Flashing warning! I do show the scene where Frankenstein's Monster comes to life and the screen does flash for a few seconds during this screen. I show it twice and I'm sorry for not presenting a warning for anybody with light sensitivity!
as a child of the 70s and 80s, I could never find this game during it's release. I don't think I have ever seen it out in the wild. I have always wanted it! Played it through emulators over the decades, it definitely is one of the gems.
Great review, Jon! I 've collected Data Age games mostly because I liked their box designs. It's a rare thing to find a good Data Age game (from what I've read/watched), and I'm happy to know that this is a good one. I agree that the graphics look good.
I have a Frankenstein cart that is an actual Frankenstein head for the 2600. I mean it is not a cart shape. Just the face with the connectors. I bought 2 off e bay on a whim a couple years back. Got them from UK so I assume they are PAL. The 2600plus won't play them so I wonder if it is the same game. Ever seen the "cart"?
@@TheAtariNetwork yes! haven't re-purchased ATARIs since resrtting a collection n 2009. i gotta get that emulator running... i need a usb - db9 converter! i got an atari joystick i bought in 2014 for Columns3 on Genesis of all plattforms!

@@jwdurbin I found it locally once but it was in a second hand store in the 2000s. I honestly think it hit at the wrong time.

Good video! I remember this game! It is one of the better games from Data Age. I liked it!
One could argue that this game is better than the classic novel and that the ProGamer is better with words, than author Mary Shelley.
@@Jolt7800 I don't know about all that but I appreciate the kind words lol

Bragging about beating the game, but not showing you beating it until the last seconds? Nice buildup.
