At the beginning ,after I got my Ultraboost Light I found the upper too snug and a bit uncomfortable and it seem there was no cushioning in the forefoot area. The Ultraboost 22 had " more cushioning " on the forefoot area ! But I got used to the Ultraboost Light and now my pair is close to 350km of running ! I'm loving it more then my Gel-Nimbus 25 ! And it is on my top three shoes of the year for now . With the Asics Magic Speed 3 and the Mizuno Wave Sky 7 in my list . Anyways ,I would like to see the next Ultraboost in 2024 to have more stability with a larger LEP system ( similar of the Ultraboost 22) , a bit more Continental rubber for a better grip in the toe off and a less snug primeknit that don't need 100km or more to finaly stretch and adapt tonmy feet !
@powerfultoa7 The weight is about the same for my size 8.5 US with the Ultraboost Light and size 9 US with the Gel-Nimbus 25 . I don't have these shoes anymore ,but they are both on my top three shoes I have used in 2023 . The Ultraboost was more versatile to be able to do almost any kind of run, while the Gel-Nimbus 25 was usable only to run slow to very slow runs. If I had just one pair of shoes for running , that would be the Ultraboost Light ,that is also amazing for casual use and walking all day since it is more nimble and stable for being less having a lower to the ground middlesole. But the Gel-Nimbus 25 is the best high cushioning shoes of the year for me . The most comfortable, and that makes me want to try soon, the next version #26 . It beats ,in comfort and fun, in doing what it does best ( slow running) , other shoes I had, or still have, like the : Nike React X Infinity Run 4, Invincible 3 , Mizuno Wave Sky 7 ... If you don't mind a pair of shoes like the Gel-Nimbus 25 that is not versatile at all and if you try to run faster, you will get tired really fast then go with it. Super luxurious , comfortable, and actually last a very long time( also the outsole !) . I can't wait for the Gel-Nimbus 26. It is on my top 5 shoes I have to have in 2024 .
@@MiracleWarriors Very cool info, thanks for the detailed response. I run light for 30 minutes a day and I also would love a shoe that's durable and comfortable to wear daily when I'm out working as a photography lighting assistant. I think the Gel Nimbus 25 could suit me well if it isn't too heavy.
Always love watching Alan’s videos 🙌🏻 great review. I’m personally probably not going to pick them up for the drop alone, I like to stick to a 4-5mm or zero drop shoe but always love seeing what’s new
bought one last week. and it has nothing but great! especiallly for beginners I think, because it has this familiar feel to it and not so much new to the feel of the people who are just starting to run
I have to say after owning a pair of these, it officially gave me that running a bug. Looking for a new pair of running shoes to start my summer. Not sure if I should stick with these are move on a to a different pair of shoes.
Honestly after a week or so my ultraboost 22 upper formed to my foot and I don’t even have to tie them, they feel nothing like the typical ultraboost or Yeezy style knit upper l. If these are similar to the 22 the heel is locked in place really well so there’s barely any movement especially in comparison to other knit shoes. Just make sure to get a snug bit not tight fit

How does it compare with your Nimbus 25? Is it more comfortable and less heavy?

Finally a runner’s perspective 😊
A large amount of the heel foam actually is not under the feet but rather beside it
so that foam doesn't provide any cushioning

Fair. Running shoe preference is definitely a personal choice. Thanks so much for watching and for the kudos, Tyra!
It is super comfy to the point I was running slow it felt like every time I step I would fall into a memory form maybe I like the more hard rubber

Always great reviews, thank you Alan!
We're so glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty solid review! Especially your comments on the outsole pattern ❤
Why only 720 resolution?

I like the feel of the ultraboost sole, however I’m not a fan of the Adidas sock style uppers. I prefer a separate tongue.
Nothing wrong with that. Preferable colorway?
@@rei any color is fine, the sock style upper is a deal breaker.

I’m almost 100% he’s in Portland
Cool looking shoes but still far from asics nimbus 25 comfortness.
Your running technique is so trashhhh
An REI review of an REI product. I wonder what they will think???
they look like the spawn of a marriage between Crocs and Adidas: CrocAdidas. how is sizing?
