Right! Most of their stuff isn’t crazy complicated but sounds so badass. I think a lot has to do with Mario. He really likes to match on double bass what Joe plays rhythmically
I am working on a cover of this one myself. I have it down pretty good, but I decided to see what others were doing, and I learned a couple of techniques from you. Now off to practice some more before I immortalize it on video. Great cover.
When it comes to tabs I just hunt my way through google... depending on the song, some can be slightly inaccurate.. so normally I’ll do my own version of what I think is closest
Great cover PS i just saw your? babies from 2011? grooving to Messhugah while eating peas Love it Any updates on their musical journey? As is wise, comments there are disabled
Line 6 Pod Go.... Gets all the jobs done from whammy pedals to modulation/reverb/delay/amps/cabs/drive pedals.... Much easier to use than my previous Axe Fx Ultra (which I have used for majority of my covers). The Pod Go has USB capability so I can tweak all my sounds from the computer. (Pod GO EDIT). The Pod GO is my favorite fx proc so far.
@@TheMakShak13 nice! I'm running the helix so should be possible to do. Where in the signal path did you put the whammy and what parameter settings do you use? Also, amazing cover!!
@@fr0kel131 whammy pedal > drive pedal > amp > cab > eq > signal out. set the toe pitch to +12, and the heel pitch to 0, mix at 50%, and automate the "position" setting with the expression pedal itself
Nice! What did you do to get the whammy to keep all the notes clear in the power chord? Everytime I use the whammy on the power chord one of the notes kinda goes slightly out of tune and it makes the whole thing sound horrible
I have no idea how they keep coming up with some of the simplest yet most badass and unique sounding riffs. Gotta love this band

it's a simple outro but hits af !
Amazing work!! The last two minutes are my favorite part of the song.
I feel the same
Nice lively and bright tone that thrills me as a guitarist and your passionate playing sounds great!

Line 6 and Audacity… sounds out of this world.. kudos
Perfect cover, the only part is missing is what i think is a tapping part that can be heard right before the outro
BEP BEP BEP BEP MIAWWWWW
I'm a big fan of your covers, and another winner here.
Did you learn this by ear?
Where do you like to look for notation/tabs?
By ear yes. I’ve loved and listened for Gojira long enough to know their general guitar tunings and all that.. this cover was played in Drop C.
When it comes to tabs I just hunt my way through google... depending on the song, some can be slightly inaccurate.. so normally I’ll do my own version of what I think is closest
Awesome cover! Really dig the tone.
Great cover, dude!

The melodic part sounds like Dethklok
What pedalboard do you use? Seems like multi-effect but with the possibility to use a polyphonic pitch shifter

at first i was like how is his foot on his key board
The fact that I recorded that on my iPhone and had to warp the image is sad enough lol... alien looking foot
@@TheMakShak13 its a nice touch though being able to see the pedal being used. makes the cover even more complete!
Easy peasies. Push yourself.

Nice microwave, bro. How many hot pockets can you fit in there?
