1. Climate change impacts are not accelerating and there is no direct evidence it is. Media hysteria is not science.
2. The Greenhouse Effect is a hypothesis. There has never been a direct measurement of temperature rise from increased levels of CO2.
3. Reductions in greenhouse gasses are unnecessary since there is no evidence of a Greenhouse Effect existing at all.
4. EVs will never dominate because there aren't enough minerals to manufacture them. Strip-mining half the Earth to save it is insane. Solar energy cannot support an advanced economy, requires poisonous metals to manufacture, and cannot be recycled economically. Since when is a giant lake of glass good for the environment?
The climate was changing before the use of fossil fuel. You probably don't want to hear this but God cursed the earth at the same time he cursed mankind. Mankind and the earth is set to die out and be rejuvenate without sin. There's no way out of it. You can go green ,purple or what color you chose your not going stop the decline.

Nicely done.
If you want to improve electric cars you need to reduce the weight by at least 30%. Using generative technologies to improve structural components would be a great way of looking at the problem. If you look at the shapes used in nature to produce skeletal structures solid materials are uncommon.
It’s not impossible to use rotational jig mechanisms to create elliptical architecture.
Steel is a big factor when it comes to uses of energy and steel mills cost billions of pounds to produce. Granular deposition mediums could be produced and carried logistically to point of use without the need for cranes if they are piped. We could look at ways of producing granular alloy mediums that are less susceptible to oxidation if laid using from atmosphere nitrogen and carbon dioxide and suitable flux materials instead of pre packaged shielding gases. Maybe even localised vacuums could help limit oxidisation of materials as they are deposited.
Let’s say for instance you start off with a grounding spike that will serve as an earth. The jig let’s postulate could for instance be a circular arrangement for arguments sake although many shapes would work. The central deposition rotor could be preprogrammed to create a threaded central support spike that would be rotated into the ground as a primary pile until enough support is gained to start ascending. Companion rotor heads can produce external steel members and help to support the upward momentum. A combination of cam teeth and worm gears drive the jig up the primary central column and the secondary exterior columns. The arc of the rotary disposition heads will be electrically grounded via the columns back to a below ground level earthing pole. After each stage of ascension ceramic or carbonate (concrete) coatings could be added to moulds external of the steel columns. The whole jig would rotate to produce an external lattice offering support in either direction and also mean that glazing and solar collection films could be added after skeletal construction. The jig assembly will most likely need to be airlifted from the uppermost tapper of the ellipse and repositioned for the next production of a structure. Eventually we could produce climbing bots for production of more advanced designs away from rotational symmetries but in the immediate future jigs would be suitable. Creating layers inside the structure would be achieved with horizontal granular metallic deposition heads before printing complete flooring layouts also tying together the central column with the exterior lattice column structures. We should look to incorporate complete biological and mechanical filtration for sustainable use without prolonged external resource use so that the same techniques can be used to create habits suitable for interplanetary expansion. If we are really clever with our designs the electrical and aqueous needs of the inhabitants can be printed into the structures from the ground level and if used where a suitable water table height is available the initial seed water extraction could take place from the water table itself.

Seems more and more likely, scenario SSP5-8.5 of the IPCC assessment may come to fruition (or at least the higher end of the spectrum). Enjoy what you can, while you still can; pity the generations to come.

We all have different opinions and insights in regards to climate and how it impacts our lives. We must all take into account how we must use our mode of action to combat environmental degredatiob and/or pollution.

And while we've made unexpectedly great progress, there's much more to do. The problem isn't solved, but it CAN be.
We can do this, we must do this. Biden's two bills he pushed for & got passed help America contribute to the solution. 💙
Very optimistic vision, we already know about the technologies and knowledge for reforms but we are not taking any actions in global level in significant ways, convincing everyone and influencing them to adapt the change for better living as soon as possible is also a challenge.

I saw some great insight and stories in this show. I also had the feeling all the way through it that it was maybe a little optimistic not that optimistic is a really bad thing in fact if we're going to keep going he's a certain amount of it. When it came to the art towards the end where you started talking about food I was thinking oh finally they might do it and no you talked about a plant-based food and all plant-based foods have lower emissions than animal based foods and we can switch individually any of us can I can't believe that wasn't talked about one biggest single thing that you can do to have the biggest impact like as an individual is to switch to a plant-based diet preferably 100% fat face. And you chose to talk about rice and not animal farming I feel like this is greenwashing.. trying to take the eyes off the biggest culprit when it comes to food and when you talk about the farming emissions you didn't talk about in every way that farming contributes to climate change and environmental breakdown the loss of diversity and dead zones in the ocean. Because most of that is from animal agriculture. You have to understand it's not just about emissions it's what are we going to do to capture all the greenhouse gases and we haven't even stopped putting them out yet.. but let's just say we went 100% green today these gases will still be around for many many years at least a century and maybe more. It's about all the forest fires and everything that's already happening because of the amount of gases we have in the atmosphere and we're losing our Covington because they're burning of course are burning we need to plant more trees where we're going to find land plant more trees well things like wasting 75% of what is used for agriculture right now because we're eating animals..
She refers to Norway's success with electric generation. Norway is very unique in the world. They have high mountains and much water supplied by huge snow fed rivers. That moving water is put to use turning generators. Pair that with low population density, high education, low birth rate and strict immigration laws. The result is very high electric power per person. But almost no other country has that combination of factors. Certainly non the USA. Not even with all the engineers in the world.
The only way the US is going to have electric cars in every driveway and air conditioners on every room is through nuclear energy production.
solar looks like baited hooks and wind power appears to have been deliberately designed with flaws knowingly so improvements can be pushed for even greater profits.What if I build a non solar or wind or hydro power generation plant. Will the power I put in the grid be purchased ? or are there roadblocks because they want to dictate what sources of energy they purchase?
I hope mother Earth complies to these human visions...

Government boondoggles would not find support, and there would be no perceived need, if we were to decide that the market should operate honestly. We should charge substantial fees to those who extract natural resources or emit pollution or destroy wildlife habitat. We should share fee proceeds to all to make the policy fair. (Fees should be high enough to bring emissions, etc., into line with what most people think is acceptable.)
'Green hydrogen' means mortgaging the distant future. The decision to pursue hydrogen as an industrial scale energy storage medium will mean losing more hydrogen to space. That will mean less water on Earth over time. (Hydrogen leaks from EVERYTHING, because it is so tiny. Then it floats up and is blown away by the solar wind. Earth will become more like Mars *sooner* than what otherwise would be the case. Will an industrial hydrogen economy increase the rate of loss by 10%, beyond what is caused by natural processes? Is that OK, to do that to future life? What if it increases the rate of loss by 200%?
The technology that makes hydrogen available on an industrial scale could be tweaked to produce methane and other hydrocarbons, instead.

Thank-you! I’ve been dreaming of a clean future since being a teenager. Now, I drive a BEV and I’m hoping to switch from natural ga to heat pump water and home heating as soon as the technology really gets to main stream. I’m counting on Tesla to move this industry with a big paradigm shift in technology as well..

Does anyone have a plan for making China and India care about this? Because if not, the entire conversation is a waste.
China has really stepped up their game with highly efficient solar panels and integrated wind farms in agricultural land along majority of their east coast. Further upstream they have dams that generate electricity and lots of green initiatives supported by policy (i.e. EV adoption, circular economy for manufacturing, greening of cities). Along highways you would also see billboards describing the nationwide carbon neutral plans and this is also supported by tech innovation in related fields. I can't say i know much about India's situation but China is definitely putting in effort though.
@@zakeibc looks like we found the guy who believes all of the Chinese propaganda. Make no mistake, China's furious schedule of building a new coal-fired power plant every two weeks has not slowed down. Any commitment to green energy they speak of is a total fabrication. Pure lies.

@@zakeibc I hate to tell you this, but it is mostly a lie. Watch The China Show for some facts about China. Think paddocks painted green so it looks like they have green fields full of crops. Check out the videos about their EV graveyards. Check out how many resources they are wasting building ghost cities, of which many get demolished.
