changing experience personally. As the solitude & serene environment was much needed to make life changing internal work possible. So watching this being back home in SA made me feel so nostalgic for that time in my life💛
Love this and Johnny I found on IG a year ago - love his energy: gentle personality, fermenting, cooking. So awesome to see ya'll there! Cheers from Arctic Alaska.
I love visiting rural areas. Even better when you have a local giving you a tour. Johnny and his mom are super cool. Thanks for the relaxing video! (If you live in the city, I think it’s important to spend breaks to visit nature. There’s a lot of benefits to it.)
Ive been following both Johnny n Tina for some time now, this vid is the collaboration we never asked for but truly needed 😊 I love how organic' both Ur contents are, including the literal sense 🤣
i feel similar to what you said about international travel > domestic! i have moved to england around 8 years ago and never really explored the country beyond london, where I settled - when the pandemic closed a lot of traveling doors and airports, I have started to explore around the country, the countryside, seaside, the old english villages, and it's beautiful and definitely worth the time. i think often we forget about how vast our countries are, much beyond the capitals and big cities - we forget until we leave or until something pushes us into turning our eyes towards it. happy exploring! can't wait to see more vlogs like these
Btw off topic..but I am from Nagaland India, and we held Hornbill festival every year during December (Winter season) we share our traditional foods and talk about our culture! If you would like to visit please do..We will be so happy to see you! You guys are always welcome!💕
My intuition says she will travel to India soon. Hope you get to share your culture and tradition. My intuition is often wrong but hopefully this time it's right 😆😆.
Being out there in the countryside makes you really appreciate where your food comes from. I grew up in the sticks and around farms but didn't come to appreciate them truly until a few years ago
I disagree, I want to see her fight that slumlord and win. You must have never had a bad landlord that took advantage of you because they can do whatever they want, well I want payback.
Been watching you for a while but only subscribed a few months ago. Finally commenting. Love this type of content. Please go more in depth with stories of the rural and unseen. =D
I was stationed in Busan for a few years back in the 80's, never did much in the cities, instead always riding a series of buses way out into the countryside and small villages where GI's NEVER went... now that was educational, beautiful and fun. Wanting to practice my reading/speaking Korean, that seldom worked out, everyone wanted to practice their English!
통영 is my favorite :) I'm from Finland and I've been to Korea many times for months at a time. Even though Seoul is exciting in its own way. The Korean country side is so beautiful and amazing. Most of my favourite food places in Korea are also found in smaller cities.
I think she literally does her own editing still. Man that's wild. But her artistic vision is hard to teach an editor. She has a way of producing vids thats hard to replicate

Yeah Geoje (and the Korean countryside in general) is pretty amazing. I have visited Geoje a few times since I've lived in Busan for 10 years. Did you have a chance to go to Windy Hill there? I really love taking day trips to places like Tongyeong, Namhae, Yeosu, Gyeongju... Seoul gets a lot of the attention but I think many of the hidden gems are down here... I am probably biased living here though hehe.
Would love to check out Geoje and Tongyeong, etc. Yeosu was also incredible when I got a chance to spend time there! Many of these places deserve more love in the UA-cam sphere 🙂
