Another great video, pity you never got anything, I fished Horsburgh beat yesterday and caught a 11lb salmon on my first cast, my first salmon on a Salmon Fly Rod, lost a big one in one of the pools opposite where you were, there was some amount of salmon moving, You mentioned in one of your other videos that it took you 200 or 250 hours to catch your first salmon, I reckoned took me around that time to get mine too 😂😂
@CF_Fishing I mostly fish the Earn at Crieff, and never saw any salmon till the last week of the season, but none fancied my flies, it's nice to fish where there are actually fish, my confidence wasn't great after all the fishing I had done, hence me going to Tweed... for a confidence booster
Thanks 🙏 Well done mate, that sounds like a good day out! Shame about the lost one as well. Hahaha Fly fishing for salmon is definitely time consuming, no doubt about that lol
Great video Tam. Myself and Max fished eshiels for the first time on Saturday there. We saw loads. No takes. The odd nip. Incredible number of fish. Ghillie reckoned it needed a frost to switch them on. Very mild. Still we had a great day. Eshiels is the beat opposite in the 2nd part of your vid at Mill House.
Thanks, I’m glad you like the video. I was wondering what beats are across the water actually. It’s nice to see the fish jumping everywhere, it gives you little bit of hope I think haha. I’m glad you had a good day. Yes it seems like the fish is more likely to take the fly in cooler weather from some reason. Tight lines!

@richardpm38 wow well done. It took me 3years. From 2008 to 2011. Mind you I've fished mostly a wee spate river.
