You can put a piece of burning coal on a piece of aluminum foil, add a few drops of oil to it for smoke, and put it in the oven. It will add an authentic smoky taste to the fish or any other baked meat.
@@Ifyskitchen you're welcome. For even better smoky flavor, you can add a bit of moist sawdust to the coal. That's the way market women smoke panla fish. The sawdust has to be moist, otherwise it will burn up rather than smolder and smoke.
Truth. I studied food tech there is a protein chemical produce when the fish and smoke combined. I think its " Tocopherol " so we were thought that it us richer than ordinary fish.
I also wonder...haha gonna ask my parent, I've seen them eat it with ugali (corn fufu) or some people rehydrate it for soups I guess. I always run away cus I hate the smell lol
If you are African you know the value of this burnt looking fish. Our Nigerian native soups are not complete without it. Cost a lot to buy them EVEN back home
Throw what away? This burnt looking fish is liquid gold to a Nigerian woman. It gives a unique taste in our soups. Wish I could reach into the screen and move it into my kitchen.
@@venusmitchell7517Do you realize how disgusting some of your food looks to us Africans? But we understand we have cultural difference and accommodate the nasty smell of so called high end cheese etc. We don’t go about commenting on American food channels about this is disgusting and dat is horrible. We are taught by elders to be polite to strangers so I won’t watch an American cooking show on lasagne and say”its disgusting” because that how I really feel about lasagne. Silence is a virtue. Just move on quietly if you don’t like something, other people love.

What is the purpose of dried fish? I never understood that. How are you supposed to eat dry fish is it used for soups or something?
I also wonder...haha gonna ask my parent, I've seen them eat it with ugali (corn fufu) or some people rehydrate it for soups I guess. I always run away cus I hate the smell lol
How would this Buchymix air fryer cost please
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
GREAT 😅😅💪💪💪
Please can you WRITE out the ingredients added
Note the term " dehydrate"
You did not show the seasoning you put on fish.
Well done
I can honestly say I have never had maggots in my fish
This is baking and drying... very different process from smoking leading to a very different taste. It's like comparing roastbeef to suya.
Grilling
That way , then it’s not smoked fish😂😂
Does anyone know the name of that machine she is Using
❤❤❤
Wait, this cant be a cooking video since there isnt a pound of shredded cheese.
Yes
I never had black fish 🎣
Could you please show us the flesh of the smoked fish??? 😊😊
Great idea.
Good 👍👍🇬🇭
It’s not same as smoked fish. Just like grilling over real wood gives a different flavor
I thought the fish was burnt
What if you don’t have the buchymix air fryer? How do you achieve that dryness as well?
Normal oven
Oven on very very low heat.
Well said
Any air fryer brand works. You could also purchase a smoker as well.
So you know we don't joke with politicians and you are insulting them like that😅,3nde3 wo de3 s3 wom sa so wo mu aaa wom b3tete wonam😂
Looks so burnt I want to see how you will prepare this kind of fish
It’s dehydrated
If you've never seen smoked fish then this is a perfect response. Smoked fish the skin is black
it’s definitely not burnt. that’s like calling beef jerky burnt 🤦🏽♂️🇳🇬
I’m sure you’re not Nigerian or else you’d know better
