The fact he blamed her illness for his cheating. I think he was cheating well before her getting sick just made it easier to do so. Also the fact hes comfortable taking out 25,000 loan with another woman says everything i need to know about him.

I definitely believe that Mrs. Brooks needs therapy, and I also believe she’s not fighting against tradition from where she came from.
Mr. Brooks is not a sexaholic. His wife underwent serious surgery and recovery…. He checked out. Now maybe he checked out before her health concerns, but it doesn’t seem to be so. Therapy needs to start there. It sounds like he jumped around to different women to get whatever he deemed as needs to be met, but I don’t think he knows what he feels and that is never really explored. He was very despondent and check out his affect… That health issue affected him in ways he cannot describe.
