North American QSO Party (NAQP) RTTY Rules and such...

The North American QSO party, or NAQP, is held six times a year. It comes in three flavors: CW, SSB, and RTTY and is held twice a year during the winter months and during the summer months, so for the RTTY flavor, operations will be from 1800 UTC on July 20th to 0559 UTC on July 21st.

Poor planning in my opinion..International Beacon Project..This has been around since 1979. Frequencies are: 14100, 21150 and 28200. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. My own 10m beacon is on 28199.5
Also, that tramples on phone frequencies used in Canada. Phone operation is permitted below 7125 on 40. The Trans-Canada net has been on 14140 for decades. These are USA frequencies you are referring to, not North American..

Thanks for the insight, Tim. I pulled those freqs straight from the rules, so you need to take your concerns up with the organizers. FWIW I agree with you, which is why I talked about not causing QRM to non-contesters. 73 de ND3n
