I LOVE YOU Philippines!!!!!!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭My longest video yet so far?!?! Took me so long to edit but man I was drooling the entire time while I was watching my playback. I hope you enjoyed this video, make sure to like & sub to support this channel so I can continue to make videos like this! :-) LOVE YOU DOOBIES MWAH I MISSED Y"ALLS
Would have been better if she went to the nicer cities to promote the other side of the philippines that many people doesn't really see that often. This will keep the Philippine's image nothing but being a 3rd world country that South Korea will always look down upon.
I loooove that you didn't go to the usual posh places and instead went for the very basic and the most relatable to the Filipino masses. This is why I have always followed you. OMG you have out done yourself, Tinaaaaa. I remember the first video I saw of you was you cooking with your mom, some Filipino dish. Started following you then, you were still single and all hahaha then you moved to your own place then Kevin then Mija and the rest is history! Here you are now in our country. Never thought this day would come! Welcome and mabuhay 😁🖤 May I add I follow Jessica too and I was thrilled when I saw you two together 🙌🏻
uh isnt it the other way around? Philippines isn't really known for "posh" places. It's actually known for its shanty towns and rubbish streets. Would have been better if she went to the nicer cities to promote the other side of the philippines that many people doesn't really see that often.
@@duhduh14 "it's usually known for its shanty towns and rubbish streets"... Maybe it's just you that thought of the Philippines that way. Most folks either know nothing about the Philippines or know it as having beautiful beaches and super friendly people. Also, the caption clearly says "Filipino street food". Why the f would she go to fancy places when street food is right there with the masses. There are plenty of vloggers that already go to posh areas showing fancier Filipino food. This vlog ain't it.
What i love about dooby is that she’s honest if she likes it or not without offending anyone. She also explains the taste/compares it to something more known to most people; i appreciate that she educates her viewers about techniques used in cooking a certain dish, history of the dish as well as ingredients. Im a Filipino and grew up in the Philippines, but she’s tried more food and restaurants in manila more than i have. Haha. Thank you for trying Pinoy food.
Out of all the videos (about Filipino food) of international food content creators out there, this video is THE ULTIMATE Manila food guide that one can get. Thank you for visiting the Philippines as well as trying out everything with utmost respect and appreciation of our food! 🥹
I am always so impressed by your extensive research, and I love how you aren't afraid to mingle with the locals and are so respectful of the way they eat. Nothing against other vloggers, but the mark of a great and AUTHENTIC one is the way you make an effort to learn how the local food is meant to be eaten. And the way you describe the food! Huge fan here!
I’ve watched a lot of vlogs of foreigners making videos on Filipino streetfood, and yours, by far, is the most extensive! I don’t comment a lot but I felt the passion in our food and culture in this video and I wanted to say that you did amazing. I loved how you kept saying po and kain tayo in all the places you visit and it’s these small things that make you feel that someone really is passionate about learning a country’s culture. GREAT JOB!
WATCHED THE ENTIRE VIDEO AND im so grateful for abi, kath and gene, jessica lee, and erwan's tips for showing u the AUTHENTIC and REALEST FILIPINO FOOD EXPERIENCE!! love love this video!
Thank you for being so brave and respectful and appreciative of our food! You didn't even go to the posh places, and it's making me so emotional seeing you enjoy the most humble part of our cuisine. Thank you so much for handling this with care. This was awesome. Please come back when you can! Other regions have so much to offer, as well. 🥰
I love the “dog and cat cafe” part. I love stray dogs and cats and this is why I always tell people to “adopt not shop” pets because stray cats and dogs can also provide the same amount of love if not more.
YESSSS! I've never imagined that it's a dog and cat cafe until Dooby said it. HAHAHA. I am proud to say that I loved adopting strays, I have 12 at home!!! ❤
@@nicoletiana yes, i also noticed it but i think it's fine since the dog was just calm and i think the guy also did that because he noticed that dooby was filming and everyone's roaming around.
@@nicoletiana don’t worry I think that they were only trying to keep the dog from interrupting Ms. Tina. I think the dog is just fine. But yeah that got me worried for a bit.
Holy crap so given how it ended there's going to be more filipino content? Woohoo! Firstly, as a Filipino-American I'm the type who has only ventured into the malls to get food and rarely at the streets so the fact that you made a whole vid about Filipino street food really opened my eyes and now I genuinely would love to try all the spots you visited. Gotta say love the chemistry between you and Abi because Abi has that similar insight and knowledge about food like you. Of course I'm absolutely impressed with the great lengths you went to to make this such a rich and varied food journey (as you always do). The sense of respect for the culture was very evident and I love that about you. Much gratitude for making this content for the Filipino community and for those who have never experienced Filipino food. Lastly, those dessert drinks from Chunook's Kitchen had me salivating. I so want to try all of them. Looking forward to more Filipino content.
IM A FILIPINO BUT I LEARNED A LOOOOT FROM THIS VIDEO!! Amazing research, commentary and overall presentation of the video!! Thanks for showcasing the Philippines!
I thought it was a joke for a second. The length of this vlog is like a documentary vlog. Thank You for sharing your experience and thoughts about our food and culture. This made my day. I might go home next year by watching this. Tina finally visited the Philippines. The first video that I watched on your channel was the Adobo shorts like that was 2 years ago where you had 50,000 subscribers. 😭😭🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hi Doobies, love your long lasting vlog 😂❤ I’m from Hanoi, VN and it’s so pity that I couldn’t bump into you when you came over to visit on Tet holiday 😢btw, the crispy squash and shrimp of the Philippine’s look really nice, I just want to let you know that in Vietnam, we also have something similar, I would say an ordinary version of this dish with vegetables like potatoes, banana or corns. We call it “bánh rán khoai giòn” . I will leave the link so you can see. It’s very easy to make as well. I would love to see your review or a cooking show about them. Love you ❤ www.google.com.vn/search?client=safari&sca_esv=ba32b498f538259a&hl=en-gb&sxsrf=ACQVn09nrX8niwbn4XZ_116CuS4AHVUb_g:1712329342296&q=b%C3%A1nh+r%C3%A1n+khoai+chi%C3%AAn+gi%C3%B2n&uds=AMwkrPvmvCopE3yP0qCoXQTLm5SCxAbAX0Ux7KuLccWZr87NFt4UOBSnP06Qnk5rJALzGsUY2I8kUNMp44XyvMAcR49D0AFF2rKq-CJs84zmLyvfDaQJyGR1cbLz-dC_Lc1_M6_ryks6ik2c1p6VE_OXNJh1IamWm6wAaM2j1Fn7keQkA686lx9rSNjnj2_909USdva7O7WdKmb2Ch1vQPZLLL2Ob6pTlrqJqDGhyKbt54zl6X1ipOxSgcHVa7SU80bpPt8q95EdPGH3M1SjI-pzEOJFQcaQicbm4cz8qZ8nbZERVUFOMhsNPIet5XD3IxgEDKcuQeAP&udm=2&prmd=ivsnbtz&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiWib7xq6uFAxWJslYBHQIjAQUQtKgLegQIERAB&biw=414&bih=715&dpr=2
I love how you chose to showcase the local eateries/carinderias and hole-in-the-wall type of places in your vlog. They truly show the essence and soul of Filipino food culture. Maraming salamat, Tina! 🫶🏽
It's not like other TV shows talking about food in another country. Tina talks about the texture, taste, smell, how it was done, the choices of ingredients, etc. Really appreciate the extensive research she did and able to deliver it nicely.
Most wholesome streetfood crawl on youtube. The passion for food science is snazzy but relating it to its culture just makes it more wholesome - something a lot of vloggers neglect. I barely watch movies but I finished this vlog in two parts. Also because I found this vlog informative for our future philippines trip with someone who's never been to Asia. With this, I now know how to explain our food better lol. Thanks Tina
Bringing the heat from Manila. Being aquatinted with Filipinos in the workplace, but never realized the delicious dishes they enjoy. No one does cultural cuisine commentary like Tina, she’s the queen. 🫶🏻
i'm a fan for a really long time and i did not expect you to come here. i usually don't watch filipino food documentaries but bc i trust you when it comes to food, this made my filipino heart happy ♡ from deep down trying everything like the hierarchy of the food not just the 'famous' ones, doing a collab with abi and jessica lee which i'm both a fan of, and knowing that your family is with u, just wowed me. thank you for this :^) for your dedication and passion
Wow! That was brave and intense! To highlight Filipino food from their most ordinary sources is amazing. Your effort of going around Manila in four days is a lot of effort already. ❤🙌👌 It's not easy to go around under the sun's scorching heat. It is in itself a hella huge effort. After going to the islands, I'm sure you will keep coming back to the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤ And know that Filipinos will pay back kindness and support! Mabuhay!
really enjoyed this vlog and i feel kinda proud of you and of being Filipino! i really am awed by your courage in trying out new dishes because yes I am Filipino but I am a "Loser" like Jessica lol who doesn't eat adidas, chicken head and balut 😋 and that strong "stomach" for eating in the streets (hope your tummy is okay and also coz i think you reaaally ate a lot of dishes🤣). And I feel proud watching you devour Filipino dishes and enjoy it the way I also enjoyed those dishes!! ❤ i kept hoping that you enjoyed your trip in the Phils and now I saw how you and your family loved it, so Thank You!!! and hope you keep coming back ❤❤❤
as someone from the Philippines I loved this video so much bc it helps me discover stuff I wouldn't even have known about. I was so shocked when you went to Mang Tootz bc it's next to my university and it's definitely a uni staple. shows how much research and dedication this video took to finding the real hidden gems. I am so happy to have found your channel as I was looking for food to try in Singapore.
Absolutely mesmerizing video, Doobydobap! Watching you embark on this extreme Filipino street food challenge in Manila was not only entertaining but also incredibly inspiring. The way you embraced each unique and daring dish with such enthusiasm and honesty truly speaks volumes about your adventurous spirit and respect for the culinary culture. Your detailed insights and genuine reactions brought each food experience to life for us viewers, making us feel as though we were right there tasting everything alongside you. It's amazing to see someone approach such a challenge with kindness, bravery, and an open heart. Thank you for sharing this incredible 100-hour journey with us. Can't wait to see where your food adventures take you next!
wow! a 2-hour food vlog is such a dedication. Thank you, Tina for featuring your Filo Doobies' food. You're always welcome here. We have a lot of special and unique delicacies on each provinces too. Hope you can check it out when you come back.
You’re insane Dooby! Almost 2 hours of our street food? I haven’t watch it yet because it’s very long but I will make sure I do. You put so much time and effort you made us Filipinos feel special. And you set the bar so high I don’t think anyone will ever top it. Ever. Thanks so much and now time to watch, 10 minutes at a time :). Again, Tina you’re insanely beautiful 😊
i have NEVER seen Filipino Cuisine done the way you did. I find it really difficult to find content like this; wholesome, traditional, and simple. it's perfect. Next time, you should do boodle fights. I haven't been to one in SOOO LONG, but damn, it is GOOD and I miss it.
You’re more Filipino than a lot of Filipinos including myself hahaha (I really can’t eat balut and chicken head) I really enjoyed this video. I’m so happy seeing you eating and enjoying our food. Makes me hungry and wants to go home to the Philippines and eat the all the food that I missed eating for years now. Enjoy the rest of your stay! 😋🤤😭🇵🇭
Pro tip from a Filipino: especially with fried and grilled foods but pretty much valid with anything is asking for some vinegar (spiced or not) and some chilis! Mix with optional soy. The acidity and sourness cuts all the greasy or oily flavors and adds another umami flavor component. Highly recommend! Side note I’m surprised it’s your first time in the ph for some reason lol
waaahhh 1h50mins?? it's equivalent to a movie!! there's never a dull moment, i enjoyed every second of it!! i'm so glad you tried the dishes that are familiar to the masses and not the ones from bgc posh restaurants. and the extensive research, your effort in filming for 4 days in the scorching heat waahhh this... THIS is why you're one of my top fave food content creator!! i feel honored and glad that you enjoyed our food and your stay here!! lots of love from the phils!
OMG. IF you're going to Cebu, my hometown, these are the food you gotta try: 1. Lechon Baboy with Puso (Hanging Rice). There is Lechon Baka and Lechon Manok as well! 2. Larang (Tomato Fish Soup) 3. Chicharon Bulaklak (Fried Mesentery) 4. Ngohiong 5. Pochero 6. Fried Proventriculus (street food) 7. Cansi 8. Snow Sheen Resto (Bird's Nest Soup, Buttered Chicken with the orange sauce, Pancit Guisado). This is a very old restaurant, a bit hard to go to but every Cebuano at heart loves this place. 9. Pochero 10. Fried Bakasi 11. Balbacua (if you dare) Considered Desserts 😂: Bibingka Masi Binignit Pintos Puto Balanghoy Carenderia: Sari-Saring Gulay Utan Bisaya (Vegetable Soup) Chicken Halang-halang Those are the food not found on other regions. Btw, I enjoyed this video. It made me want to go home. Food does equate to home ❤ Also, you are so funny, and the jokes (even the subtle ones) you launch here and there is funny yet witty for me 😂😂😂😂
I remember watching the first adobo short, and just like any Filipino I was thrilled at being validated because not only is the dish our own, I really love to eat it. Over time the channel became less about cooking, but more about life around food... and I used to be young too so I felt real feelings as Tina go through young adulthood. I felt uncomfortable being let in her conflicts with her parents, and into her romance. But I was rewarded by being let into the business experiment of such a unique and ambitious restaurant. She and Kevin started Mija Seoul while I was starting my own business. The struggles they went through were too real, but like parasocial ghoul I felt like we were all in parallel foxholes, as if I had fraternity with them. I enjoyed the whole day of eating videos, around Korea and the world. What sets her apart from a lot of food creators when it comes to the actual food content is the entry level and casual food science that comes with the food description. It's not too indulgent (not that I dislike Alton-brown level food nerdiness) and just in keeping with the casualness but intentionality of the eating. It works. About the Filipino food content: (I'm so happy you brought your folks! I hope they enhoyed themselves too) There's nothing shanghainese about our lumpia I think. Abby should have educated you. I haven't been to Binondo in more than a year, so that Binondo Bites was wild to find out about. I have very few good experience eating adobo from restaurants or even carinderias, I'm sure they're good, but they're not grandma's. Like many, I prefere adobo with soy sauce, but the soy-free ones in Visayas, and the one cooked in coconut milk from Bicol are wonderful. The sisig you got from the Tutuban night market is the Manila style mall sisig that more discerning diners have begun to dislike. The one in Mang Tootz looks so much better. All purpose dipping sauce: 1 part soy sauce, 2 parts vinegar, 2 squeezed calamansi, siling labuyo (chillies, as many as you want) The food you had at the Palutuan is fire. It must be said that you really chose the realest parts of Manila to eat from. Can't wait for the Cebu leg of your trip.
I really wish I could watch this now but I'm saving this for when I get all my chores done. I can't believe we have almost 2 hours of content from a country that has some of the nicest people in the world. Tina, I'm so excited that I'm skipping my shower and getting on my apartment cleaning and clearing out right now. 🥰 Edit: I decided to take a bath and watched through until my battery was at 6% 😂 I absolutely loved it! How brave to eat the chicken embryo; I thought I was adventurous with food but I don't think I could eat that. You're amazing!🥰
Such a unique blog, Doobs! I was surprised by how you featured food stops that are not usually seen or heard on mainstream media (even those small street stalls even us Filipinos often overlook, heck yeah!) I was also utterly engaged with your willingness to try the most mundane of things and do them with pure joy and honesty. Everything about this video shows you’re an authentic foodie with the eagerness to explore new flavors and make them known by the world. New subscriber here!🫶🏼
48:00 the most mindblowing, life-changing sisig I've ever had was near Angeles City, Pampanga. The one you had looked alright, but there are so many sisigs out there it's a bit of a crap shoot. Going to Pampanga for Sisig is like going to Cebu for Lechon.
I'm really shookt with the amount of pork meat you ate in just a day? 😳 ✓Pork Sisig, ✓Porksilog ✓Pork Bbq, ✓Pork Sinigang ✓Lechon kawali ✓Pork Liempo, ✓Pork belly😯 It's concerning 😅 As a Filipino, I can't even afford to do that😅😆 Anyways I'm so glad to see my 2 fav Korean YT Vloggers together, tryin', enjoyin' our food culture 🥰 I'm so amazed 👏🏻 you're so brave for tryin' out our exotic foods like balut & so surprised coz dyk I can't even eat/ enjoy a chicken head here 😅 - a Filo picky eater here and just like u I also love our authentic desserts such as halo-halo, ube, leche flan & mango graham, & syempre sa drinks matic ang melon juice, pineapple juice, & buko juice.😋
Tina its such a joy that you have finally visited us here in the Philippines ❤ As a long time viewer thank you for doing such an amazing job on research and going through all those places and trying everything out you are incredible! As we say "walang arte" : no prejudice and no overly dramatic reactions just pure joy and beautiful descriptions of all the food you ate 🩷 You're incredible thank you for sharing our food to your audience 💞🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I love this content so much!! Mashallah u can feel the honesty, passion and her love for food…. Amazing… I like her reaction it’s sooo real, and the fact that she does research is mindblowing. Can’t believe I just finished watching an hour of food video. You are literally Filipino at heart. Fun thing I got hungry and crave something to eat at 2am 😂 #proudfilipinoNurse here in saudi
Love you two together...Jessica is the frontier for Koreans in featuring our culture and food and she's awesome! And I love how Tina captured every essence of our food and culture in her food adventure here in the country, she's getting really, really good with her food journalism...awesome work girls! Yes to Girl power!
I live in the uk and sadly there's not many opportunities to try other cuisines where I live (other than what my family likes to call 'white people chinese' lol) so i love watching these type of videos to see and learn more other cultures and foods. I'd love to try Filipino food even if I might not like it, just to able to try it. Keep up the amazing videos they're so entertaining☺️
Back in college, I used to eat in the OG Pares Mami House, Retiro. Dayum, i want to visit the place and eat there again. It's been 17 or 18 years the last time i ate there but the taste of the pares lingers on my tastebuds.
man...I miss my childhood in the PI (Imus, Cavite) in the mid 70' when my old man retired from the navy. as an 11-year-old, it was best years of my life and NOTHING better than the street food. Love this and thank you for sharing..
this is like the legit Filipino street food vlog of all Filipino street food vlogs ever. You went to the right places and met good people to introduce you to good street food places. Literally salivating now
Dooby, I've been following since Pandemic, thank you for coming to the Philippines- but Manila is not all of the Philippines. I hope you visit Asia's City of Love - Iloilo, Philippines next time. The city was awarded UNESCO City of Gastronomy. I'm sure you will enjoy the food there. Roxas City too Seafood Capital of the Ph. 💖🤗
speaking from experience, this did happen, went back home to PH, after 3 weeks in the PH and coming back to the US, I need to be on a diet for 3 months
I just finished watching this video straight for almost 2 hours. Everything was amazing! There's no portion is boring. I enjoyed all the food even just watching you guys eating. It makes me feel very proud of our Filipino food Asian cuisine. Salute for all your hardwork! 🎉❤
I've been putting off watching this bc it would make me homesick. Here I am watching it 5 months later. 😭 I'm homesick for my beautiful Philippines. Way to go Tina, loves that you weren't put off trying some of our foods. Brave Tina indeed 👏🏼❤️
FINALLY! I've been waiting for you to visit the Philippines!! 🇵🇭 but oh man, I am out of the country. You should go to TAGAYTAY on your next visit. So many good food places there + perfect view of Taal Volcano. Been a fan since 2021!! Love you, Dooby! I hope to see you in New York! 🫶
This is just one of if not the best food culture review I've seen. It's very authentic and captures a lot of aspects that most people miss. I love how Tina just tries everything and has a super wide range of flexibility in terms of new flavors and textures. This is as real as it gets, a top tier food documentary right here. Brilliant.
I’m glad that you’re VLOG appeared on my UA-cam, big shout out to you and Jessica. I also watch Jessica‘s channel, you are awesome for trying out all these Filipino foods and snacks. Some people that visits the Philippines and that’s a UA-cam VLOG is not daring enough and have all the experiences being in the Philippines like you. I’m so glad that I found your channel.
Wow! I might be late since this was posted 4 months ago, but this was incredible. I love how you enjoyed it and how you honestly share your opinion about the food's flavor profile, just amazing. I actually started watching this at 12 something and finished the whole video at 2 am in the morning. I am surprised that it was almost 2hrs long and I did not get bored at all, but now I'm hungry 🤤 and I can't do anything about this hunger aside from drinking water in order not to make any noise or my mother will probably give me an earful about not sleeping yet 😂. Well anyways kudos to you and your team for this one awesome video 👏👏
Something I'd like to recommend to foreigners visiting manila and their seafood, is avoid Dampa, it used to be good and reasonably priced, now it's a tourist trap aimed to suck every penny they can out of you.
happy this content is more than an hour but it's so packed with different food and places around Manila! something I like in the Philippines is that locals are really friendly, curious, and supportive of food vloggers and storytellers. I've been missing the Philippines and the food, this makes me want to go home!!!
That bulalohan at laong laan is always crowded at night. You came in at the right time when there are less people dining in. Bagnet of Ilocos Sisig of Pampanga Lomi of Batangas Lechon of Cebu Tuna of Davao Halal night market of Mindanao I hope you travel the whole Philippines.
Been waiting for this and super worth it! 1hr50 seems to be too short cuz I love every minute of the vlog. Thanks for your content and for actually getting into the true local ways of eating as a Filipino. I can see a lot of research and respect went along with this. Thanks for inspiring me to pursue as well that even being in the food science/technology field doesn’t mean you’re gonna be stuck in a lab or corporate factory but you can go to other places that food truly reaches out into (small businesses, cafe, R&D, street food, etc.) I wish you tried suman or kakanin, our sticky sweet rice desserts huhu! Come back if you can!
I really appreciate this one, Tina. I'm so proud of Filipino food and I appreciate that you showed this side of Filipino food, what the masses eat. You showed what common people eat in the city and not some ultra fancy restaurants in the city. I feel like this is the true identity of Filipino food more than the trendy, pricey ones in the CBDs and fancy malls. Thank you for doing this and I'm so glad you enjoyed our food.
Love this video! I watched the whole 2 hours and it made me miss home so much! This was so entertaining. Different regions in the Philippines have varying street foods. Compared to the other islands, Manila is surrounded by more land so most of the dishes are pork, beef, and chicken based. In the smaller islands most of the dishes are centered on seafood. My little island is one of them. Also, Bangus is Milkfish, not Mackarel. :)
I can perfectly say that your taste buds suit Filipino cuisine. Hope you can visit again and try other authentic dishes here in PH. I got overjoyed because you also like sour food and you explained how I explain to people why I love sour food more than other tastes. Hope to see more of your content.
you’re the best food content creator that have ever visited our country. we love youuuu so much. we deeply appreciated how you carefully represented our food culture in your channel. the details and all✨you are really the foodie queen👑🇵🇭🤍
Thank you po Dooby for coming and experiencing our street foods. You are my favorite food vlogger because you are super authentic. You do research and your reviews are trustworthy and relatable. You engage all senses while eating. And that makes us all crave for the food. I love the collaborations you did in this video. Keep it up. Love from 🇵🇭
A lot of Indians are disgusting and the men there probably would just harass her. She would need a high level of non Indian security just for her to be protected. Plus the hygiene is just effortlessly absent. So she will not go there for the time being.
Been watching dooby for a long time. I rarely put a comment on videos but I really appreciate your effort, passion and love for your craft. This is an amaaaazing and extensive Filipino food exploration "documentary" honestly 💯 ❤.
Anyways, what I will say in english is Filipino food looks danm good! Wish I could try it but there are non filipino inmigrants in my country as japanese or koreans.
❤❤Thank you for visiting Philippines and putting your heart into giving your honest reviews in every dish you’ve tried! Kudos to Kevin as well. My husband is Danish too, He’s a huge fan of sinigang but the Filipino food he doesn’t like are Balut and Bagoong and the cartilage inside the pork sisig 😅😂
WARNING!!! For foreigners who are planning to go to Dampa, don’t keep on saying yes to all vendors-they are quite aggressive and they charge TOO much. Learn to haggle and if you know how to pick a fresh seafood, better choose for yourself. Even picking the restaurants, the agents outside are too aggressive because it’s a tight competition. Especially if you’re introvert, save energy before coming to this area. But if you’re on a budget, you can try other local restaurants outside this area. Almost same food anyway. Dampa is overrated and overpriced, nothing is special.
@@j134679 Yes, definitely a not place to recommend tbh especially for those on a budget traveling. There are more fairly priced and decent restaurants with delicious food than Dampa. I even encountered not so fresh fish in my meal and my mom wasn’t happy with it. For those reading this, I repeat, as a local, I do not recommend it.
When God created the world, he made sure the Philippines will have the best of everything. This video I considered right on top. It has the best gastronomical goodness! Yummy yum yum 🌴🏄♀️🌴🏄♀️🌴🏄♀️
I love how you eat every food and how you describe them. I am so proud that you tried even the karinderyas out there. No arte, just pure love for the food. Thank you also to mama dooby and papa dooby, and also to Kevin.
You're more Filipino than I am! I felt ashamed that I hadnt tried the majority of the dishes you ate. This vlog made me appreciate Filipino cuisine even more, and I want to visit the restaurants you mentioned to try them all! :)
Thank you Tina for all your time and effort that you put in your videos. It’s really 😚🤌 I hope that you enjoyed your stay here!
DOOBY COME BACK SOON! I know you're a Filipino in your past life :))
Salamat Tina🎉
finally, the feeling is mutual, tina 😌✨️
Hope you like ur stay in 🇵🇭! Mahal ka namin, Tina! I'm smiling while watching thisss 😍Aaah, you really melt our hearts! 🧡
You are the real FOODIE QUEEN! 👑 I love how this video is as long as a whole movie 🥹
Jessica you’re my queen period
Brace yourself Tina for rapid influx of your subscribers and followers😅 🇵🇭
Your chemistry was unexpected and topnotch! Such cute sisterly interactions hihi❤
Such a ghetto foodtrip in Manila resulting in endless diahrrea. Very disappointing. And the co-host Jessica Lee is so CRINGE.
Thank you for introducing us with Tina.
This is the most authentic vlog on filipino street food... No bgc or classy resto. Good job.
Trueeee ❤
i agree!!!
Agree!!!!! I'm so happy!!
Right! It literally shows how our streets work on a normal day.
Would have been better if she went to the nicer cities to promote the other side of the philippines that many people doesn't really see that often. This will keep the Philippine's image nothing but being a 3rd world country that South Korea will always look down upon.

May I add I follow Jessica too and I was thrilled when I saw you two together 🙌🏻
uh isnt it the other way around? Philippines isn't really known for "posh" places. It's actually known for its shanty towns and rubbish streets. Would have been better if she went to the nicer cities to promote the other side of the philippines that many people doesn't really see that often.
what usual posh places? most content made about the philipines or south east asia in general is on the cheap street food
@@duhduh14 "it's usually known for its shanty towns and rubbish streets"... Maybe it's just you that thought of the Philippines that way. @@jolp9799she probably meant the fancier restaurants in fancier areas.
When locals get ecstatic you know she has the cultural pulse, as she did in the Philippines.
🔥💗
GREAT JOB!
WATCHED THE ENTIRE VIDEO AND im so grateful for abi, kath and gene, jessica lee, and erwan's tips for showing u the AUTHENTIC and REALEST FILIPINO FOOD EXPERIENCE!! love love this video!
almost two hours?!? no wonder it took you a long time to edit. you did well dooby!!🫶🏻
did you see how that guy grabbed that dog? omg... that scared me, wtf was that about?
@@nicoletiana yes, i also noticed it but i think it's fine since the dog was just calm and i think the guy also did that because he noticed that dooby was filming and everyone's roaming around.
@@momentsofgrace that is quite a lot of joy that you have there. Thank you for saving those angels.
I'm also Filipino white American but I mainly eat street foods in the slums some of the best tasting food be those small little eateries.

Love you ❤

a 2 hour vlog??? ill prepare a popcorn for this one 🍿🎬

i kept hoping that you enjoyed your trip in the Phils and now I saw how you and your family loved it, so Thank You!!! and hope you keep coming back ❤❤❤
as someone from the Philippines I loved this video so much bc it helps me discover stuff I wouldn't even have known about.
Makes me hungry and wants to go home to the Philippines and eat the all the food that I missed eating for years now. Enjoy the rest of your stay! 😋🤤😭🇵🇭
i have been waiting my whole life for this
Pro tip from a Filipino: especially with fried and grilled foods but pretty much valid with anything is asking for some vinegar (spiced or not) and some chilis! Mix with optional soy. The acidity and sourness cuts all the greasy or oily flavors and adds another umami flavor component. Highly recommend! Side note I’m surprised it’s your first time in the ph for some reason lol
Yes with vinegar!!! Especially for tapsilog.
Especially the liempo one. The skin is hard to bite into but once you dip it in vinegar sauce it's just the crunchiest bite of pork.
waaahhh 1h50mins?? it's equivalent to a movie!! there's never a dull moment, i enjoyed every second of it!! i'm so glad you tried the dishes that are familiar to the masses and not the ones from bgc posh restaurants. and the extensive research, your effort in filming for 4 days in the scorching heat waahhh this... THIS is why you're one of my top fave food content creator!! i feel honored and glad that you enjoyed our food and your stay here!! lots of love from the phils!
OMG. IF you're going to Cebu, my hometown, these are the food you gotta try:
1. Lechon Baboy with Puso (Hanging Rice). There is Lechon Baka and Lechon Manok as well!
2. Larang (Tomato Fish Soup)
3. Chicharon Bulaklak (Fried Mesentery)
4. Ngohiong
5. Pochero
6. Fried Proventriculus (street food)
7. Cansi
8. Snow Sheen Resto (Bird's Nest Soup, Buttered Chicken with the orange sauce, Pancit Guisado). This is a very old restaurant, a bit hard to go to but every Cebuano at heart loves this place.
9. Pochero
10. Fried Bakasi
11. Balbacua (if you dare)
Considered Desserts 😂:
Bibingka
Masi
Binignit
Pintos
Puto Balanghoy
Carenderia:
Sari-Saring Gulay
Utan Bisaya (Vegetable Soup)
Chicken Halang-halang
Those are the food not found on other regions.
Btw, I enjoyed this video. It made me want to go home. Food does equate to home ❤
Also, you are so funny, and the jokes (even the subtle ones) you launch here and there is funny yet witty for me 😂😂😂😂
Wow! What a list
FINALLYYYYYY!!! HELLO FROM THE 🇵🇭 PLS COME BACKKK
It works.
About the Filipino food content:
(I'm so happy you brought your folks! I hope they enhoyed themselves too)
There's nothing shanghainese about our lumpia I think.
All purpose dipping sauce: 1 part soy sauce, 2 parts vinegar, 2 squeezed calamansi, siling labuyo (chillies, as many as you want)
The food you had at the Palutuan is fire.

48:00 the most mindblowing, life-changing sisig I've ever had was near Angeles City, Pampanga. The one you had looked alright, but there are so many sisigs out there it's a bit of a crap shoot. Going to Pampanga for Sisig is like going to Cebu for Lechon.

Absolute bliss 🤌
Hope when you come back to the Philippines, I would like meet you and have a photo with you. 😊😊

Yep. Most seafood near the coasts aside from supermarket seafood sections are fresh anyway so it really isn't that special.
Filipinos influenced Hawaiian cuisine because there were mass migrations of Filipinos to Hawaii. It's not the other way around.

I love how you eat every food and how you describe them. I am so proud that you tried even the karinderyas out there. No arte, just pure love for the food. Thank you also to mama dooby and papa dooby, and also to Kevin.
