Crazy ride, nice trail. I like that you don't get annoyed by the weather. I feel that just taking the conditions as they are is part of the whole enduro thing :)
Yeah, it's a love hate for sure. But at the end of the day, nothing beats a day of riding, even if you're soaked to the bone by the end. Appreciate you watching!
Appreciate it! Yeah it was hard to get a good understanding of range from others since everyone rides at a different pace and rider weight can be different.
I have a modded regular Surron light bee and loved it in the woods and on the trails but it's a toy sized bike best suited for small people or kids. I had a Storm bee on order but opted for a Beta Xtrainer and love it so much. I do still consider adding a ultra bee to the fleet at some point. It seems like a much better bang for the buck than the storm bee. My only gripe is on flowy singletrack I could only get 1.5 hours out of my battery on the sur ron light bee. Even after the 72 volt conversion the battery range didn't change since my battery is slightly larger than stock but it's still only 1.5 hours. We did take it once day to a motorcycle park and we struggled since it was slow hard enduro type of stuff and the battery on the sur ron for that stuff lasted almost 4 hours but we were stopped about half the time pulling our bikes up hills since it was really muddy. Overall sur rons are super fun and great wheelie bikes. I'd buy again. Thanks for making the content.
I bought my Ultra Bee July of 2023. Love the bike but you nailed it! Upgrading these bikes is ridiculously expensive. You'll have to spend $6,500 for the bike and then another $1,700 out the gate for rims, tires, handlebars, risers, new foot pegs, grips, skid plate, chain & sprocket. At that point you have $8,200 total invested. Sadly you're still not done! You'll need another $3,000 for the 81.4V battery and $1,200 on a controller. I should have just bought a Stark Varg. At the time of purchase i didn't have a clear understanding how much this bike was going to cost to set up. Dont get me wrong i love the bike, its WAY better than any gas bike.....its not even close. The only down side is the range. Once you upgrade the battery you get 50 - 70 miles on a trail ride in sport mode.
Personally I think that an expensive upgraded ultra bee is better than a varg for most people, because of the lighter weight. In all honesty I couldn't handle the power of the varg anyways
Easter washington riding single track is way better then over on the coast I can't stand being wet all day I rode over by you guys alot and it was just not fun always raining
@@zekd It's surprising your range is always so low. Lots of guys I see get 25-35 depending on the day. I'm just gonna get the big batteries from charged or a second set of stock ones used to swap at the truck half way through the day personally
@@anotherguywithaflyingcamer6193 yeah i think it has to do with my weight. With gear I’m around 230lbs so I think that’s a big factor into the loss of range.
Thanks for commenting on the range. I really wished I would have seen this before dropping $$$. I was hoping for 40 miles like some have suggested but there’s no way on a stock bike. Brothers power sports wouldn’t even believe me and they’re still trying to quote 50 miles range! You’re exactly right by saying it’s a toy and not a replacement for a gas bike. Guess I’m stuck with it now. If you see a guy waving a tow rope out in belfair that will be me.
I'm running Dunlop MX34 on the front and rear. Works OK for trail riding in these conditions. I will probably switch to a gummy tire next to see how well the bike does with gummy tires.
Yes, stock power right now. I still have gas bikes. I wanted to see what electric was like. Gas certainly has its place and electric is not a replacement for gas bikes. One day… maybe…
Ever watched a forest fire hit an area that was clear cut? I've gone and helped clear cut a forest when the fire was getting close to a town. Those clear cuts create natural fire breaks that make is so we can stop further spread. Not to mention lumber is one of our biggest economical exports
Not to hate but Yamaha XT250 is 5000 and will smoke that toy any day of the week and will ride all day and all night on one tank of gas, it's not that there not cool but they have nothing on real dirtbikes yet 18-20 miles of range isn't even enough to get me from my house to the start of the trales
Fun video! I live in the Pacific Northwest too. My Ultra Bee is set up same as yours. They're a blast in the tight steep woods we have here.
Nice, where abouts in the PNW?
@@zekdgot an ultra be myself that I charge off of solar in BC on Vancouver Island
220lbs on that bike?! Now it became really impressive

Nice ride good too see the range with bigger riders

The video quality is sweet ❤️🔥
Great trails, some areas def looks like rainforest lol 😅

Looks fun! Thanks for the video
Thanks Sara! Appreciate it.
Did he have to change his oil?
Wow. What a swim!!
Man, your buddy must have been frozen after all that swimming.
We were lucky that it was 55f degrees out. Any colder and we would of had to cut the ride short.
Come down to Jacksonville Oregon if you ever wanna ride ebikes
Got some sick trails down here the place is called John’s peak
That ultra bee is sick! Are you planning on doing a battery upgrade?
In the future, yes! I need more range.
How much range on aveage do you get in a charge? Or before it dips below 30%
Roughly 18mi riding trails. Mostly in sport mode the whole time.
What size sprocket, what kind of chain, and what tire pressure are you running?
54T, Niche X Ring (it sucks), and around 15psi. Im always adjusting based on the conditions. Can’t remember what it was in the video.

That would be plenty of range for me:) The Street legal version is here next month, time to sell the wr450👍
How long does battery last?
I'm getting about 20 miles riding single track with the way the bike is set up.
Should’ve got the Surron Storm It has better range bigger battery more power.
Too heavy!
Logging company in my states leave trail blocked after they’re done!!! Piss me off!!!
Bro fell in slow motion
Modern destruction of forests that should not be cut down

You haven’t ridden one yet. Range is a challenge, agreed. However, an xt250 is a joke comparatively in performance.
this makes no sense your videos are so good why do you only have 52 subs everyone sub NOW!
Appreciate it!
