I pray to the Father in the name of the Son through the Holy Spirit.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Before I became a Christian I was born a Roman Catholic Italian which failed miserably. I love being a Christian I love the Trinity and how works. It took me a long time as a Christian and not as long as I'm making it sound because I am going into my sixth year of being a Christian re-baptized on my own accord in 2015. And that's the day I gave my life and surrender to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior my father and Holy Spirit who lives through me. Although I did not understand this right away coming from a Catholic background. I did not participate in Catholic Church often I was not raised in the Catholic Church however being Italian in a big family at one time I was around it a lot so I was very confused. When I became a Christian at first I was really confused and almost gave up because I knew I wanted something more from my creator and the Catholic religion was a huge block for me in developing a relationship with God. No matter what I did no matter what I tried no matter how many times I tried to go to church as an adult or a young teenager on my own accord I didn't feel anything when I would go. Absolutely nothing all I would think about was when is this going to be over and when can I eat because I would always starving for some reason in church. Now I understand a lot more and why I was starving and what I was starving for and it wasn't food. The Trinity is unique like no other which is why are molecule laminin is in the form of a cross and lit up all the day long and all the night long. Our creator amazes us and me every single day. Glory be to you God my father for when you sent your only son in the flesh to die for our sin debt when he rose from the dead and came back for the second time in the flesh even Buddha couldn't do that and God was so merciful to us humans who do not deserve his grace and yet when his Spirit was Resurrected and he became the Holy Ghost which lives through each and every one of us indeed the Creator Our Father the Son and the Holy Spirit as one knew what he was doing. The Trinity is very interesting the interpretation is different as you get deeper into your relationship with God because once you're able to see God you already know the Holy Spirit lives within you and all three are one in the same because when we get on our knees we pray to Our Father who is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Not everybody is going to be at the same point in faith and understanding of scripture at the same time. I try and keep that in the back of my mind because some Christians do exactly the opposite of what the Bible says to do and they will be dismayed with a person that isn't exactly understanding the gospel at that snapshot in time because they're not at the same place because God didn't have the same plan for the two individuals. I think a lot of us forget that a lot of times

You were catholic then you're Christian now !!!!!! Aren't catholics christians ?
❤❤AMEN AND AMEN ❤❤
Simple and 100 percent accurate. Thank you for sharing
Christ Himself thought us to pray to the Father, " our Father in heaven hollowed be Thy Name.." but Christ intercedes to our prayers so Jesus hears our prayers too because He is the One interceeding for us. The Holy Spirit teaches our Spirits how to pray and brings us closer to the Spirit of GOD. So this is a win win situation for all Christians. I so love the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. All praises be to our GOD
Once I had a miraculous thing to happen to me . I started to pray our Lord's Prayer and all of a sudden somebody started praying with me. I was a little scared but not terrified I knew at the back of my mind as we prayed that was the Holy Spirit. I will never forget this until my dying day.
@@stanleyjackson6087 Amen!
For those who disliked this video, may God bless u,in JESUS name
We dont hate our Savior Yeshua but we have the mind of Christ but we are not Christ . Yeshua has the mind of his father and was give Authorities . No where in the scriptures did it say to pray to Jesus or the Holy Spirit . We pray to The Father , in the name of the son and through the power of the Holy Spirit . 1 Cor 1:13 “ He has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear SON . Without Yeshua we cannot get to Our Father .
You pray by the Holy Spirit, to the Father, in Jesus' name!
Amen!
How do you pray BY the Holy Spirit?
@@redq1641 by saying something like...."Father God i pray to you by the power of the holy spirit in jesus name.......(whatever you pray for after that)"...remeber paul said we must pray in the spirit at all times, sometimes we dont know what to pray for or how to pray, the holy spirit is the spirit of truth so when we pray by the power of the holy spirit its actually God helping you what to say
We pray to God the Father through HIS son Jesus Christ and lead by the Holy Spirit, who also intercedes on our behalf
Abundance!!! Study to show yourself approved and in God a workman that need to not be ashamed. It is up to each of us to study this out for ourselves and not take some man’s word for it. Jesus makes it very very clear . 17 times Jesus said in the book of John To pray to the father in his name. Jesus never in any place I have found in the Bible said to pray to him or the Holy Spirit only to the father in Jesus’s name. If anyone ever talked to Jesus it was when they were in vision or in his personal presents. And then never ever pray to the Holy Spirit.
@@kathy4798Woo hoo.... Someone who really understands it!

In the same Gospel According to John that you reference, John 14:13-14 ESV
"Whatever you ask in "MY" name, this "I" will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask "ME" anything in "MY" name, "I" will do it."
so who do we pray for forgiveness?
The original language does not contain the personal pronoun ‘Me’ as a representation of Jesus. Not all translations read ‘ask ME anything’. There is no extra personal pronoun between ‘ask’ and ‘anything’. The word after ‘ask’ is an indefinite pronoun, gender neuter...it is ‘anything’. The most accurate translations read: ‘ask anything in My name’.
If we think about it, it wouldn’t really make sense for someone to say to personally ask them a question, and yet say we have to ask them the question in their name.
It just doesn’t lineup. Hope that helps!
This is exactly what I was looking for, as I’ve been a bit confused about this lately. Thank you, and God Bless 💒
Same
I recall Jesus saying whatever you ask the father in my name it seems to me you pray to the father in the name of Jesus
"And *I* will do whatever you ask in *my* name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask *me* for anything in *my* name, and *I* will do it."
John 14:13-14.
While watching Dr. Stanley on TV years ago I got saved ..Great man of God ..Thank you ! ❤🙏
Thank God for this man!
Amen. Truly a very missed man on earth. ❤
The way I understand it, we are supposed to pray in the Spirit being lead by the Holy Spirit, to God in the Name of Jesus.
I have often asked myself this very question. I figured all three are One so there probably wasn't any wrong choice but there are times when praying specifically to one of them helps me focus more. If I'm praying for things like healing or deliverance for someone, I direct it to Jesus because it was such a big part of His Earthly ministry. If I'm praying for the church or for direction for myself or someone else, I direct it to the Holy Spirit because the church began when He manifested Himself after Jesus was crucified and before that, Jesus called the Holy Spirit our Helper and Counselor. I pray to God in all things. He is the one I choose to have daily conversations with about everything and anything. I find it personally helpful and it's great peace of mind for me to know that all three are so amazingly available, no matter when or where.
Beautifully put! Thank you for sharing! I see it that way too...Much Blessings!!
Doug Smith - We should pray to the Father, in the name of Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.
It's not the function of the Holy Spirit to hear our prayers. Jesus always prayed to the Father.

Why don't you do as Jesus did . As for prayers, he never told th disciples to pray to him .
Definitely. Amen ! 🙏🏼
“For there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity- the man Christ Jesus”. (1 Timothy 5). “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). We are only made right in God’s eyes through believing in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He is our Mediator. Therefore, I choose to direct my prayers to him.

GODS HOLY SPIRIT that lives and abides in me, my comfort,my teacher,As l Walk in the Spirit 🕊️💞🙏
I pray to our Heavenly Father
Amen in the Name of Yeshua!
"Why do you call me Lord,Lord, but do not do the things I say?"
And what did the Lord Jesus say? 17 times just in the book of John he said pray to the father in my name. That does not include Matthew Mark and Luke and the book of acts and all the other books in the New Testament. If you do a careful study you will see that the disciples pray to the father in Jesus‘s name. And when they did talk to Jesus it was because they were in vision or in his personal presence
Before or after his resurrection.
@@kathy4798 Since Jesus is God and the Bible is the word of God Jesus teaches that He is the proper recipient of prayer (1 Corinthians 1:2).
I pray to all i ask the Holy Spirit help to help not live in sin i pray to Jesus to wash away my sins i pray to God to take control of my body
Thank you for the clarification, God Bless you Sir🙏
This is the BEST answer I've heard so far!!!🙌✝👑
what the good doctor clearly showed us . is we pray .by asking the holy spirit .to guide our prayers .so as we .do not pray amiss . we pray to the Father .through jesus our saviour . so we are including .all the Godhead .in our prayers .
Yes.. this is what I believe as well. 🙏🏼
I pray the Father through Jesus. "I and the Father are one" Jesus said. Indeed the Father is in Jesus, and Jesus is in the Father, they are one. When I pray I talk to the Father but through Jesus, I think at the Holy Spirit (which is God) that Jesus has and I speak directly to the Father but thinking at Jesus. We couldn't know the Father if not through Jesus. The Father is in Jesus for he is the only one mediator between the man and God, I pray the Father which is in Jesus, knowing him trough Jesus.
Thanks so much for this video! This video helped remind me that God sees the intentions but also that the nature of God as the trinity makes the prayer heard by all regardless
23 rd Psalm " Our father"
Or prayer " The lord's my shepherd meaning jesus"
I tell Jesus thank you for going before me to the Father, snd the appreciation i have for him , what he fid and what he does. I tell Father thank you FATHER FOR EVERYTHING. and i ask that he lend his holy Spirit to me.
amen praise the father God, in Jesus name
Amen.Glory Be To Our Almighty Heavenly Father Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. Thank you for sharing this video with us on here.

Now this is what I needed so much right now! God bless you!
I was just offended by a guy I work with! My coworker just told me that he does not need Jesus in order to pray because he goes to God directly. Also he said that he doesn't need the Holy Spirit. I am glad I found this video. I don't feel comfortable arguing with this man but will definitely defend Christ. Just the way he said "I don't need either one" just sent chills through my body. 😢
😮 his prayers may not be getting answered fast
Wow- thank you so much, Pastor. I've always wondered if I was praying correctly.
Thank the lord jesus for Mr. Stanley's teaching
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:3).
I pray, at the end of my prayer 🙏 ask In Jesus name the Son of Jehovah in your name we pray amen😇🕊️🙏
Thank you Dr. Stanley you are a blessing to my life
Thank you, God. This video meant so much to me. 🛐💟
Thank you for clarifying.
I have been thinking about this. Thank you Dr Stanley
I start each prayer by saying my Almighty God and end each prayer in Jesus my Lord and Savior's name and my prayers are heard and answered because the Holy Spirit lives within me. David prayed out loud crying O God, I believe that includes the entire God head. Almighty God listens to our prayers regardless of how we address Him. To think He is offended at what specific formality we use is nonsense.
Thank The Lord for these words!!! I was having problems explaining this one😇😇😇
Thank you Dr Stanley
We should go into the Lord presence in Jesus name! Asking the Holy spirit for wisdom, guidance and discernment
Words of spiritual wisdom coming from " My Mentor " Dr. Stanley . If I may : I was taught, If we have done wrong to anyone go apologise , humble yourself , then come to the Father in Prayer . He will listen to you and answer you according to his time and will..
Heart felt Gratitude for this presentation. Thank you Christ Jesus.
My questions are always answered in God's way. Hallelujah!
`` All Prayers Are AWESOME And POWERFUL `` `` ENJOY And Be BLESSED `` Your PRAYERS Are Very POWERFUL. OUR HOPE IS ALIVE. =)
Thanks for your obedience.
God bless you sir and may the lord look upon you with fondness.
This is the best answer ever since I was baptized I always addressed my prayers to Jesus.
Amen!! Very Clarifying & Liberating!!
Ever so deeply touched just by The Magnificent Love Of our Heavenly Father, taught by Jesus, and made known to be personal, via Revelation by Holy Spirit!!
Thank you, Pastor Stanley, and In Touch Ministries! Many Many Blessings to you all, and your families, in The Glorious Name Of our Lord Jesus! 🙏🏼🧡💪🏼
Thanks for the guidence brother. Stay blessed
Thank you for explaining a question I think all Christians have wondered about
I love the way The Spirit uses Dr. Stanley.
Yes it relly help me I was so confused how to pray thank you
I always direct my prayers to both God the father and God the son. And I pray my prayers in the name of his son ISA MESSIAH 🙏
By the prayer of David "cast me not away from your presence oh Lord, take not your holy Spirit from me", does it mean the Holy Spirit has been even before the manifestation of Jesus Christ before he sent us the comforter who I believe is the Holy Spirit?
If so then the Holy Spirit lives in us to instruct us, guide us and keep us in line I guess. I feel guilty when I treat the Holy Spirit as an after thought in my prayers. However I always ask him to instruct my reins, direct my path, guide my words my thoughts and deeds, keep me in the consciousness of Christ. When I had to lead opening prayer or any path in our fellowship, I always ask him to give me utterance as most times I don't feel worthy to be on the alter and I also get shy. He always does cause when I'm done, I know it couldn't have been by my power or by my might that I was able to deliver.
Holy Spirit, I may not know how to pray to you properly but please never depart from me. Amen.
Really blessed.. thank you sir
John 16:26 Jesus says to the disciples that He will not ask God on our behalf so I take it to mean than we go directly to God. I personally ask God but also praise Jesus for making it possible.
Hugs♥ Pastor Stanley from God*Elohim♥ Amen♥ tnku
In The Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit Amen, Amen and Amen.............
This is very beautiful. 🕊️
Believers pray to God the Father, in the name of the Son, Jesus Christ, by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Then because it is according to His will, He hears, answers and is glorified in the Son. John 14:13-17, 26, 16: 13-15; 1 John 5:15. The reason: John 5:23-24. The Holy Spirit intecedes for the believer, knowing his desires and matching them with God's will and enables him to receive by faith- just by asking, putting his trust in God, who is ever Faithful Romans 8:16-17.
God is not devided, and Jesus is our high priest and mediator and he said no man cometh unto the father but by me! So I just pray to Jesus.
Thank you for this. 🙌 🙏
this cleared up my question, thank you!
I have always just prayed to God
And the name above them all is JESUS ❤ IN JESUS NAME
Thankyou that was exactly what I needed to hear:)
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUTH THE LIGHT & LIFE PLEASE REPENT MAY GOD BLESS & FORGIVE US ALL.
Bless you. Thank you ♡
Personally, before bed, I pray to God. I figure he hears me and sees my actions. Am I perfect? No, not at all. Am I trying. Yes, will all my heart.

Thank you Dr❤
I'm Catholic and I thought this was very good. I've always liked Dr. Stanley, although I'm sure he's got some definite disagreements with the Catholic Faith, he's a good man. Pax Christi.
As a catholic, who do you pray to and through?
I don't mean this in a rude why, but it doesn't matter in a sense what people are these organizations preach if it's not his word, and not added to. He told us (Jesus) how to preach
I meant (Jesus) told us how to pray ( Luke 11 ) and his word tells us who to pray to and who is there to help us (the trinity) and that is it.
Thank you so much 😍😍😍
Amen our father in heaven 🙏😇
Colossians 2:9
Amplified Bible (AMP)
9For in Him (Jesus) the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].
Amen God is one 🙏❤️
Pray the way Jesus prayed pray to the god that Jesus prayed to unless you know more than Jesus peace be upon him
Thank you!
Jesus is the father the son and the holy spirit, the father and holy spirit are in Jesus , 1 God
We pray to God by the power of the holy Spirit through the name of Jesus Christ .
Don't forget Stephen's last prayer was to Jesus directly!
Yes. Maybe just another more some where in the NT ..and that's it
Ty,for cleaning this up. It can be confusing to know.
Thank You
well said :) God bless you
I don't believe that the Father and the Son are the same. Jesus is His Son, not the Father. Why does everyone say they're the same? John 3:16 is the basis for our faith. He sent His SON to die for our sins, not Himself. I DO believe in praying to the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit. That part. I don't have an issue with. The Father AND Jesus are in Heaven. The Holy Spirit is the Father's Gift to us, to empower us, enabling us to do as we're supposed to do, just as in Acts.
Jesus God in the flesh. You can go read for yourself in John 1. The entire Old Testament points to Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation. But don’t take my word go read it all for yourself and tell the Holy Spirit to lead you towards the Truth. Be Blessed in Jesus Name.
Amen this is truth !
Matthew 28:18-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go [a]therefore andmake disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” [b]Amen.
Sir that is Directly contrary to what Jesus taught, Jesus said to pray to the Father in my name and in Acts chapter 4 the Disciples did that very thing but you Sir give the impression that it doesn’t matter, wow that’s amazing, So praying to Jesus or the Holy Spirit is not disobedience?
This leads to the question. Is God really the 3 of them?
Thank you so much 😊
That was helpful
In my moments of formal prayer and meditation I address it to the father. As always I also talk directly to Jesus, it's just names God the father and Jesus but my heart says they are one God. Before I'm confused now no more.
Thanks again
In Acts 7:59, Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. Jesus taught his disciples to pray to the Father while He is yet on earth but now that He is in heaven we can address our prayer to Him just like what Stephen did.
thanks
Man i been so messed up on who to believe in the preaching of the Gospel. I feel after listening to DR STANLEY that he teaches the word correctly. So right now i think i will just listen to what DR Stanley taught. I've heard About all of them and don't want to be led astray. Who is telling me the truth? Very mixed up in C-Burg, Can anyone help me? GOD Bless.
