Thank you for the beautiful Poncho pattern, also your video tutorial is wonderful and very helpful for someone beginning to crochet. I have started the pattern but the stitches are increasing at each corner and not looking anything like yours, can you advice please.
Hi there thank you! When you say stitches are increasing in the corners. They are meant to increase. Can you explain further.? So I can help You can slow the video in UA-cam if you need to see the actions slower. ❤
Babies would suck the tassels so no as the wool pulls apart .
Your tutorial is amazing..can you please do suggest me how many chain can I start for 4 years?
Thank you! If you are using same hook and yarn, 64 chains for a child. If using other yarn and different hook make a chain multiple of 8 or thats closest to approximately 18 inches. Hope thats helps xx
Hi there do you have a written pattern besides just the video to follow just wondering thank you for your help in advance
No, sorry. I don’t t have any written patterns. They are all from memory . I have been planning to put the pattern in description box. But I have many videos to do! I will get round to it . X
Hi, could I please clarify the multiples for this pattern. You say in the video that your starting chain is 54 and that it is multiples of 8 to make the poncho larger. 54 isn't divisible by 8, so I'm a little confused. Is the starting chain always 54, then add 8 each time for the next size up? Thanks
🙈 oh my goodness! Do apologise it’s a multiple of 6 not 8! I didn’t realise I was saying 8 . So 54 chains for 0-3 months. Adding 6 for the next size up is estimating really.
I suggest you have a look at any size guides online for the size you want. Look for the circumference for the head size for example a hat or headband . Then make a chain for that length. BUT make sure it’s divisible by 6. I do apologise.
Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I thought I was going mad trying to work the maths out 😂
It's a super cute poncho, and I'm looking forward to making it 😊

What a beautiful poncho 😊
Could you please advise me how much wool I would need to buy for the poncho to fit a 6-12 month old?
Thank you
Thank you. ❤. 2 balls of 100g DK yarn light no 3. That should cover it with a little left over . Can be maybe for flowers too?
Thank you 😊
How many rows for a 6 to 12 months please? Thanks for the video!
Hi. There isn’t a specific number of rows for the other sizes. Reason being some like a poncho to the elbows some to the wrist. I suggest measure the little one and do as many rows as you need minus one row for the bobbles on the end. There are measurements available online. Someone requested here how much yarn needed for 6-12 months earlier. If they have made it maybe they can advise how many rows they did?
Love the pattern. Just wish you would slow down on making your stitches. I wish could go that fast.
For 6 year old girl how many chains?
Measure your child’s head and then make a chain using the count to get nearest to the length you need . Then you can proceed from there.
X
On dear, the Poncho is working out correctly after all, I was measuring the wrong ends.
Ah bless you! It can happen. Any problems with anything please do let me know x
You said multiples of 8 and you did 54 which isn’t a multiple
Of 8 x can you clarify please.
I have clarified this in the comments section. It is multiples of 6
