O'Neal Element MX Boots: Review

- I've used the O'Neal Element motorcross boots for about 6 months on dirt track, logging roads and single track enduro. Overall, I think it's a good starter boot for a person who wants a decent boot for a good price of about $135. I'd buy it again and would encourage other people to buy it as well.
Positives: steel shank, steel toe cap, full double stitching, good ankle support, fit to size.
Negatives: cheap plastic buckles, not waterproof, no ankle pivot, steel toe cap rusts easily, toe is slippery and doesn't grip shift lever.

Good review. Mine should come in tomorrow. Thanks for all the heads up info to watch out for. Yes that fabric should be water proof. So idk if it the fabric or the seems that’s leaking. A water proofing spray might be worth a try. I have some and think I’ll test it on my old boots first. Hopefully my new ones don’t leak. Can’t have wet feet all day.
Did you get the boots? How did they work for you?
@@PrasaaraNa I did and love em! I agree the clasps could use a very small amount of grease or lube because they make a squeak when I close some of them. I hose the mud off while wearing them and no water has gotten through. I still have less then 10 hours on them. I haven’t walked in water. I haven’t had to tighten screws. I wash and dry them and keep inside so no rust. Mine are white and the shifter puts black marks on my left boot. That might stop if I powder coat my shifter. All in all I think they’re great for the price. I think it was $120-140 shipped.
Ive been riding a long time and its just my opinion but you should upgrade for your next pair of boots.
Yes, Good advice. I have been using Gaerne Fastback boots for the past year. Those Elements were starter boots.
@@PrasaaraNa Nice choice!👍
