Despite having Pursuit + Knock Off, I find NatDex Gambit to be less of a headache to fight in comparison to SV OU Gambit, simply because it can no longer Tera anymore and flip matchups it has no business of winning, making it more reasonable to build around its typing. That being said, the thing is still an absolute menace in NatDex and is likely a top 3 mon in the tier rn. Also, that last dude in the live used Defiant Gambit; he was on demon time.
@@laterferaligatr2947 Makes sense in hindsight; Landorus-T is everywhere in NatDex cause it has its entire Gen 7/8 toolkit in its arsenal, so it is a good way to punish them. As someone who knows how SV OU and early NatDex OU Gambit functions, seeing Defiant Gambit being used unironically throws me off a bit. lol

Kingambit is currently a huge threat in gen 9 OU with sucker punch boosted by supreme overlord, making kingambit a real problem when it’s the last mon on the field, but in nat dex it’s a whole other beast. Gaining access to knock off and pursuit, kingambit has lost the crown and assumed the role of a deity. Let’s see how it does today 🗣️
I like to use a stealth rock lefties set on gambit since it can set it on stuff like specs pult, with pursuit to trap and knock for progress, either sucker or iron head in the last slot depending on if you want safety against offense or a hit against something like tar
Cope. Gambit is a 1000 times more balanced and healthy in this new meta game and does a lot of good keeping cheese nonsense and other stuff in line. It’s way easy to manage long term too.

10:40 I feel like you always, always, ALWAYS have to G-check a Gliscor lead with Wisp or Knock if you have it on your lead - either they forget they need to be unstatused with item at end of turn to turn into Real Gliscor and they don't protect, they try to predict you predicting protect and do something silly, or worst case scenario they *do* protect, in which case you've lost nothing but had the chance to prevent Toxic Heal and forced them to respect the fact that you could, instead of getting rocks/setting up on their rocks/tox/etc. and you feel like a moron for not outsmarting such an unsafe/"dumb" play
