I work part time and people ask me all the time if I have another job. I also have 3 kids. And when I say no they act like I'm so lazy. Taking care of your family and home is sacred work. It almost made me cry when you said that. Thanks
I have 3 children also. They are grown now but I totally know what you mean. I’ve always worked outside of the home, mostly part time. I have had so many people ask me the same thing threw the years. I totally think taking care of your family is one of the most important things you can do.
I’m going to be focused a lot on homemaking when I move into my apartment. I’ve been homeless with my daughter for a little bit. I won’t take a home for granted anymor
I hope that you and your daughter are settled soon, myself and my two girls have been told that our home of six years is being sold, my eldest cried because her deceased hamster is buried here. Bless her this home is mostly all she knows. But I hope that our next home will bring us as much joy and gratitude as this home has, I’m very thankful to the house for keeping us warm and protected all these years and I will miss the garden and the farmland we live near that we have grown to love ❤️
I was in a homeless shelter with my 3 kids for a short time. Now we have our own land and off grid home we built in Hawaii and are growing vegetables and flowers and fruit trees and homeschooling. Things can and will change. Just don’t give up and be sure you’re staying open to receiving all God’s blessings! Anything is possible with God! Aloha 🌈🙏🏽🪷
Homemaking is my favourite thing. I am still in University but my Dream is to one day be a fulltime homemaker. For now it helps me destress from my academic life. Thank you Madi for this beautiful video
I'm finally on materbity leave waiting for my second to arrive. I love taking care of my home- I take so much pride in having a clean, neat, organised home.
I love this video. I totally agree. Through my life I’ve changed my ideas about homemaking. I’ve changed as season’s change and as time passes by. I’m totally drawn to keeping my home nice for me and my family. I am grateful my mother taught me. I totally agree a clean home makes me happier. It’s not about perfection not at all but about feeling safe in your home no matter what that looks like. ❤😊 3:59
Having.a safe loving home is such a privilege even though it should be everyone's right. I am so grateful to have not only a roof over my head but a space my partner and I put so much love and beauty into
Love the content you're putting out & the message you're sharing! My favorite days are slow homemaking days where I just focus on getting things tidy and clean, then spend time cooking from scratch. They just fill my soul.
God bless you and your family. Hold fast to your morals and values. They are like rare pearls in this engineered society. Love the Josh Garrels song at the end!
This video and all you said! I’ve been stressing out about keeping the house tidy and clean, but I also work and have 2 kids. All you said made so much more sense as I am trying to become a homemaker ❤
Love your content! I've learned to slow down since quitting my corporate job and have never felt happier and more fulfilled. I started my own small business. Taking a pay cut by half, but now have time to cook, and keep my home peaceful and comfortable. Thank you for normalizing this. You look like such a great mom and I hope to raise my kids like yours one day!
Great video! I always wanted to be a wife, mother and homemaker, but definitely felt the pressure from society to get a career. I'm thankful for a husband who supported me wholeheartedly in my role as a mother and homemaker. I homeschooled my 3 children who are all adults now and LOVED the lifestyle. Once I became an empty nester, I was bombarded again with outside pressure to get a job, but I chose not to, and stay plenty busy managing our home well, and I love being available to help others, including our kids and grandkids! 🥰
This video spoke to me so much. I currently work 2 days per week and had the option to sign up for more time. After my husband and I spoke, we decided that 2 days is plenty. We have 3 boys (ages 6 to 11) and I find that life is so much happier when I am home more. It IS simple, sacred work. Thank you for this lovely video and inspiring message. Happy Thanksgiving!
All of this. So good!! Our roles as homemakers are so important and I love that you are encouraging me in that. And I'm so excited for your course to launch!!! 😘🎉
Thank you thank you Thank you for making this simple video. I have been a stay at home mom/homemaker for the past 13 years and since my kids are not little little anymore...I've been struggling with feeling like my legitimacy of being still home and not out in some job is less and less, like somehow once your kids are in school, there's no value added to being at home. So many homemaking videos on youtube make me feel like underneath what they are saying, they feel this way too...I can tell in how they are so quick to say that they do this or that on the side or once their kids go to school, they will get a job and earn money then. This was a confident, respectful view on homemaking.
I love your perspective on homemaking and motherhood. I just subscribed. Your comment about “simple sacred work” filled my soul. I agree wholeheartedly ☺️ I love creating a space that brings me peace, brings my family peace, and helps everyone who enters feel the Holy Spirit. I believe the home is where our most important work occurs. I love cleaning, cooking, and gardening. I believe that we can take the good from past generations and enhance it with modern amenities. Finding joy and peace in the simple things. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.
Love watching your videos, I have 8 kids and stay home with them, I love your reminders to slow down and enjoy. Homemaking is the best. Thanks for making your videos, they give me peace and I feel like Jesus hugs me every time I watch them. ❤
The suggestions and tips in this video are practical, and doable. They are simple and promote a balance I've been looking for in my homemaking routine. God bless you for having this channel for all us women trying to be the Proverbs 31 woman

Hi I love children’s books. I have 4 children and so we have (and enjoy them all) a lot of books. One of our favourites which I am certain your two little ones would love is “we are going on a bear hunt” by Michael Rosen. It is a classic here in UK & read in primary schools and nurseries. Madi, could you (or anyone reading this) recommended a really good homemaking book? If there isn't one, you should totally write one for the modern woman! 🥰
I’ve just discovered your channel and am really enjoying this!! Do you have a podcast by any chance? - the videos are beautifully edited but the audio alone is INCREDIBLY suited to a pared back podcast, no other “re-recordings” necessary! ❤
I live in South Italy. Even there the tradition of the "stay at home mom" shifted. People don't value anymore the work of a housewife, which by the way is a real job. Thank you so much for this video.
Here's an idea for your back pocket: A coffee table sized book with photos of your lovely home with recipes for things that make your home feel cozy (bread making, cleaning, etc), and tips for gardening and minimalism. Throw in some of your helpful quotes and it would be a wonderful resource and inspiration. Just a thought. Thanks for all that you do to keep us inspired and encouraged as moms and homemakers!
I love this video, and I 100% agree with what you're saying!! I always dreamed of the perfect home and looked at many perfect Pinterest homes and felt like mine was not worthy becuase I didn't have all the fancy things but it wasn't until I loved and appreciated my home that I was able to make it a HOME.
Thank you for this! I always talked about home making since I was a child and my mom passed early due to domestic violence and something in me switched and I was forced to work early by my father. I didn’t have a life as a child. He didn’t work. If I didn’t work my siblings and I didn’t have and I was only 14. I was the youngest. I Judy had this fear of being treated like a slave or being abused because I felt men wanted to trap me. Some were even spoken for but still wanted to be with me to be tied to me for life because they wanted a stay at home wife and they were narcissist. I feel like society puts too much pressure on women to be career minded and make tons of money but I don’t want to do that. I love being at home cooking and cleaning and having peace in my life. Nothing is wrong with working from home but I’m tired of being outside the house working. Hopefully I’ll marry one day and my husband will embrace me being at home. They men I’ve met in the past they want me to work and they want me to contribute to their dreams and bills and real men are supposed to provide.
I've been a wife for 15 years and most of the time I was a stay at home mom but I didn't know that it was a gift nor knew how to embrace it. Now i find peace and pleasure being a homemaker. Although being at it so long, I'm now returning as a student in learning the balance of my home as well as myself. Thank you for your video.
I want to do this. But I'm in a fixer upper with my kids, husband, dad, and grandma. Who make it impossible to live the way i want or raise my kids the way i want. Plus the happy aesthetic isn't there. Cracks in the walks and ceiling falling. Roof leaks. Cant afford to fix it.
Hi Maddy, very sweet and interesting vidéo. My kids are the same age than yours and I would really appreciate a vidéo about simple Christmas gifts. I like your Books recommandations. I bought the french version of 'Slow down' and we adore it !
Where is the broom from? We are moving soon, and we are in need of a new broom! I love this video. I binge these videos! Feels like a like minded friend reassuring me hustle culture isn’t right for us.
I love this ❤️❤️🫶🏼🫶🏼 i moved away from everyone in 2020. I learned so much about myself and creating my space to be me and have a happy family. I have made videos about my plants and life!! I send positive energy to you and your family.
I’m so scared asking for help 😔 I’m a single mother of two girls but I jus feel like a burden when I’m constantly able to provide fully for us then a hardship happens and need help again… I understand help is necessary but why do I feel like this
Even tho I grew up with a single mom working soo hard to provide and by God’s grace we had an amazing life, I never had a passion for working outside the home. I never loved any of my jobs. I would joke that I wanted to be a stay at home mom with no kids. I didn’t even know there was a word for that - homemaker. I joked during introductions in my degree that I wanted to be a homemaker after I graduated. It felt like NO ONE understood that, or appreciated it. I didn’t even realize for years that all along my whole life God had created me to be a homemaker. Thank God my husband has always supported me and our family and saw the immense value that role brings! I am so beyond grateful to do what I truly truly love every single day - take care of my family & home - truly creating a safe thriving place by the love of the Lord Jesus! Such a blessing! I don’t take it for-granted! 🥹💖
Homemaking as a sacred art. You mean not just a dishmaven or laundry goddess? You mean we're not just slaves to the unending messes or hungry mouths? Whoahow. There's a refreshing perspective I could use. Thank you!

I love this ❤️❤️🫶🏼🫶🏼 i moved away from everyone in 2020. I learned so much about myself and creating my space to be me and have a happy family. I have made videos about my plants and life!! I send positive energy to you and your family.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Great video as usual Madi! Can you please tell me who sings the song at the end, deck the halls? It’s a beautiful version!
Found it! It’s Deck the Halls -Alt Version by Longlake.
I needed this right now. Thankyou.
Also, how do you keep your 2yr old out of plants on the floor? 🤔
I think he was interested in them when he was almost 2, now he doesn’t mind them ❤️
Where did you get your nativity set from? That is beautiful ❤️

Sooo inspiring! Love❤

I’m so scared asking for help 😔 I’m a single mother of two girls but I jus feel like a burden when I’m constantly able to provide fully for us then a hardship happens and need help again… I understand help is necessary but why do I feel like this
What a lovely video!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Beautiful!
I’m so glad you are here ❤️
Rozanne Paxmanne brought me to this video!
Homemaking as a sacred art.
You mean not just a dishmaven or laundry goddess? You mean we're not just slaves to the unending messes or hungry mouths?
Whoahow.
There's a refreshing perspective I could use.
Thank you!
