I had the ultraboost for a while and that's from the 19's to the 21's and I can admit that those shoe last forever compared to most shoes. But overall performance for me was the downfall. it still l felt more of a at the gym shoe and to walk around in , I never felt comfortable going more than 3 miles. My Saucony/Brooks/ new balance/ Hoka just feel so much better to run in especially for long miles
I've been wearing Ultra Boost since the 1st one came out. My most recent pair was the 21' and in 2022 I started getting into running. The boost was good for a mile, but the more I advanced the more it seemed the shoe would want me feeling more. I've ran over 100 miles in them and the bottom of the shoe started to have missing pieces. It's a bit disappointing, but keep in mind I used to use these shoes for everything such as walking, casual wear, doing the law, gym. You name it. Anyways now I'm getting a focused running shoe and I'm super excited. It'll be nice to see what an actual running shoe feels like and to finally break away from the boost life.
They beefed up either the thickness or durometer so the 19/20 lasted way longer. Continental got added kind of haphazardly so it's hard to know exactly when it debuted in the series.
@@Drew.Whitcomb Could be a bit thicker on the 19, but I have 2.0 ultra boost in Onyx colorway and theyre continental. So 2.0 was around when they started and then they started putting it on 1.0 i models. My 1.0 doesnt have continental.
It’s lighter and the ankle has more support but the boost is harder. Definitly not a comfier shoe. I’ve tried on both the ultraboost 22 and light. Was contemplating what to buy both at discount with the 22 cheaper. I’m not too fussed on price but the 22 was just comfier. I got them instead. Boost light it shit
Adidas has been always been overpricing Ultraboost but I feel that there is a reason. People don't realise that most people would buy this shoe at a discounted price 6 months after the launching of the new ultraboost. Definitely an Adidas gimmicks to trick buyers to buy this shoe at a " bargain" price but actually the discount price is probably near the actual retail price. . Don't get me wrong, ultraboost is still a good shoe but the way Adidas trying to market ultraboost is rather deceiving.
@@alllllll1 the lugs are a bit less pronounced and grippy-er, same overall setup, still continental rubber, still torsion system. outsole only dramatically changed at 21.
@suspicionofdeceit8402 I own both and I’m looking at both right now in front of me. Minor differences as listed in above reply, but almost identical. Has been a nearly identical platform since the 2.0 switched to continental. Only significant changes were at 21.

I'd like to see a remake of the Ultraboost PB, with the new tpu and a smaller drop compared to the Ultraboost standard (aka with more foam in the forefoot area) and a lighter/more essential upper.
the 19 got me through double knee surgery. it was the only shoe soft enough for my recovery. i wore it for 2 years and got back to 1/2 marathon miles.
