Mr. Baucham had taught me so much the past several months. During the shut down, I’d walk my granddaughter in her stroller, put in my ear buds, play something by VB, and soak in what he’d say. Thank you for having this good man on your podcast!

Not only is he very biblically wise but he knows alot about history and trends and patterns in our history that we are unfortunately doomed to repeat with the direction we are heading.
One of my favorite VB moments is his unapologetic and biblical response to why women cannot be preachers

Allie, for a long time I have been appreciative of the fact that both you and Voddie discuss the Bible’s teachings AND our current political climate. That’s absolutely necessary, but I’ve heard few people bridging that gap. We Bible studying Christians can’t just be theological eggheads, stuck in our bubble, nor are we called to be. As divisively as it can land, we have to relate the Bible to the political climate we live in. We Christians must speak to our nation’s circumstances, not just study and discuss spiritual matters in an isolated way. So thank you for taking all the heat you have taken from people for doing that. Satan wants us Christians to be ineffective and insular, so he can wreak havoc on the world unopposed. But we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth, and we must continue to be those things. (Matt 5:13-14)

    Great interview. I like Voddie.
In John MacArthur’s book “Slave”, he addresses the issue that the Bible says we Christians are all Christ’s slaves. He goes through how and why English translations of the Bible almost endlessly mistranslate the Greek word for “slave”, δουλος (pronounced “doulos”) (Strong’s Greek word 1401) as “bondservant” or other softer terms, because of the political incorrectness and sensitive nature of the true meaning of δουλος, which is “slave”. They thought the Bible’s concept of slavery to Christ was too much for English readers, so they mistranslated it on purpose.
Paul makes clear in 1 Cor 6:20; 7:21-24 that all Christians are slaves to Christ, purchased by Him, including those of us who are free from earthly slavery-and that all of us have a freedom (from sin) in Christ, even those of us who are currently earthly slaves. He says earthly slaves should take opportunities for freedom if they are given, but that the main slavery they ought to focus on is their slavery to Christ. As Jesus Himself said, we should never use the word “Lord” lightly when speaking if Him (Lk 6:46). “Lord” means Master, and we must obey Him as such. He’s the best and most loving master anyone could ever have, but we do owe Him absolute obedience.
Here’s a link to John MacArthur’s sermon (including transcription) on our biblical slavery to Christ, in which he thoroughly discusses that translation issue : www.gty.org/library/sermons-library/80-321/slaves-for-christ.

Great! I'm glad I finally listened to this. Good to hear multiple times the sweet truths and especially the fact that on the issue of any sin, discrimination, segregation, racism, call it whatever name, we should begin from the heart. That beginning point puts us all on the same platform, where we are equally sinners, equally having a heart that in it is the sin of discrimination, segregation, racism, hatred, vengeance etc. That starting point is what we need today. From there, we can seek the God of love and reconciliation to help build the bridges that is lacking between us and also between us as Christians and the rest of the unsaved any and everywhere.

This makes me sad. People who want to be comfortable with their complacency on issues such as racism, search out views like this to make them feel better. The church was deeply involved in racism and their answer to reconciliation is "Jesus already did it". Now instead of activly pursuing reconciliation they washed their hands of it like they did when lynchings were happening.

America is a young country with a lot of growing up to do. That being said, you would think individuals who are supposed to be leaders make sure that America does not falter from their mission statement. America's mission statement is the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and even the Ten commandments, basically the founding principles of America. And when you deviate from those principles to the point of hypocrisy at times, through our growing periods, you hope that we will learn from our past histories and of other countries that came before us.
But it is true, a house divided will not stand. So when you have leaders like Voddie, Candice, and others who understand this, you hope and pray that others will follow and not dwell on the past, but learn from it, and strive for a better tomorrow for everyone. 🛌☕📖🙏🇺🇸⏳🌎

I liked how either it was Voddie or another speaker who said, "If there is oppression going on, it is because God has allowed it." The concept of God being in control apparently flies right out of the window when it comes to these social justice issues. I believe that there was a reason why those African Americans were enslaved and only God truly knows the reasons behind why He allowed for that to happen. I do believe they are the descendants of Judah who were receiving punishment for crucifying the Messiah, courtesy of the curse put on them by their ancestors after Pilate washed his hands off Messiah's blood. And also, how a lot of Deutoronomy 28 has been fulfilled to this group and other groups of the Hebrew Nation. Anyways, not my point. God also put Israel under oppression in Babylon and Assyria. He allowed for Egypt to oppress Israel and also for the Romans to also oppression the children of Israel. So God is in control of everything. Even the lives of Gentiles are controlled by the authority God has over His creation. I mean if He could do it to His own people, what more to Gentiles?
So I totally agree with Voddie. This SJM is very unbiblical and it exalts sin of man against man, higher than sin over a just and holy God. What black people need is not reparations, but the Gospel. What white people need is not to learn how not to be a racist, but the Gospel. In the Gospel, all these issues are solved and we have more understanding of our faults against God and against each other. Thanks Allie for this discussion. We do disagree on some things like the foundation of America and all that but on the Social Justice nonsense going on, I agree with you and plenty of your listeners as well. Thanks for this channel. Beautiful work you are doing.

James White next? It would be great if you interview people from other denominations as well on this issue, because this issue is infesting many traditional Christian communities. To name a couple, Fr. Tryphon, Abbot of All-Merciful Saviour Monastery (Orthodox) and Bishop Barron (Catholic) both struggle with these questions and have often been attacked by the Woke. Just a thought.

How to deconstruct critical theory / social justice (Marxist) movement
    1. Teach biblical theology (doctrine about God with doctrine particularlyabout each Person of the Godhead)
    2. Teach biblical anthropology (doctrine about mankind)
    3. Teach biblical eschatology (doctrine of the close of world history within the temporal age and more extensive, the all-encompassing pervasiveness of God's sovereignty and providence throughout all of history rather than the centrism of human pursuits and conflicts)
    4. Teach biblical ecclesiology (doctrine of the church / body of the Lord Jesus Christ)
    5. Shed the spotlight on valid history and analyze it rightly while opposing false historical narrative
    6. If and WHEN all of that fails to be sufficient to persuade people to the truth due to the domination of the sin nature over the will and intellect of spiritually dead sinners, then persistently, clearly, extensively and lovingly preach the Gospel, which alone is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believe, first the Jew and also the Gentile. It's all about rightly identifying the enemy's stratagem and using the right, God-perscribed tools / weapons to defend ourselves and attack back in love and for the honor and glory of our King!

I believe most Christians have no idea what we are facing. I have had experience with other Christians who will side with CRT and defend this crazy thinking. It seems they are being spoon fed this idea and just accept it because they want to display the fruits of the Spirit but so not research what’s really behind the CRT and socialism. I have first hand dealt with this and another Christian and it was definitely a tough battle (her, on he CRT side and me not). She got so angry pushy and belligerent that I had to walk away from that relationship which makes me sad. She was adamant. Thank you Voddie for giving us some tools because I didn’t know what was happening.

God doesn't ask us to repent of others' sins-- He asks us to repent of our own and to go and sin no more! So, what does that mean for us? Let's ask ourselves where the church could be potentially doing the same thing! *cough cough abortion* The church of the past may have been apathetic about racial problems. We can't change that. What we can change is making sure we don't continue the sins of our fathers and repent for the ways we've done the same things in other areas, like in ignoring the mass slaughter of babies, and not continue this cycle of apathy. Stand up against culture. Speak for the voiceless. Don't let devaluing of human life happen anywhere!!

Christians need to stop suppressing truth for fear of being labeled a racist. Jesus spoke truth and was labeled a blasphemer.
Mark 2:5-7 5 And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking it over in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God alone?”
John 10:31-33 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus replied to them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “We are not stoning You for a good work, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”

Many blacks owned slaves in the US as well. Please read the book "Black Slave Owners," by Larry Koger. There were also a lot of white slaves, the word "slave" comes from "Slavs" in Europe. There was a lot of slave trading between Europe and the middle east and Northern Africa, so much so, that it's said that there was a noticeable difference in the color of the people in those regions because of all the slave trading. People need to get educated and learn from the past and stop using the past as a weapon. As Christians, we need to focus on Jesus, not this Social Justice nonsense.

She does both. Also, women are supposed to instruct other women in wisdom, so since her target audience IS younger women. It's a non-issue. If you're a man and you're watching this, and you have a problem with the fact that you are gleaning instruction from her, that's not her fault, it's yours.
Allie herself does not support female pastors or elders, and it is basically her mission to witness to women and let them know that being a stay-at-at-home mother is something to aspire to, not be ashamed of, as the world would tell us. There are a lot of us women who don't have any other women in their lives who support or encourage biblical womanhood, so I for one appreciate that there are people like Allie on UA-cam and other platforms who take the time to encourage me in my pursuit of mother-hood and Godly womanhood.

Disingenuous denial, as usual. Brother Voddie up-plays his heroic fight against the boogeyman BLM/CRT. Sister Allie Beth cheerleads, nodding with gravitas and hair stroking at sayings like, "Frankly the Church has a problem with masculinity."
No problem with racism. None. People of God, google the three types of denial:
    1. simple denial--there's not a problem
    2. minimization--there's a problem but it's not that bad
    3. table turning, projection--there's a problem but it's YOUR problem

    • @Keesha_Hardy
      @Keesha_Hardy 3 роки тому +1

      How is BLM/CRT a boogeyman?
How do they, Voddie and Allie, not have a problem with racism?
Can you bring up any specific situations of Voddie and Allie displaying “simple denial”, “minimization”, or “table turning/projection”?

    • @duncescotus2342
      @duncescotus2342 3 роки тому

@@Keesha_Hardy No. Not really, but it's more subtle when Christians are involved.
      Here's what I see:
      1. A lot of echo-chambering. The circuit. Allie Beth pre-approves brother Voddie, and he preaches to the choir yet again. Why not interview a pro-BLM preacher, and get the other side to speak for themselves?
      2. The SBC history is de-facto AND de-jure racist, historically speaking. They exist solely because of the split in the Baptist churches before the Civil War over the slavery issue. Obviously, the Southerners sided with slavery. They became the SBC.
      3. Simple denial, would be for example, Voddie saying, "There is nothing in the SBC that is racist..." This isn't really denial, but it's grossly disingenuous. What he means is, "There's nothing TODAY in the SBC that's racist." He knows the history well.
IF he actually BELIEVED what he's selling us, he would be in denial. He knows better. so...
      4. Minimization--That's the downplaying of the severity of the social ills that still exist, and the constant appeal to the individual's salvation as the answer, and suggesting that our hands are tied, socially speaking--All we can do is preach the Gospel and hope that people's hearts are changed. Again, grossly disingenuous.
Voddie preaches constantly on political themes which don't require the blood of Christ AT ALL to believe. Ben Shapiro would do as well. Victor Davis Hanson, Thomas Sowell, and countless other voices on the right preach the same things to Amens. None of them are "washed in the blood" Gospel ministers.
There's a minimization of the SOCIAL responsibility toward one's brother, especially the poor that is being neglected. The applicable parts of the New Testament are downplayed.
      Again, it may be subtle.
      5. I maintain, that BLM/CRT are based on absolutely VALID grievances.* Historically, there's just no question.
That America WAS in the past systemically racist is academic-- everyone knows about slavery, reconstruction, Jim Crow, the Klan, Dixiecrats, Civil Rights struggles, but I think there's no question that systemic racial effects are STILL being felt. This is a problem. EVEN IF racism is now gone, that after tremors continue.
      6.Here's a statistical example:
Black women are three times more likely to have a poor pregnancy outcome (to die in childbirth or lose the baby) than white women.
      Why?
Certainly there are many factors, but no expert rules out racism.
Another statistic--a Baltimore black man is more likely to end up incarcerated than graduate with a master's degree.
      Why?
      Another 2 statistics--
6 out 10 men incarcerated in Delaware are black.
Around 500 of them are doing life as "habitual offenders" often with marijuana possession charges providing one of the 3 felonies by which they're ineligible for parole.
Fun fact--Joe Biden was instrumental in getting such legislation passed in the 90s.
      Google:
"Delaware Inmates Serving Life Hope for End to Three Strikes Law"
      7. So the ONLY way to rule out racism in the face of this kind of data is to minimize it. You can't outright deny it, but you can point to other factors--
The failure of black fatherhood to provide mentorship.
The dissolution of the black family, resulting from failed liberal policies, such as Welfare, integration, or whatever.
This is how Thomas Sowell sells books and fills Hoover Institute lecture halls.
      8. For a preacher of the New Testament to be saying what brother Voddie is saying is not right. It's ok for Sowell. Both of these men are virile, strong, handsome, smart, educated, well spoken, dapper, charming, persuasive, and the list goes on.
It's kind of like the Rock telling us to just work out more.
But brother Voddie is a man of God, and there's a higher account.
      9. As for table turning. That's what the preaching against BLM actually is. The fact that there's Marxist ideology in the official BLM organization is used as a red herring. Most protesters couldn't care less for Marx. Don't know what he stood for, and just want justice. There are exceptions. Even still, the man of God has to know better. The Marxist deserves justice as much as the Capitalist.
Brother Voddie is so vehemently against CRT that it makes me wonder what he's hiding. I hestitate to go there, at the risk of AD-HOMing him, but why the tuxedos? Is it the P-Diddy effect, Christianized? Courvoisier for Christ? I think he's afraid, and I imagine like many people of color, secretly angry as hell, and over-achieving as a compensation. Just throwing that out there. It's a hunch.
For this, I have great compassion for him, and anyone who is the victim of injustice of ANY kind. I applaud their success, but I wonder if he doesn't feel like he has to be perfect, to be a hero in order to be "a man." These messages ARE being sent, vocally and visually. Allie Beth too projects perfection. She has spoken about this, and I think that's where she's at her best. And Voddie too--just tell us your story. It's valid.
      10. CRT is a boogey man. Because of neo-Marxism being a theoretical method, we are supposed to fear BLM-CRT. But again, the grievance* is valid, even if the theoretical methodology for a SOLUTION is not.
Why not hear the facts, and come up with our own Christian answers? Work for justice AND preach the Gospel. Love the poor. Share your resources.
And no one needs to be a communist to do it!
