Fun fact: the FLHK in the engine room is actually FLNK, or Flank Speed. It's effectively as fast as you can sail. Flank is dangerous though, because it over runs the engines and is able to force a ship into dry dock far sooner than just sailing at full.

The History Of The RMS Oyia:
She Was Delivered To Gillett Maritime Transport or G.M.T. In 1907. In 1907 She Entered Service From Dieppe-Newhaven-Dover. The Oyia Was Named After The Japanese Anime Oyia (1744-1821). From 1914 Until 1917 She Was Used As a Hospital Ship As The HMHS Oyia,During World War I. In 1917 She Was Used As a Troop Ship As The HMT Oyia. In 1918 She Was Returned To Gillett Maritime Transport or G.M.T. And Continuing Sailed As a Troop Ship Until 1920 After The Spanish Flu Pandemic. In 1921 She Was Returned Into Passenger Service. In 1934 The Company Announced Would Been The Oyia Leave The Fleet After Replacing By The New Ships. In June 1935 She Was Retired From Service And In July 1935 She Was Sold To British Scottish Hotel Museums Ltd. And Renamed HMS BEAGLE. In October 1935 She Was Used As a Cruise Ship For Troops And Floating Hotel In Glascow. In September 1939 World War II Starts And She Was Docked At Glascow. On October 1st 1939 She Was Bombed By The RAF And Sank. In April 1942 She Was Salvaged By Germans. In July 1944 The Ship Was Bombed Again By Allies. In September 1945 World War II Ended And The Ship Was Salvaged By The French And British. She Was Laid Up At Glascow Between 1945-1949. In 1948 She Was Sold To Aktoploiki Etairia Damakouli,Greece And Renamed OITA After Rebuilt Into a Passenger Ship,And Began Services From Piraeus In 1949. In 1951 She Was Sold To Asteri Naftiliaki And Renamed MOSXARISIA And Was Routed From Zakynthos-Piraeus. In 1956 She Was Routed From Piraeus-Aegina-Methana-Poros. In 1958 She Was Rebuilt With The New Funnel Extended And Renamed MOSXARISIA II. In 1964 She Was Routed From Rafina-Marmari-Karystos-Styra-Syros-Tinos. Under The Commander By Captain Dimitrios Spiridis Who's Bought The Ship In 1967 And Registed By Dimitrios Spiridis Ltd. During The Summer Months She Was Used As a Cruise Ship From Mykonos-Delos-Kusadasi Under The Name OURANOS. In 1970 She Was Sold To Sea Paradise,Greece And Used As a Cruise Ship In The Mediterranean And Renamed SEA VENTURE. In 1976 She Was Painted All Red And Renamed XRYSAVALANTOU. In 1979 She Was Laid Up At Elefsina,Greece. In 1981 She Was Renamed VALA. In November 1984 She Was Sold To Blue Aegean Cruises And Renamed AEGEAN ROCK. On March 20th 1985 During Rebuilding She Caught Fire In Perama,Greece And She Began a Little List Up To 20 Degrees To The Port Side. In August 1985 She Was Salvaged And Laid Up Again At Perama. In 1987 She Was Sold To Al Salam Hursit,Egypt And Renamed ALAKAZAM And Was Routed From Egypt-Saudi Arabia. In 1989 She Was Renamed AL SAUDI MOON 15. In 1991 She Was Renamed For The Last Time LOVING BOAT. In August 1997 She Had Mechanical Problems And Abandoned Outside Suez Canal With 234 Passengers. In September 2000 She Was Departed For Scrapping At Aliaga,Turkey.
