People can get mad at me all they want to. But what that family has shown us for at least 50 years plus was not abuse from any of their parents. None of those children were crazy. None of them had bruises on them what so ever as they grew up. Even Mrs. Jackson would tell us over and over again throughout the years that if any of the children needed spankings then that's what they got. Yes everybody got their butts whipped back in the day. Infact for the Nubian communities the children got extra butt whippings by the older siblings neighbors or anybody else that was old enough to keep you in check if the parents didn't. You got into anything that was disrespectful or you got in trouble then your butt was theirs. And you can just say something wrong and got slapped into next week. The mom that raised me if she was too tired to whip you then she would ask the dad to do it. We couldn't even look at somebody like we were gonna hit them back. You would have to run away or hide to not get what was coming to you if you ever got caught doing something. Then you had to stay in your rooms with nothing. Back in the day kids got punished big time and if you ever saw a kid that got away with anything then, you would be shocked. I don't care how cute you were back in the day, you still had to behave yourself for anything. Your teachers and all of them had something to do with punishment. The kids that got disciplined the most were the main ones that stayed out of trouble. They were loved but brought up where if you parents meant business then you would learn to do what they said. People just think the Jacksons had to be different because they were well known stars and things should be different. You can tell how children were raised back in the day because they were always respectful and disciplined to their parents and other people. They spoke to you properly and they knew what language to use around older people and around the young and they followed all of the rules. We had schedules to follow and smaller siblings to look after and some of us became the head of the house hold and were taught to do what our parents ordered us to do. Yes we still had children that rebelled because of these strict rules and ties our parents had for us. The difference between us and the Jacksons is they were raised as entertainers and regular kids. By two people. We can't say they were abusive because the children would show the difference. Yet they have shown us how well their parents raised them. We can't get into any details but even the movie you watched About them called " The Jacksons an American Dream." One of the Son's Jermaine produced it and in it showed what kind of family they were. We saw it and that's how it was. Joseph did have a tight fist on his rules and how he felt towards moving forward . Yes he was still human though especially the way men were then and are still today as you can see half of the children's relationships with people or between each other. But we can't put what happened to them on the parents after they grew up and made their own decisions. Joseph tried to handle that so things wouldn't ruin their lives for the worse. He also went to most of their shows when he felt they really needed him. Which one thing they said they couldn't have done it without Joseph. They knew Joseph was still dad but I guess making them call him by his name showed them they were dealing with another person not just dad. The other girl was different because she was not them. They were special, they were stars. About the only abuse we actually seen is how they treated themselves or whatever rumors we saw of them later. So you see what you see now, One of the longest running Families ever in entertainment and they are a Nubian family at that. The American Dream. We are looking right at it and out of his children you never heard any were Murderers. Juvenile delinquents. Drug attics or dealers as children. Yes times and generations has changed and they didn't want to be hard on their children as Joseph pressed on them. Say if they did though we would probably see more of the new generation out there working as hard. They did have a hard life . way different than your normal children did. They were always so polite to thank us for being here. Always on their best behavior. All how they were raised. All people can think of are the little negative parts, and make something big out of it. as if we all had the perfect family. Nobody does. We all have our days. They had to live too. Everyone has emotions. We see their actually story here. From childhood till now. Let them truly be the judge on how they loved their parents. They all buried their Brother and Dad together in love. Can you imagine what they have truly known about those two all of their lives? Yes they had to live with them. So we should support them on how much they miss them. We think we do as much but we didn't even know the true everyday details of how they truly were as a family. Still the proof of love is in the pudding. I remember I bought some tickets over 200 dollars to go see one of Janet's last SOWT concerts, and Joseph had just passed away. It was a week later and I felt like I had to SEE that concert. She had already counseled her year before that. Now the greatest tragedy struck again ... They lost Joseph they lost their dad!! The greatest man ever that stood by their side. They let us know that too. I figured if anything would stop that concert that it would be because of the rain. But GOD shined for me and maybe because I must have done something good. I don't know but the concert went on . and it didn't rain. I found out later that the show went on because Janet stopped in the middle of the show and she honored her father. This was one place I was there. She had us all crying and I was already just glad to be there. She said " You know I didn't want to be here today I didn't want to go on... But Randy told me that wouldn't be what Joseph wanted ... He said he would have wanted you to go on. As Joseph would say Let's Go ahead. " They all would miss him sitting at their shows just for that papa Joe security feeling. He left them all to make sure they kept it that way with or without him. Now if that was an abusive father I don't know what you really think is LOVE.
