@@MrTy621 no they are random ranks... If you remove stone status from cards they return back to what they were... If they all were the same rank it could be exploited

The real reason you would buy the discard vouchers is because you have the excess money it just removes them from the pool so you're more likely to see the actually useful vouchers :)
Can you see the same voucher twice if you deny it once? If you can see the same one twice, then buying discard wouldn’t matter cause you’d need to buy the second discard voucher anyways

Ceremonial dagger is an awesome joker because it's thematically evocative and has mechanics that reflect that. While perhaps not mechanically generally all too powerful, how effective it is misses the point of why it's cool.
True! It’s conceptually cool and I’m glad it’s in the game. Doesn’t me I have or want to use it tho.
Custom decks make me happy, mostly cause they let you do fun or silly stuff.
Re the Dagger: I dont like it. Like it turns cash into mult, but it requires constant attention so it doesn't kill a run and it scales very slowly. Also I like most of the other jokers and it makes me sad when there's a madman with a dagger stabbing em for the redstuff inside.
It is a solid, usable thing and can get you out of scrapes if your lucky enough to get high value jokers you cant use. But also that means you need to have alot of money and buy high value jokers, just to be turned into flat mult.
Edit: I jsut got to the point where you sold an 80 mult dagger, I could not be happier. This sparks joy.
Edit 2: And then you moved into discarding with green joker. Single greatest troll. Makes me think though, it'd be fun to have a run intension with itself with an eternal green joker/banner and mystic summit/mailin rebate/trading card, so you have to carefully manage your discards. Maybe few eternals giving you extra hands/discards to more empower you to move between playing hands and discarding hands. I think there's space for some very sick custom challenges there.

Fuck the ceremonial dagger fr its worked like twice for me, its just so slow most of the time, like it cost money, an EXTRA joker space, you have to actively manage its position, the voucher that make it more managable to buy jokers reduce its scaling AND it scales slowley MOST of the time due to it only going up once per turn. And all of that for some flat mult? Like really people say Red Card is the worst joker/flat mult joker, no its the dagger. I will say red card has less potential but also WAY less downsides.
Like genuinely whats the point, like if it had all those downsides and it was xMult, or mult and chips i can see it but its so lackluster and it has the gall to be annoying to manage 😭

Bizarre sight at 20:30 where you managed to play a straight rather than a high card. Did a quick check to see if it happened anywhere else, but didn't see it. Apparently there was a straight under those stones. haha. Fun run!

Interesting run idea. The horror run with 2 madness jokers with a dagger for each (all 4 eternal and only eternals in run). Have 9999 joker slots and can only buy jokers in the shop (have to get tarot, planet, spectral, cards in packs only)
Dagger is best at higher stakes, when you can mult it with things like vamp
The only thing about the dagger that upset me was feeding it the egg. Fuck the dagger

Normally Stone, is still a playing card underneath. So somehow he had a straight and the game might of not factored in the stone.
The game probably saw the cards as numbers instead of stones for some reason. Just a weird bug.

You can Get 3 Of a Kind, or Whatever, but Only if The underlying Cards are Actually 3 Of a Kind. but You won't Get the Rank bonus.
I was looking up stone card videos and all I could find were ones where the entire deck is stone cards. I’d like to see a video where a stone deck happened organically so I could see a normal context where someone would chose to go for stone cards vs something that will never happen like this.

As someone who loves ceremonial dagger, the joker is utter Garbo and is highly overrated. That just doesn’t stoop me picking it up and throwing the run every time
17:04 Shouldn't you have gone for the spectral pack here? Seals and editions were the only ways you could have realistically upgraded your cards without removing the stone.

I'm ashamed to say that I probably was very close to becoming a dagger lover because the first time I got it I had an overabundance of utility jokers that made for superb food for it. However, the dagger has never come even close to performing at that level since for me so I'm firmly a dagger hater now.

I'm by no means a game dev, but would it be more reasonable if it instead gave x0.1 mult for each dollar of sell value it's consumed, starting at x1?
Dagger sucks unless you get it and riff Raff like together at the start, and even then it's annoying.

nah, Ceremonial Run-Ender can bite me with how often it gets forgotten all the way to the left and it eats through jokers. Plus, the only time it's good is in this exact situation, fattened up by the Egg, but even then, +33 mult is nothing when compared to, say, x5 mult which can turn even a +7 mult into a positive value over Ceremonial buttface.
lol they already think dagger does something. These are people who will cite their one dagger win on blue stake after a few dozen straight losses trying to force it. Nothing you do will influence their opinions one way or the other.

@@mrptr9013 number go up is a trick. You were going to win or lose at the moment you click play hand, not later. it's just a trick. and you actually likely often waste time agonizing about this exact decision in this hard game.
it also takes... 1 minute to set up. If you don't like it, don't use it once you actually *know*. You're already in a casino game gambling your time away, at least do it efficiently.
