Lived in Sunnyvale from 1953 to 1970, until I joined the Marines. Lived in Hawaii for many years, and back in Monterey,Ca. Sunnyvale in those years was simple the very best! How lucky I was!

Those were the good old days!!!!!🤗I remember Benner and Bishop school! So many fruit orchard trees, the Olson's were number one in cherry orchards. It was the good old leave it to beaver days 🤗❤️

The incredible power of summoning long forgotten experience, the stuff of activating memories forming heritage and tradition. Thank you ever so much.

My family has lived here for over 80 years , we have seen an explosion of change to our little town , we once had a nice town , people friendly a close community we always saw a friendly face , crime was low Sunnyvale had good honest people I miss that feeling so much , now Sunnyvale is a complete mess , I don't like anything about it anymore , its over populated cold and too expensive , I will move out of this place I hope soon, if this is progress you can have it , my family has the oldest and first storage facilities in the bay area other then that , what's left of my relatives who are here, that's the only thing keeping me here , for the people who live here now this is the Sunnyvale you know and maybe love I am sure you also are excellent people, also and I wish you in these times build on good memories of once was our little town God bless you all its been fun.

I used to spent hours in the C.J. Olsen cherry orchards eating Bing Cherries. M.A.G.A. those were the days!

I got caught doing that when I was 10 years old, and was chased on foot for 3 blocks. The guy was furious.

I used to play in that orchard at the community center in 73 and badminton in cc. I grew up on quail av across from Raynor park. Sadly my high school ( Peterson ) is a jr.high now. Thanks for the Sunnyvale tour.

My kids attended Peterson in the 90’s when it was a middle school. Knew the Campbell brothers who played sports at PHS.

Thank you for this... I went to Homestead High - graduated '88, but would have gone to S'vale High. Went to Carson Elementary (Now Vargas) then to S'vale Jr. high (was Mango). Very cool to see all this S'vale history no matter the high school you went to in Sunnyvale/Cupertino :)

@@nanajoyceful Yes, I knew Joan, sweetest person. Had a real sense of humor! Sometimes she would say something that would just crack me up. So sadden by her death, she was so young! Joan was in my class, 1964.

@@PJsArtStudio oh wow!!! Thank you so much for your sentiments and sweet memories. I was 11 when she died. Affected me so much. She was a very bubbly person and taken too soon! She was apparently adored by everyone that knew her. I was so young and don’t have the memories that my older siblings had of her. Thank you for responding! It means so much.

I enjoyed seeing the orchard along Old San Francisco. I used to go out to the Pomeroy ranch there. And seeing the Murphy house was neat. We lived just a block north, on Jackson Street.

Wow. Thanks for those kind words. I’m having my morning coffee and sitting here in Templeton Calif where my wife and I moved to one year ago and my heart is warmed by your story. My mom worked one year in the cannery near Fair Oaks and Kifer to help ends meet. And congrats to you for helping create young adults for four decades.

Moved from Templeton in 1969 (graduated H.S. 1967) to Sunnyvale. Eventually moved to Fresno. I started watching your video's for the athletics events and really enjoy them. Thanks for all your work Malcolm.

I went to Fremont HS. Moved far away after my freshman year. Weird that I never even heard of King's Academy. Just looked it up on google maps. It was in a section of town that I never really explored. This internet thing is neato.

Hi Malcolm. My uncles all went to S'vale High. Daniel, Johnny, Richard and Mike Ruiz. By the way, 1971 was by far, the best class, LOL. What's your last name, so I can run it by my Uncle Richard. Very good video. Sad too. Shows our mortality, that we don't seem to notice, until we aren't young anymore.
