It took me a while to learn this but the one shoe fits all approach doesn't work in dating because the things that people value and the things that they want can differ vastly from person to person. There are some men who prefer traditional women and some men do not. It took me a while to learn this but the one shoe fits all approach doesn't work in dating because the things that people value and the things that they want can differ vastly from person to person. There are some men who prefer traditional women and some men do not. If you started a company that specializes in manufacturing baby products you wouldn't waste your time marketing to singles without kids because you know they don't want what you have to offer regardless of how valuable it may be. If you are a traditional woman don't waste your time seeking untraditional men and understand you are going have wade through a lot of men before you find someone matches you.

Not everyone wants to be with a man like him. I most certainly would hate to be. Adrienne said it best. I believe that we all have to be independent in an amazing way so that if things go down, we still have a great part of ourselves to rely on. However, we have to depend on our spouses in a way too. At some point in your relationship, you'll be weak and he'll be strong, vice versa, and it's good to depend on each other in those moments, because as humans, we are not meant to be in solitude. It shouldn't mean though, that if they leave, you will sink.
P.s. I'm super independent. I'm strong, I run a successful business, and organisation. My husband is most definitely the realest man I've ever known, and he isn't threatened one bit. Because REAL men aren't. They see what you bring and they're secure enough to know what they bring is invaluable too. They don't need your light to be dim so theirs can shine.
