IVE was pretty much getting played everywhere when I was in korea in April... KITSCH! KITSCH! KITSCH! KITSCH! KITSCH! KITSCH! while I enjoy a relaxing(not) cup of coffee at a cafe, AND THAT IS WHOOO III AMMM while I was trying out clothes at a mall... In contrast with NMIXX's Young, Dumb, Stupid, KITSCH sounded like what IVE might do covering a NMIXX's song as a Queendom cover and doing it well with their own sound signature. I know many people including some of my friends who were wondering why KITSCH wasn't the title but the reason is that IVE title songs have always had a familiar/existing tune that they use and incorporate into a new song while having this forward vocals adding to the melody. I personally like I AM more but both songs are currently my 2nd and 3rd favorite title from them. And yes, you've guessed it, the original guide lyrics was B instead of K for KITSCH. Kep1er's Giddy somehow didn't really on with me. It sounded too flowy and didn't really have a very impactful chorus as compared to their other titles.. it's at the bottom for me (together with your favorite UP! lol.. oh wait i forgotten about Sugar Rush, that's bottom bottom). Also they are stuck in a small set again for this MV haha. Back to the City is a great b-side but it's not really a title kind of song. Showdown is a pretty good song but it somehow sounded like it dont belong, it didn't really bring their signature sound. Also Doa(Bella) not here for this comeback(on hiatus) really left a hole for them, at least that's what i felt. The choreography left so much to be desired, wished the movements were to be bigger.
I know exactly what you mean with kep1er, I just feel like they have so much potential that’s not being tapped into. I like giddy but it’s always like right when I get into it (the bridge to the end) the song ends…
Yeah for Kepler the girls and even the fans like the bside “Back to the City” way more than Giddy. They have a performance of it from their comeback show
Im always honest: Kitsch - awful chorus, one of the worst song of year! I am - not bad song! Giddy - Maybe a bit generic song....but in good way! A bit sexy specially with Dayeon! She is dangerous in that MV:P Show down - One of my favorite songs of 2023! REAL Kpop BOP! Cute, Sexy, Catchy, Bright!
